Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 79. No More Broken Bonds
The night went by slowly because they were both too emotionally raw to sleep right away. They whispered about everything and nothing.
Carmilla told Rick stories about her dead husband. She was finally able to talk about those memories without feeling guilty about moving on.
Rick talked about his past life. He also talked about how he needed to matter to someone in order to feel like he was alive.
As the hours went by, the talk became quieter and more personal. Carmilla’s hand ran over the dragon scales that were now a permanent part of Rick’s skin.
They were a gift from his bond with Sylvia. Rick’s fingers brushed over the faint scars that healing magic couldn’t quite get rid of. They were from battles that Carmilla had won.
"I was scared in that quarry," Carmilla said, her voice barely above a whisper. "When that collar broke our bond, it felt like dying..."
"I can feel like a part of my soul has been ripped out, and I’ve never felt so alone."
Rick said, "I felt it too. I knew something was terribly wrong the moment the bond broke. It felt like losing a limb, but the limb was connected to my heart."
Carmilla looked up at him, and her face showed that she was weak. "Make me a promise."
"Anything."
"Don’t ever go into danger alone again. We’re partners in all things."
"Not just fighting or going on adventures, but life. I mean it by everything! I need to be there to support you if you’re going to put yourself in dangerous situations. Even if being there makes me a target or puts me in danger, I still want to support you."
"I’d rather be in danger with you than be safe without you."
Rick held her face in his hands. "I promise. No more acting like a hero on your own."
"We face everything together."
Carmilla’s smile was real and soft, and it changed the way her whole face looked. "Okay. If you break that promise, I’ll bring you back from the dead myself."
"Death has already taken one of my loves, and I won’t lose another without a fight."
She kissed him again, but this time it was different. Not scared or desperate, but sweet and full of hope.
Rick did the same thing and pulled her closer. Their bond, both physical and through the Spirit Bond, grew stronger.
Carmilla’s Guardian’s Resolve ability flared up, but it felt different this time. Not just energy that protects, but something more.
A fundamental change is happening in the nature of their bond. Rick also felt a change in the connection that went beyond normal Spirit Bond mechanics.
[GUARDIAN’S RESOLVE EVOLVING]
[GENUINE LOVE DETECTED]
[MUTUAL VULNERABILITY ACHIEVED]
[NEW ABILITY UNLOCKED: UNBREAKABLE WILL]
The feeling was too much. Rick felt their bond grow stronger in a way that it hadn’t before, going beyond the usual Spirit Bond limits.
He could clearly see where Carmilla was, how she was feeling, and how she was doing physically. No amount of distance or magic could stop him from doing this.
"What is this?" Carmilla gasped, which indicated that she felt it too.
"The bond changed," Sebastian’s voice said, and the little butler appeared on the bedside table. "It’s called an Unbreakable Bond."
"This kind of progress is very rare and only happens when both partners are completely open with their feelings and truly love each other."
"Rick, Carmilla can now always know where you are and how you are doing. There is no magic that can stop it."
"Not even death, not even teleportation, or even anti-magic collars could completely break this link."
"So if someone takes me again—" Carmilla started.
Rick finished by saying, "You’ll know exactly where I am and how I’m doing. No more broken ties between us."
Sebastian nodded. "Exactly. I’d rather we never have to deal with kidnappings again, though. I can’t take much more stress."
Carmilla really did laugh, and it sounded bright and real. "Agreed. Once was more than enough."
Sebastian disappeared with a sharp cough about giving them space, and the room was quiet again except for the soft light from the healing crystals. Carmilla moved in Rick’s arms, and for the first time, she looked shy.
"I don’t want you to leave this bed tonight."
Rick flinched for a second and told her, "(OH SHIT...! Here it is! Carmilla’s route...!) I wasn’t going to."
"Well..." Carmilla’s cheeks turned red. "I need you."
