Leveling Technology To Save Humanity-Chapter 93: A Happy Event!
Chapter 93: A Happy Event!
So much to do... so little time.
The more Gort thought of things, the more questions and concerns flooded his brain.
It’s true that the moon also has quite a few minerals of its own, but it’s still a fact that they will continue underwater retrieval and exploration, to also know what’s going on down there.
—Are the toxicity levels dropping or increasing?
—What new species can be found?
—What happened to the world buried underneath the flood?
—What about the reasons for well known active volcanoes?
—Have those areas become toxic hot spring regions underneath the flood? fгeewebnovёl.com
—Do you know what dangers will lurk underneath after the Flood comes?
They have to keep heading down there to understand it all. In the end, there was so much to prepare for and do, in so little time.
’For now, we’ll start with the Hoverboard—The Anti Gravitational Hoverboard.’
Gort was someone who acted fast when set with a plan.
In a flash, he looked through the Internet, purchasing a hoverboard for himself. Before reinventing and modifying, it’s vital he understood all the principles surrounding this simple big fun gadget and transportation mode.
It’s true that there were no crazy technological aspects when it came to creating these things, but this doesn’t mean he should neglect these aspects. And with his high Intelligence, it shouldn’t take long to master all currently known principals.
From there, he will integrate, modify, test, create and upgrade it to his desired thoughts.
The future sure was bright, despite its current bleak state. 4 hours later, Gort left his office and headed home thanks to Thulu’s surprise visit.
Well, his future wife cared about his health. He hasn’t eaten since morning, and his mother Clare Rei, had hinted this fact to Thulu.
Gort shook his head wryly, allowing Thulu to pamper him to the best of her capabilities.
....
The morning light had not started pouring in, and Mugenzi was already breathing the crisp heated, summery air.
Unlike in the past, his face looked more youthful, with a broad silly grin on his lips. Through the colorful beams of dim light flickering through the windows, Mugenzi could still tell it should be 5 in the morning.
Time to rise and shine!
In another 35 minutes, he was refreshed and all dressed.
"Mom?..."
Mugenzi was taken back when seeing his mother wiping her teary eyes by the stove. Megenzi’s face grew pale, walking to her side hastily.
"What’s wrong with you mom?"
"What’s the matter? Can’t I cry out tears of joy? How old are you? 33! Can’t I be happy that I will soon carry my grandchildren?"
Mugenzi almost lost his footing, hugging his mother wryly.
In all his life, he has never seen his mother cry. Village women were tough and could weather many storms. They have received more rejection than anyone can imagine.
What’s more, because of their earlier Poverty, they’ve taken several hits from society. Suddenly seeing his mother look so frail made Mugenzi’s heart ripple.
"Okay, okay, your son is finally getting married after countless rejections. Shouldn’t you be laughing, rather than moping?"
Sigh...
Mugenzi gently ran his hands on his mother’s back, his broad shoulders now cloaking her warmly. Since when did he grow so big?
Well, Mugenzi wasn’t a large fellow, just slender, but fit and in good shape. After all the farming he’s gone year round, his abs have already been pronounced and his arms and muscles also pronounced too.
After a brief touchy-feely moment, his mother quickly pushed him away and smacked the back of his head playfully. Sure enough, this was the mother he knew and grew up with.
"You brat! Why must you be so nosy? If I want to cry, it’s my Goddamn right to cry! Now, come here and help me taste this soup. Our in-laws will be here by noon. Everything must be ready and perfect before then!"
They’ve been preparing for their arrival for over 2 weeks now. Mugenzi was also secretly pleased, happy to be the girl he has long wanted to marry.
His Wangia had long wanted to marry him but her parents had often rejected the notion of sending their only daughter to suffer in a poor man’s home.
Truthfully, Mugenzi didn’t resent them. They weren’t bad people. It’s just that they didn’t want their only daughter to love a life of suffering.
