Lucas was momentarily stunned by the sudden turn of events. It was one thing to be considered the leader by his friends, but to have the system officially bestow upon him the title of "Leader" was a weighty responsibility. "Skull breaker?" Sean said after Jerry and got rejected as first as with Jerry.

"Hm…" John seemed to want to say something and Lucas was all ears. After a moment, he finally opened his mouth.

"How about Survivor’s Haven?"

Lucas couldn’t help but smile at the name, it sounded good. After everyone’s approval. He spoke the words ’Survivor’s Haven’ aloud.

[You have the authority to set diplomatic relations with neighboring territories.]

’Damn’ Lucas couldn’t help but think, his eyes were glued to the messages.

Everyone froze when they heard the voice, their eyes slowly moved to the one who screamed just now.

Ella was the most dumbfounded one out of all as she looked at the Basilon kid.

"D-Did it just speak?" Haley asked with a pale expression, clearly the idea of the animal that spoke came as a bad one for her.

The basilon kid lazily looked at its mother’s expression and then at the others, it gave a growl of annoyance from their gaze.

"Did we eat some hallucination food? I clearly heard it say food so loudly just now." Jerry said while scratching his chin.

"It’s not possible, I make everything you all eat and nothing bad can be used while I cook," Haley stated with seriousness making things sure that she didn’t like people judging her cooking.

Lucas got up and moved, he stopped right in front of the basilon kid and crouched down. The basilon kid looked at Lucas with curiosity and tried to move its mouth near Lucas’s knee.

Lucas made his hand toward the Basilon’s neck and started scratching it.

"…" Lucas couldn’t help but stop scratching its neck as he looked at Ella for some explanation.

"I am just as oblivious as you are. He clearly couldn’t speak just a few hours ago."

The sound came out of its mouth again while it looked at Lucas for more scratches. The sound may have felt intense but it had an inkling of a child’s innocence in it.

Lucas couldn’t help but be captivated by the strange occurrence. His gaze shifted between the Basilon kid and his friends, who were still processing the shock of a talking creature in their midst.

The Basilon kid continued to make unusual sounds, almost as if it was trying to convey something to them. It kept its face on Lucas’s lap, occasionally nudging him as if seeking attention.

Ella, trying to make sense of the situation, tentatively reached out her hand toward the Basilon kid. She scratched the creature’s furry head, and it let out a contented purring sound.

"It seems like it’s not a hallucination," Ella said, her voice filled with a mixture of awe and amusement. "But how is this even possible?"

"The language skill." John chimed in like a hero and said with his voice filled with sureness.

Lucas looked at the basilon kid in awe.

"We can communicate with monster too?"

"He’s not a monster, just a normal animal." Ella corrected Lucas while hugging the kid and giving it rubs.

The basilon kid couldn’t seem happier as it moved its head up while indicating that he wanted more and was enjoying it.

Lucas exchanged glances with his friends, and a sense of wonder filled the air.

The unexpected ability to communicate with animals was another extraordinary aspect of their new world, one they couldn’t have foreseen. It was yet another sign that the rules of their reality were different from what they had known.

"But it seemed to have only a few words, Mom. Make it speak again."

"Don’t force him, Barney. He will speak when he wants to."

"Sure" John said while Ella just nodded and went on with pampering the creature.

Lucas went and sat with John and discussed about all the things he was seeing in front of him.

"It seems you will have to first make us members of this territory first."

Lucas nodded and clicked on the members option in the new hologram that contained all the information about what he could do with this territory.

The members list was for now zero but Lucas had a way of making it increase.

He focused on the side of his eyes when the party list came up after a long time in front of him. He thought about adding John to the party and soon, another message came in front of him.

[Add ’John’ to the territory as a ’member’? -YES -NO]

Lucas clicked on the ’YES’ when he saw John look in front of him in a daze.

[Succesfully added ’John’ to the territory!]
