Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!-Chapter 330: The Blood Castle
Chapter 330: The Blood Castle
Ethan spent quite some time inspecting the VR capsule. His original plan was to clean it thoroughly, but the soft padding inside turned out to be inseparable from the wiring. There was no easy way to remove or wash it without risking damage. In the end, he gave up.
He’d either have to head down the mountain tomorrow to buy a new one or take this unit to a professional cleaner in the city.
With a sigh, he closed the capsule hatch and retrieved the familiar Model XVI-701 VR headset. He hadn’t used it in a while, and re-entering Ethereal this way felt... clunky. The sensation lacked the depth and fidelity he’d grown used to.

[Ding... System Notification: King of Elves Bloodline upgraded to Level 3!]
So, Morzan hadn’t lied after all.
Ethan opened the Bloodline Panel:

Aside from the new attribute, everything else remained the same. The second special attribute—Spirit and Mana—caught Ethan’s attention. He figured "Spirit" referred to Soul Power, and "Mana" was clearly Energy. The first attribute seemed tailored toward amplifying skill damage, while the second improved sustainability in combat.
He recalled how Energy Fusion in battle always drained his reserves quickly. With this buff, he should be able to hold out longer.
As for Soul Power, he’d used his Soul Sense to scan the Whitmore territories that first night. The aftermath had been brutal—a piercing headache and an empty feeling in his mind. Clearly, that had been Soul depletion.
Earlier, he’d asked Morzan about his strength. The old man’s response: "Hard to say." Cryptic, as always. Was that an admission that even Morzan couldn’t gauge him anymore?
He’d need to find someone to spar with soon and see for himself. Based on current Energy User classifications, his abilities didn’t fit any mold anymore. Not that it mattered. Power was power.
---
Opening his Divine Teleportation interface, he saw the coordinate he’d marked earlier—right at the base of the mountain. He could teleport out whenever he wanted.
Current level: 61.
A grin tugged at the corner of his mouth. At this level, there was no place he couldn’t handle.
---
Leaving the General’s Tomb behind, Ethan reconfirmed his coordinates and darted forward. At Level 61, he held at least a fifteen-level advantage over most players. What was there to fear?
While running, he opened his inventory and re-equipped the Twilight War Spear. To his surprise, the weapon had grown significantly. He remembered checking it when it was still at Level 35. Even then, it was powerful. But now...

The spear had been quietly evolving with every level, though Ethan hadn’t been paying attention. Most of the secondary attributes remained stable, but the range and duration of its Forbidden spells had grown. He equipped the weapon and eagerly opened his full character panel.

His attack power had skyrocketed. But something felt... off. His base stats were now outstripping what even high-end equipment could offer. If it weren’t for the spear, his weapon attack would already be falling behind.
The issue was clear—his gear hadn’t kept up with his level. Most of it was outdated. He’d been stockpiling rare ores and minerals, but his Divine Forging skill remained stuck. Just gathering materials every day wasn’t enough.
He made a mental note to reinforce his Blazing Necklace, which he had sent back earlier without upgrading. Another oversight.
---
As he finished checking his stats, the scenery around him shifted. The terrain grew barren, lifeless. He shifted into Stag Form to travel faster and dashed across the plains. Hours passed like this.
Eventually, he slowed down. A massive silhouette loomed in the distance—an ancient, towering structure.
It wasn’t a player hub or sanctuary town. This was a fortress of death.
The Blood Castle.
Constructed by the Vampire King Osloak, the place reeked of old blood and secrets. Nothing lived within several kilometers of its grounds. No NPCs, no beasts, no monsters. Any creature—or player—that wandered close was slaughtered by unseen assassins lurking in the dark.
Ethan was now only a few hundred meters from the gate.
Within this zone, elite vampire creatures prowled invisibly. Each was at least Level 55. Thanks to his stat advantage, he could faintly spot their translucent outlines if they came within three meters.
This was the real reason no one had dared venture here.
The monsters weren’t just strong—they were invisible. And their levels towered over the average player’s.
Players had tried, of course. Some vanished without a trace. Others died without ever knowing what killed them. Even system death messages only vaguely attributed it to "a vampire."
Until someone mapped this place and uncovered its secrets, the guilds of the Carnage Faction wouldn’t risk launching a siege.
Besides, they were at a disadvantage. Carnage lacked Priests and Paladins—classes crucial in dealing with stealthy or undead threats. Only Shamans could deploy the Eye of True Sight to detect hidden enemies. Hunters had detection tools too, but most specialized in Marksmanship, not Tracking.
This made anti-stealth builds exceedingly rare—and heavily sought after by large guilds.
Ethan knew better. To conquer the Blood Castle, even dozens of detection classes wouldn’t be enough. The scale of stealth and danger here was simply too great.

As Ethan’s Panther Form padded onto the blood-soaked soil near the castle gates, a strange energy surged up through his limbs. His strength drained almost instantly, as if the very ground were feeding on him.
A wave of weakness spread through his body. The Blood Curse had taken hold, and the Blood Castle was watching.
