Life In The Limelight : The Depressed Boy Has 4 Yandere Girlfriends-Chapter 17: Conquered
Chapter 17 - Conquered
The next day, Holo entered Scarlet's room, bracing himself for whatever mood she might be in. However, as soon as he stepped inside, he immediately noticed something was... different. Scarlet sat on her bed, her posture relaxed and confident, but there was a new air about her. Her trademark smug smile was back, but it lacked the sharp hostility he had grown used to. Instead, her gaze was warm, almost unsettlingly so.
When her eyes met his, they lit up, and her smile widened. "Holo," she said sweetly, tilting her head. "You're so cute."
The comment caught him completely off guard, and his face turned bright red. "W-What?" he stammered. "No, I'm not!"
"Yes, you are," Scarlet said, her tone playful yet strangely sincere. "Adorably cute, in fact."
"Stop saying that," Holo muttered, looking away as his cheeks burned.
"Why? It's true," she said with a soft laugh, standing up and walking toward him. Her movements were slow, deliberate, and her eyes never left his. "You're blushing, Holo. That's even cuter."
"I'm not cute," he insisted, though his voice wavered.
Scarlet stopped a few steps away from him, her expression a mix of amusement and affection. "Admit it," she said, her voice soft but firm. "You're cute."
"No, I'm not," he said, shaking his head.
"Yes, you are," she said, taking a step closer. "Come on, just say it. 'I'm cute.' It's not that hard."
Holo's face grew even redder, and he stumbled over his words. "I—I'm not going to say that."
Scarlet's smile turned mischievous, and she leaned in slightly. "If you don't admit it, I'll just keep saying it until you do. Cute, cute, cute. That's what you are, Holo."
He groaned, realizing he wasn't going to win this argument. "Fine! I'm cute, okay?"
Scarlet's eyes sparkled with satisfaction, and she clapped her hands together. "See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"
"You're impossible," Holo muttered, covering his face with his hands.
"Maybe," she said with a smirk. "But I'm right."
She took a step back, studying him with a thoughtful expression before asking, "What about me? Do you think I'm cute?"
Holo hesitated, unsure of how to answer. "I... I guess," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Scarlet's cheeks flushed, and she immediately turned away, placing her hands over her face. "You're so annoying," she muttered, though her voice trembled with excitement. "Don't say things like that."
"You asked," Holo pointed out, feeling slightly less flustered now that the tables had turned.
She let out a shaky breath, turning back to face him with a radiant smile. "Well, thank you," she said, her tone soft. "That's probably the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me."
Holo felt a pang of sympathy at her words, but before he could say anything, Scarlet walked over to her bed and sat down, patting the space next to her. "Come here," she said, her smile turning teasing. "Cuddle with me."
Holo froze, his mind racing. "I... I don't think that's a good idea."
"Why not?" she asked, tilting her head. "Are you scared?"
"I'm not scared," he said quickly. "I just don't think it's appropriate."
Scarlet rolled her eyes, her tone turning playful but with a hint of manipulation. "Oh, come on, Holo. Don't be such a loser. Are you really going to run away from a cute girl who just wants to cuddle?"
"I'm not running away," he said defensively, though his resolve was beginning to falter.
"Then prove it," she said, patting the bed again. "Unless you're too much of a coward."
Holo sighed, realizing he wasn't going to win this argument either. Reluctantly, he walked over and sat down next to her, his movements stiff and awkward. Scarlet immediately scooted closer, wrapping her arms around him and pulling him into a tight embrace.
"There," she said, resting her head on his shoulder. "See? Isn't this nice?"
Holo's face turned bright red, and he struggled to relax. "I guess..."
"You guess?" she said, leaning back to look at him with a pout. "Holo, cuddling with me should be the highlight of your day."
He couldn't help but chuckle at her dramatic tone. "It's... not bad."
Scarlet smiled, her expression softening. "You're such an idiot," she said, though there was no malice in her words. "But I like that about you."
Holo glanced at her, his heart pounding. "What do you think about me now?"
She paused, her smile fading slightly as she looked at him with an intensity that made his breath catch. "I think..." She hesitated, then took a deep breath. "I think I want to be your girlfriend."
Holo's eyes widened, and his heart raced as her words sank in. "Scarlet, I..."
"Don't say no," she said quickly, her voice trembling. "I know I'm not perfect. I know I've been horrible to you. But you've been so patient with me, and you've made me feel things I've never felt before. I... I love you, Holo."
Her confession hung in the air, and Holo felt a mix of emotions—surprise, joy, and a strange sense of relief. He smiled, his voice soft as he replied, "Okay."
Scarlet blinked, her cheeks turning red. "O-Okay?"
"I'll be your boyfriend," he said, his smile growing. "But you have to promise not to manipulate me anymore."
She laughed softly, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "No promises," she teased. "But I'll try."
And just like that, Holo realized he had reached a milestone. Two down, two to go.
