Chapter 56: The Infinity Eyes

"Impatient much?"

The words echoed through the arena.

On the stage, White could be seen having thrown a punch straight towards the man’s face, but contact was never made.

It mysteriously came to a stop about 10 inches away from his face.

"Instructor Iritis isn’t here to do a countdown, is he?"

He replied, and his lips curved.

"Good observation."

VROOOOM!

The air before White twisted, and he felt a powerful force blast back his arm with such power that it was like someone held his hands and used them to fling his entire body into the air.

He travelled 6 meters backwards before landing on one of the seats, already out of the arena.

’He’s strong.’

"I wouldn’t have normally wasted my time on an outcast."

The man called out from the other end of the arena, taking a casual walk towards the nearest seat.

He grabbed it, then uprooted the entire thing from the ground up, slamming it twice on the ground.

"But Iritis here told me you were a unique type of Limitless user."

"A unique type?"

White asked, though in the next moment, his head jerked down as the chair appeared instantly before his face.

BOOOOOM!

It collapsed on the wall, sending fragments of iron that all flew back towards White.

Tapping the ground lightly, he jumped high into the air, somersaulting a couple of times, fully exiting the area of attack.

"He said you had a power that belonged to those from the Main Family. The ability to access the two sides of Limitless. The physically enhanced and the psychic, all at the same time."

"So,, a Limitless Awakener can either be physically enhanced or a psychic?"

White asked from the side, finding the man having uprooted about five more chairs before sending them all soaring towards White with a wave of his hands.

Of course, even with the weirdly increased speed of the throw, and the fact that they seemed to be held by some force that dragged their momentum back to him.

His agility was good enough to dodge every last one of them, leaving only a couple of minor cuts.

"Correct. For some, Limitless takes the form of a physical enhancement, boosting their physique."

"In such a case, they’re not psychics, but physically enhanced."

He explained casually.

"But in others, it takes the form of a psychic. Allowing for telekinetic manipulation with the mind, precise control of space, and the projection of weapons from energy."

"It doesn’t increase their physical power, and those are registered psychics."

He explained, and finally, White had it confirmed.

He had always thought about why his way of Limitless was different from Nova’s.

The girl controlled Limitless by being able to draw energy from her heart into her palms and then shape the existing energy into a weapon.

But while White could also draw Limitless from his core to his arms, his Limitless energy never diffuses out of his palm.

Instead, it strengthened his arm.

He couldn’t create a weapon like Nova, but Nova’s physical power also doesn’t seem to increase like his, once she draws Limitless to her arms.

He had also once wondered why he looked more like a physically awakened with Limitless while Nova is more of a psychic, but now he understood.

"And only the main family can bypass that?"

He asked,

"Some of them."

"They’re naturally born with an organ that allows them to use Limitless as a physically awakened source of power, and also a psychic source of power."

He claimed, and in the next moment, White observed as the man paused.

Both of his hands fell by his side, his face turned down at his feet.

Silence descended onto the arena, and White felt an inexplicable chill down his spine.

"What’s he do..."

He hadn’t completed those words when the man finally stirred, raising his face once more.

What White saw next made his breath pause.

He had noticed that the man’s eyes seemed to be a bit different from normal, but right now, it was breathtaking.

His entire eyes had lost the white in them, coming to be replaced by a clearly circular edge that glowed with an intense amount of blue.

It was like looking at the edge of a blue-colored star, awe-inspiring and breathtaking.

"It’s called The Infinity Eyes."

He said, and in the next moment, his right arm quietly raised as he pointed at White.

What came next was every single chair in the arena forcefully snapping out of the ground.

About 300 seats came flying up, and in the next moment, White watched them crack, until only the iron in them remained in the sky.

Then those irons, as if grabbed by an invisible force, suddenly began to scrape each other so much so that the round iron bars were turned into sharp blade-like edges.

More than three hundred of them were floating all around them.

To the attack, White raised his right hand out, preparing to unleash Limitless Collapse and drag them all into one point, but then,

"Easy to predict... as expected."

VROOOOM!

The air flapped as White slammed the back of his hand to the side, but then,

BAANG!

The sharp edge of a hand glowing blue slammed right onto his neck, sending White’s eyes almost rolling to the back of his head as he momentarily lost control of his breath.

BOOOOM!

A kick slammed into his face, blowing him back, but before he could land, a hand quietly appeared before him as the man teleported right onto him, grabbing his neck out of mid-air before throwing him high into the wall.

PUCCCHI!

PUCCCHI!

The sound of iron piercing into skin resounded as two of the floating irons in the air dug into both of White’s wide-opened palms, with such force that they were enough to leave him pinned against the wall.

All of this had happened in exactly three seconds!

The man looked at White, whose eyes were rolling fast in his eye sockets, a sign that showed his brain still struggling to come to terms with what had just happened.

Surprisingly enough, White’s eye roll didn’t last for long, only 7 seconds before his eyes regained the light as he finally came to terms with the current time frame.

"It does allow you to be both a psychic and a physically enhanced."

He said out loud, blood erupting from his mouth as he spoke.

His windpipe had suffered damage from the hand-edge strike to his neck, but that wasn’t new.

"I’m just not sure if you really need Infinity Eyes to do that."

"Activate Limitless Collapse."

"Activate Limitless Interval."