"Not just how they feel. I have to make sure this is real. That you are real. We are both alive and together, and this nightmare has come to an end."
Rick started to understand. "Carmilla, you don’t have to—"
"I want to." She looked him in the eye, and her face showed both weakness and desire. "Please, Rick... I really need you so much..."
What happened next was sad, tender, and desperate all at the same time. Rick’s heart hurt because Carmilla’s walls had come down completely, leaving her bare and open.
He was kind to her and took his time. He showed her what words couldn’t fully say through his actions.
Because they both felt the same way, their connection was stronger than either of them had thought it would be. Every kiss, gentle touch, and whispered word of love made their connection stronger and stronger.
It wasn’t just a matter of the body. It was spiritual, two broken and battered souls finding peace with each other. Carmilla finally released the sadness over her husband’s death from her heart. Carmilla’s acceptance of Rick filled his desperate need to matter, to be wanted, and to be loved.
When they finally lay together, breathing hard and joyful, the Unbreakable Bond settled into place with a feeling like a key turning in a lock. It fits perfectly and is full of connection.
Carmilla whispered "I love you" against Rick’s chest.
Rick kissed her hair and said, "I love you too."
"Fucking hell... we didn’t have sex today... just touches, family-friendly touches, of course..." Rick let out his disappointment in his thoughts.
"That narration is overdoing it... anyway... at least I can tell she’s craving it, but she’s not ready yet, and I need to do something about it tomorrow."
They fell asleep like that, wrapped in each other and the bond they’d forged through fire and fear and finally... love.
...
The sun slowly came up in the morning, shining through the crystal-paned windows. Rick woke up first and saw that Carmilla was still asleep in his arms.
Her face was peaceful in a way he had never seen before. She no longer felt the constant stress she usually did. Instead, she felt calm and pleased.
Rick could sense her dreams through their bond—dreams that felt safe, filled with happiness. He was present in them, both as her protector and as someone who felt protected in return.
He didn’t want to wake her up because he was happy to just hold her and watch the sunlight make patterns on her skin. But after a while, Carmilla’s eyes opened, and she smiled at him with such warmth that Rick’s heart stopped.
"Ummm... huh...?" She said softly, "Good... morning, Rick..."
"Good morning," Rick said, moving a piece of hair out of her face. "How are you?"
"Complete," Carmilla said with a smile. "I feel whole again for the first time in five years."
They stayed together for a while longer, not wanting to break the peaceful bubble they had made. But eventually, their duties and the world that needed saving got in the way of their fun.
Rick said, "We should probably get up," but he didn’t want to. "People will be wondering where we are."
"They can wonder a little longer," Carmilla said, but she was already sitting up and stretching muscles that were sore from the movement until she flinched a little.
Rick asked, "Are you okay?"
Carmilla said, "Just sore. My body has been through a lot lately, with the kidnapping and the fighting."
"Even though I’m fully healed right now, still getting a sore really makes me feel like I’ve been getting older lately..." Carmilla sighed.
"There it is...! I can see my chance to have sex...!" Rick can see a pattern with how she talks.
"I could give you a massage," Rick said, but then he thought about how that might sound.
Carmilla’s eyes sparkled with trouble. "Could you now? The outstanding Hero of Mature Hearts gives massages?"
"I’m not kidding! You can enjoy today’s activities with a sore body. That’s why Rick Rolland here wants to help."
"I know you are." Carmilla’s smile got softer. "And I would love that, but first, let me get ready to look wonderful. I must look awful with all the crying yesterday..."
She got out of bed and went to the bathroom next door. Rick watched her leave, admiring how gracefully she moved even though she was worn out and sore.
His relationship with Carmilla had changed in a big way. The Unbreakable Bond showed that.
He could sense her in the next room, happy and relaxed in the warm water. Their connection made her emotions a steady hum of happiness.
And then after waiting... Carmilla came back to the bedroom while only wearing a towel.
"I’m ready when you are, Rick..."