Speaking of which, Wangia was 9 years younger than him. Till date, he didn’t understand what it was she saw in him that made her turn down several eligible suitors. He also had no courage to fight for their love in his former state, feeling that she deserved better.
Most girls wish to marry out into the city, but she wished to marry into a poor place.
The girl was strange .. strangely cute.
Mugenzi chuckled, following behind his mother and assisting in all last minute chores. Their in-laws were coming today.
Finally, he was one step closer in marrying his beloved Wangia!
....
The sun was slowly rising from the east, waving its golden butt on the faces of many. Today, just like Mugenzi, Wangia was thrilled beyond measure.
It was funny that there were still several hours before the appointed time for the meetup to begin.
Geldhan village was 4 hours and 20 minutes away from theirs from its West roads. Unlike Mugenzi, she woke up at 4 AM, finding she couldn’t sleep anymore.
The excitement was killing her.
At 4 in the morning, she was like a little rat scouting about the home and waking light sleepers like her parents up.
In the village, who the hell sleeps heavily?
Seeing his daughter’s excited state, Father Cleave looked like he had eaten a fly.
Hmph!
"What’s so great about that Geldhan Boy?"
Father Cleave was twisting and squirming at the breakfast table, unhappy that the cabbage he worked so hard to grow was about to be eaten by some old cow.
The boy was 33, almost a decade younger than his cabbage!
Well, to be honest, even if his little girl brought in a man the same age as her, he would still have bias against that man.
That’s his little cabbage who used to yell Daddy, Daddy, and follow him around like a tail. What’s wrong with him taking care of his precious baby for the rest of his life?
In his eyes, she was still too young!
Mother Cleave rolled her eyes heavenward, not concerning herself with her husband’s sour mood. Although she too would miss the little girl, at least her Wangia wasn’t marrying far. After all, the girl would marry sooner or later. So shouldn’t they be happy she was marrying next door to them?
Mother Cleave dishes food for everyone, before teasingly flicking Wangia’s forehead. "You little girl, look at the way you’re squirming in your seat. Are you so happy to leave your parents?"
"Mom..." Wangia blushed shyly, knowing her mother was teasing her.
Will she miss her parents? Of course she would! But... but she didn’t want to miss this opportunity at all!
You don’t know how much work and effort it took to convince them to finally marry Mugenzi.
Thinking of her man, Wangia felt warm.
Last week, Mugenzi and his family visited to officially make their inventions known.
The moment they stepped into the village, no one could ignore their presence. From their complexions, to the vehicle they drove and clothes, they looked like transformed people, resembling nothing of their former selves.
It’s not that they were bragging. They only wished to tell her parents that they could take her off her and would never allow her to wallow in poverty.
They aren’t promising that they will be rich forever. But... they were promising that if they had, she in turn would never lack. In the eyes of Mugenzi’s parents, she was a savior who saved their son from bachelorhood.
Like so, the family of 3 ate swiftly, and soon received a few uncles who would be accompanying them for their journey.
The dirt old wagon truck borrowed from the village head’s family was the best in the village.
They had washed it several times in preparation for today.
Everyone wore their best attire, some entering the vehicle and sitting inside, while others chose to sit or stand in the wagon boot that was typically used to transport vegetables and foods to the markets.
In total, 9 people came for this trip.
Leaving their village, it took quite a lengthy amount of time to get to the main highway–an entire 2 hours 46 minutes. That’s how bad their roads were.
Then, it was smooth sailing from there. They thought they would meet an even worse Geldhan village road after leaving the highway.
But... What was this?
Why was there so much construction on the roads?
For now, only 3 lanes have been fully levelled with tar from the highway right up to Geldhan village itself.
Two (2) lanes were dedicated for going towards Geldhan village and one for leaving.
Looking at the left side of the road, anyone can see the level of construction that was still going on.
...It seems Geldhan village wanted to open up more lanes on the sides.
