Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 194: Hah...I Knew It...
With a soft hum fading in the distance, Aoni stepped onto solid ground after a significantly shorter return trip to Genovia and inhaled deeply.
Although he hadn't admitted it aloud, there was a drastic and noticeable difference between his Territory and that of his homeland. Energia aside, the air was so much more…crisp.
Sure, being at such a high altitude did wonders for his body as well, and since he'd spent a lot of time acclimating to the change in air density, his lungs were several times stronger than that of any Olympian (Traveler Stats Aside).
Unfortunately, the moment he stepped out of the small closet-like room he'd created for his flume, Aoni was assaulted by several foul odors and a mess to end all messes.
"Hahh…I knew it…I knew those two would cause some kind of mess," pinching the brim of his nose and stepping over all manner of clutter, Aoni tried to stay calm while observing what was once a clean and orderly home that had been transformed into a garbage dump.
Rotting plants, bones, litter, Trinkets, hell, if he didn't know any better, he'd have thought his cave had turned into a rat's nest with all the garbage everywhere.
Funny enough, the only space that seemed intact was his bedroom, which had a certain bed and nest positioned on top of his.
Sighing for the 10th time in the last 5 minutes, Aoni thought back to his Dad's instruction and closed his eyes while visualizing the mental image of two strings being tugged on, followed by channeling some Energia into said strings and speaking.
"You two have five minutes to get your butts home, or else!" holding two fingers to his temple and speaking clearly, Aoni's voice echoed out into the void.
'GAO???? GAOOO'
'BROTHER, YOU TALKED; YOU'RE BACK!"
That's right, among the many things Aoni asked his father after the "Education" from his Mom was how to speak with his summons using the LoS. As it turns out, the method of doing so was so simple an infant could do it…well…a Genovian native infant.
Realistically, Aoni had never really stopped and tried actually to figure out how it worked, and if he had done so much as asked Nyria, he could have learned within a couple of seconds.
The answer had been right in front of his face the whole time, and Aoni even felt a bit ashamed when thinking back to the weird look he received from his Dad when asking about telepathic communication.
Opening his eyes and wincing after spotting the disorderly state of his home, Aoni's shoulders drooped, and he walked toward the door, mentally preparing himself for whatever hellish landscape was on the other side.
'They better not have destroyed all my hard work,' taking a slow, deep breath, he swung open the door…and was pleasantly surprised to see nearly everything was as he left it.
There was no garbage, the crafting station was in one piece and tidy, and the only thing that seemed to have been moved from its original position were the storage chests.
"CHEEEE!!!!"

FWOOOSHH
'Oh SHIT!'
BANG!
Before Aoni could prepare himself for impact, a blue blur crashed into his chest, sending him sliding back into the cave several feet.
"Chee chee chee cheee"
'Brother, you came back. I'm so happy you're home; I missed you so much, so much, so much,' Nyria's voice entered his mind as erratic and cute as usual, causing the lad to wrap his arms around the birb and hug her.
"I missed you too, Nyria," smiling softly as he cradled the large fledgling in his arms like a baby and gave her plenty of attention for a minute or two; Aoni allowed her some time to let her emotions out before eventually looking over his shoulder at the cave and sighing.
"Seems like you had it rough, let me guess, Glacia?"
Following her lord's line of sight, Nyria froze for a moment, then trembled slightly as she was scared Aoni was going to be mad at her.
"Chee…eee."
'I tried really hard, brother, but she keeps throwing things here and there, and before I knew what was happening, it looked like that. Even if I pick up, it always looks dis way before bedtime.'
"It's okay; you did your best; at least you were able to keep the camp in one piece, but before your sister gets here, is there anything I should know about?"
Turning to look back down at his summon, Aoni's eyes scanned her's while Nyria fell into thought, running through everything that had transpired in the last week.
Before long, she began narrating her adventures, from defeating many beasts to picking out more trinkets and storing away anything she thought may be valuable.
'Oh, oh, oh, don't worry, brother. I gathered up all the chewy things and hid them so big sister didn't eat any.' Sitting by the campfire, which Aoni had relighted while Nyria was explaining things, the birb used a wing to pat her chest proudly.
"Oh? Do you mean the Energia Cells?" Suddenly feeling a bit excited, Aoni leaned forward and scratched Nyria under the chin while silently wondering where the hell his floof was.
It had taken Nyria about 20 minutes to bring him up to speed, and apart from random Gao's in his head, he had yet to lay eyes on the furry missile.
"Clack clack click,"
'Yeah, dose things. I got em hidden up high where sister can't find them in one of those little box thingys you made. Do you want me to go get 'em for you?' Clicking her beak several times, smiling with her eyes, and enjoying the attention, Nyria asked.
"Sure, if they aren't too far away; also, if you run into your sister, snatch her up and drag her home, I bet she's hiding because she knows she's in trouble," smacking his lips and sharing a laugh with his birb, Aoni watched as Nyria took to the skies and vanished from sight.
Once he was sure she could no longer see him, Aoni got up and walked into the cave with a serious expression on his face.
"It seems things were worse over here than I thought they'd be. According to Nyria, every morning and evening, thousands of monsters throw themselves at the walls trying to break in, and if it weren't for the strength of the walls and the traps outside, there is a strong chance they could have been in a bad spot." With that said, Aoni began moving around and cleaning his cave with the aid of supplies brought back from Terra.
