Life In The Limelight : I Married A Gamer Girl-Chapter 17: Tickle Fight
Chapter 17 - Tickle Fight
It was a bright, sunny afternoon, and Kazuma and Masako decided to take a stroll through the bustling city streets. They hadn't planned anything in particular—just a relaxing day to unwind and enjoy each other's company. Masako had wandered off momentarily, entranced by a window display at a nearby boutique, while Kazuma waited a few steps away, scrolling through his phone.
Suddenly, a woman approached Kazuma with a confident sway in her step. She was dressed to impress, her eyes sparkling with intent as she leaned toward him. "Hey there," she said, her tone dripping with charm. "I couldn't help but notice you standing here all alone. You've got such a sharp look—do you work in fashion or something?"
Kazuma, caught off guard, looked up from his phone. "Uh, no," he said, his tone polite but firm. "And I'm not alone. I'm waiting for my wife."
The woman's smile didn't waver. Instead, she moved closer, ignoring his words entirely. "Wife? Come on, you don't have to make excuses. I'm just trying to make conversation. You seem like a fun guy."
Kazuma's eyes narrowed, his posture stiffening as he took a small step back. "I'm serious," he said, his voice growing firmer. "I'm married, and I'm not interested. Please, leave me alone."
But the woman didn't take the hint. She reached out, lightly brushing her hand against his arm. "Oh, don't be like that," she purred. "We're just talking. No harm in that, right?"
From across the street, Masako turned just in time to see the woman pressing herself closer to Kazuma. Her golden eyes immediately narrowed as she saw her husband trying to push the woman's hand away, his discomfort evident. Without a second thought, Masako strode toward them, her hair swaying as she moved with purpose.
As she approached, the woman finally noticed her, her expression faltering as Masako slipped her arm through Kazuma's and leaned into him. "Excuse me," Masako said, her tone sweet but with an unmistakable edge. "I believe you're talking to my husband."
The woman's eyes widened, taking in Masako's striking appearance—her poise, her sharp gaze, and her effortless beauty. The jealousy was almost instant, and she quickly took a step back. "Oh, I didn't realize..." the woman stammered, her confidence crumbling.
Masako smiled, though the sharpness in her gaze remained. "Well, now you do." She tightened her grip on Kazuma's arm and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Come on, dear," she said softly, her voice laced with affection. "We've got places to be."
Kazuma, still flustered from the encounter, looked at Masako with a mixture of relief and gratitude. "Right," he said, giving her a small smile. "Let's go."
As they walked away together, the woman stood frozen in place, her jealousy evident as she watched the couple leave. Masako leaned closer to Kazuma, her golden eyes softening as her earlier sharpness melted into warmth. "Are you okay, dear?" she asked.
Kazuma nodded, letting out a small sigh. "I'm fine. Thank you for stepping in, sweetie. I was handling it, but... it's nice to have you by my side."
Masako grinned, her teasing nature returning. "Well, I couldn't just let someone try to steal my husband, now could I?"
He chuckled, squeezing her hand. "You've got nothing to worry about. No one could ever take your place."
Masako smiled brightly, leaning her head against his shoulder as they continued their walk. Together, they left the awkward encounter behind, their bond stronger than ever. No matter what challenges came their way, they always had each other—and that was all that mattered.
Oncw they retuened home, Kazuma and Masako were taking a well-earned break after a long day of work. The evening was calm, the soft glow of their living room lights casting a cozy ambiance. They were lounging on the couch, playfully bantering as they talked about random things, Masako's golden eyes twinkling with mischief.
"You always get so serious when you're coding, dear," Masako teased, poking his side lightly. "You should lighten up once in a while."
Kazuma chuckled, his light blue eyes glancing at her. "I focus because someone has to keep things running smoothly while you come up with a thousand new ideas, sweetie."
Masako grinned, leaning closer. "Oh, so now you're saying I'm distracting?" Her fingers darted forward, poking him again.

Kazuma squirmed slightly, trying to grab her hands. "Masako, don't—"
Before he could finish, she lunged at him, her fingers finding his sides and tickling him mercilessly. "Gotcha!" she said, laughing as Kazuma tried to wiggle away.
"Masako! S-stop!" he gasped between laughter, his light blue hair falling into his eyes as he struggled against her.
But Masako was relentless, her golden eyes sparkling with joy as she continued her attack. "Admit it, dear! You're at my mercy!"
Kazuma tried to grab her hands, but Masako was too quick. She shifted her position, straddling him on the couch and pinning his wrists down with her hands. "Got you now," she said, her voice playful and triumphant.
Kazuma's cheeks flushed as he realized the position they were in. Masako leaned over him, her dark brown hair falling around her face as she grinned mischievously. Her figure was pressed against him, and he could feel the softness of her body as she leaned closer, her golden eyes watching him intently.
"Masako," he said, his voice slightly flustered. "You've made your point. Let me up."
But Masako wasn't done teasing. She leaned down even further, her face inches from his as her grin widened. "Why should I, dear? You look so cute like this."
Kazuma's blush deepened as he tried to turn his head away, but Masako wasn't having it. She pressed herself closer, her chest lightly brushing against him, and whispered, "What's the matter, dear? Cat got your tongue?"
"You've got to stop doing this," Kazuma muttered, his voice a mix of exasperation and amusement.
Masako giggled, shifting her grip, letting his wrists go, but instead of getting up, she leaned her full weight on him, her soft curves pressing against him as she rested her chin on his chest.
Kazuma stared up at her, his light blue eyes meeting her playful golden gaze. Despite his embarrassment, he couldn't help but smile. "You really know how to mess with me."
"That's my job," Masako teased, leaning down to kiss his cheek.
As the two lay tangled on the couch, laughter and warmth filling the room, it became clear once again how much they enjoyed every moment together—whether it was playful teasing, quiet affection, or simply being in each other's presence. Their bond, built on love and endless fun, only grew stronger with each passing day.
