Life Simulation: My Talent Is Wool-Chapter 21: Wolves
Upon arriving at the ICU ward, Luan entered room 302. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
When he opened the door, he saw his twin sister lying in a bed, sustained by machines.
Walking over to her, seeing her cracked lips, pale face, even her poorly cared for hair, or even her more skeletal face... He felt a pain in his chest.
Holding her hand, he murmured: "Moly, don’t worry, your brother will find a way to wake you up and get you out of here."
It was a sincere promise. He had been searching for a concrete way to make this happen.
In the worst case scenario, he would manage to get a lot of money – enough to hire a specialist capable of waking her from the coma.
Although not everything is solved with money, if you have enough money, even if you pay more, it works.
The problem was that... At the present moment, these were just empty promises, only raising his level so that he would have a real chance of making it happen.
Besides one of his regular visits, Luan observed every detail, without letting anything escape.
Every piece of information was important. The smallest detail could lead him to discover the reason why his twin sister was still in a coma.
He asked nurse Maria to bring his sister’s fluid balance sheet.
It didn’t take long for nurse Maria to bring it.
"Here it is, Mr. Luan." She handed it over.
Taking it, he thanked her: "Thank you."
With a friendly smile, she said: "At your service."
After an exchange of courtesies, Luan continued sitting beside Moly’s bed and began to read the chart.
...
Visiting hours ended at 8:00 p.m.
Leaving the hospital, Luan already had a ride-share driver waiting for him.
"Mr. Luan Armstrong?"
"Yes." He answered, and got into the car.
...
At home, Luan ordered a spicy calabresa pizza.
It took 43 minutes to arrive.
While eating a slice of pizza, he was watching television.
[The daughter of businessman Eldorado Walker, Sarah Walker, at 17 years old, has managed to reach Lv2!]
Luan was a little surprised to see this news.
’If she achieved this on her own merit, it’s something incredible.’ He thought.
Soon, a video clip of Sarah Walker at Lv2 killing a Lv2 monster is shown. Her talent was vibration. Upon hitting the monster, the monster began to vibrate, and then exploded. It was brutal.
Swallowing hard, he thought: ’Powerful!’
After eating eight slices, he turned off the television. There were still 4 slices of pizza left, which he put on a plate and then took to the refrigerator.
He went to take a shower afterward, ready to sleep – or rather, to enter the Book of a Thousand Lives.

"Luan?"
The instant he returned, he started walking again, looking at Catharina, he said: "It’s nothing, I just thought I had forgotten something." He lied.
"Ohh..." She asked no more questions, remaining silent.
...
After hours of walking, night arrived.
The good thing about walking along the road was the low presence of wild animals.
Unlike ordinary animals, those that were at least Lv1 were more intelligent, they knew where they should and should not go.
Precisely because of this, the roads are not part of the territory of wild animals; even if they try, humans would eventually kill them, which is why it’s a kind of restricted area. Although they weren’t prevented from passing through there.
When camping, they chose a location close to the road. It was a bit enclosed, surrounded by trees, but it also helped protect them from large animals, since the passages were narrow.
"Shall we roast the pig?" Catharina asked.
"Yes, since you’ve already sucked all the blood, I just need to clean it." He said: "It will also reduce the weight we’re carrying."
Hearing this, Catharina nodded: "Okay."
On the ground, near Catharina’s feet, there was a tree that must have been felled a long time ago. The branches had already dried out.
With her hands transformed into claws, she cut the dry branches, throwing them in Luan’s direction to make the bonfire, then she cut the tree trunk several times, making two benches for them to sit on.
The two worked in perfect harmony. In minutes, everything was ready, from the tent set up to the bonfire with the whole body being roasted, skewered on a stick, and with Luan and Catharina taking turns to rotate the pig.
It was the first time Luan had roasted a pig like this... Honestly, he had never roasted any animal this way. Normally he would break it down completely, piece by piece, and cook it in parts.
It seemed like a waste to cook so much meat all at once, but his appetite had increased, and even Catharina’s was enormous. And if there was any left over, it could be saved for breakfast the next morning.
...
Wolves...
Several of them.
Attracted by the smell of roasting pork, they had practically surrounded Luan and Catharina.
"I should have imagined this would happen..."
Although Luan murmured these words, he didn’t seem worried.
He did a quick count. There were 32 wolves. A large number, but... All of them were at Lv1.
Only if there was a Lv2 would it represent any real danger, mainly because of Catharina who, even being Lv1, was almost equivalent to a Lv2.
And at night? Her strength practically doubled.
Taking off her hood and overcoat, Catharina simply threw them inside the open tent, then spread her arms with her hands in the form of claws, her nails longer than normal, shining dangerously in the moonlight and the firelight.
Luan wrapped his right hand with wool.
The wolves’ eyes glowed in the darkness of the night.
The tension in the air was almost palpable.
It seemed as if time had frozen, but the reality was that each one was waiting for an opportunity to attack.
Wolves were natural predators capable even of hunting the king of the jungle.
The alpha wolf in particular studied Luan and Catharina with precision. It was as if nothing could escape its predatory eyes.
"Now!" Luan shouted, kicking the tree-trunk bench toward one of the wolves.
*HOWL!*
At the sound of the alpha’s howl, fierce growling sounds echoed, mixed with the rapid footsteps of the wolves.
