After making sure they dropped Lena off on her way, they began heading to the warrior’s lobby. It was time for them to go on the raid, after much torment from Lena and Theo. Darius was still not sure what was going to happen when the upgrade was done.

Darius was looking at the screen, and he could see that it was 75% done. He would then have access to new abilities and things he never thought he would be able to do.

’Just a little more time.’ He muttered as he walked with Theo, it was clear that he was going to be getting something from Slav’s scepter, and he was going to be able to use it and face anyone who would try to come for him.

"Not that I should be asking, but I need to know, are you the one painting that on your arm?" Theo was looking at his partner, he was shocked to see that the tattoo on his left arm had grown even bigger than before. It was fun to look at, but then it felt eerie to him, almost like the tattoo was looking at him.

Darius looked at his arm, and he didn’t know what he was going to say. He knew it was still not a good idea to tell Theo everything yet, but then he would keep asking questions since they are going to be handling a guild together.

He turned to look at Theo, a smile on his face. "When the time is right, I will tell you all you need to know about me and whatever is going on in my life."

Theo could feel a warm breeze covering his body, it was almost like he had gotten a reason not to ask him about anything again. He looked front and scratched his head, trying to put together what he was feeling.

"Alright, I will not bother you with the question for now until you are ready." Theo kept walking in front, he was smiling a bit, like there was something about Darius that was sort of soothing to him.

Darius was looking at him, and he could see the look on Theo’s face. He knew his partner had a high level of trust in him, and it was not going to be easy to change that.

’It’s for the best, until I know what I am dealing with, then I would be able to tell you anything you want to know.’ He thought to himself, looking at his hand. He knew there was bound to be more coming, and it was not going to be easy for anyone to handle what he was carrying, at least not anyone normal.

Both warriors finally got to the lobby, and they were a bit early since they could see the other guilds still there waiting for a dungeon.

"You didn’t tell me the guild we would be working with, is it not important?" Darius turned to Theo, and he was looking around, trying to see if he was going to see anyone.

"I don’t know yet, the association told me it was meant to be confidential until we got here." Theo was also looking around, he was trying to see if he would see anyone he would mark as their partner. "The association said something about trying to make sure that we would work together as a team."

"Huh, that sounds odd." Darius blurted out, he was not sure if it was their procedures for the newbies, but then. "Shouldn’t we know who we are going to be working with just in case there are any mishaps?"

Darius was looking at Theo, the look on his face had question marks all over it.

"Affirmative!"

A voice caught the attention of both warriors, they turned to look at what was going on. And they saw Liu and Keith coming in with a file.

"We are sorry for the delay, but we just got the names of the two Solo warriors joining you in this raid." Keith pulled out a paper from the file in his hand.

"That might not be the problem here," Theo spoke up. He was looking at them, trying to see why they were delaying telling them who their raid partners were going to be. "You haven’t told us anything about the other guild and how we are going to be working with them."

Liu paused, looking down, he knew it was not going to be easy to even tell them that they would be working with a guild that had almost killed them a few months ago.

He looked at Darius and Theo, he knew that both warriors had almost lost their patience. "The guild you’re working with is none other than..."

"Well, I never thought I would be paired up with these two again." Another voice came from the entrance, and the voice was oddly familiar to the warriors.

"It can’t be." Theo turned to see who it was once he set eyes on the warriors coming in.

Darius turned to see who it was, setting eyes on the warrior, his rage flared up, and almost immediately, his aura covered the entire room.

"You!" He growled, looking at the warrior coming in.

Standing by the entrance was none other than Nathan Cruz and the Ghastly Ghouls.

He had a nasty smile on his face. Looking at Darius and Theo, he threw his hands in the air. "Come on, guys, don’t act like that, we are brothers in arms here."

Theo turned to Liu and Keith, he was filled with rage. "Isn’t there any way to switch this?"

"No, there is not," Keith responded almost immediately, looking at Theo, he could see that the young warrior was doing everything possible not to be paired up with Nathan and his guild. "These are the Chairman’s orders. All the other mercenary guilds were paired up, and the only ones left were these two."

Theo clenched his fists, he knew nothing was going to help him change it. He turned to look at Darius, and he could feel the amount of restrain the warrior had put on himself not to attack Nathan there and then.

"Why in the world did you pair us up with a rat?!" Darius growled. He was looking at Nathan, and his anger kept skyrocketing.

Nathan had an odd smile on his face when he heard what the warrior had to say. "Ouch, that hurt my feelings. Why in the world would you call me a rat, eh? I never did do anything wrong with you."

Darius had already begun trying to retract his claws to cut down the warrior in front of him. He moved a little bit, but he felt someone pull him back. He turned to see Theo, and a stern look was on his face.

"Darius, we are going to play by the rules. Don’t touch him or even think about it, please." Theo turned to look at Nathan. "But if anything should happen, then we all know it is natural to kill pests."

Nathan smiled. He raised his hand, covering his mouth a bit. "Pest? Wow, I never thought I would hear this from the Sung family reject."

Theo was looking down, he didn’t know what he was going to do about his rage. He wanted to use his spear on Nathan’s neck, but he turned to look at him. Glaring at Nathan, that no one would forget.

"Ohhh, is the Sung family’s reject going to kill me? I am so scared, what am I going to do to avoid this?" Nathan pulled out his spear, it was clear he was taunting Theo.

Theo was looking at him, even though he wanted to use his strongest attack there and then to kill him, he was not going to risk anything. He looked back to see Darius about to lose his cool.

’I have to keep calm so he won’t do anything,’ He thought to himself as he turned back to look at the Ghastly Ghouls. ’We just have to be cautious.’

He turned back to Nathan, calmly clearing his throat, and he spoke up.

"I am going to work with you, for the sake of my growth as a warrior, but I want to say this here in front of everyone who can hear me." Theo walked closer to Nathan, his eyes locked on the man like he was a leopard about to pounce on a gazelle. "If you make the mistake of trying to harm any of us in there, both you and your ghouls will be filled with holes."

Nathan still had a smile on his face, it seemed like he was impressed to see that Theo was actually saying something to him. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"We will have to see about that." He let out a small chuckle, prompting his guild to do the same. They were crazy, and it was clear as day to Keith and Liu. The chairman had just helped draw a battleground.

"I would love to say this to the two guilds. Ghastly Ghouls and Broken Blades, unnecessary fighting isn’t allowed inside the dungeon. To avoid that, alongside the two warriors, we would be sending two of the association’s transponders." Liu spoke up, he was worried that something was going to happen.

"Yes, we can’t have you fighting instead of clearing the dungeon." Keith opened the file. "Now, for the names of the warriors joining you in this raid,"

"SS-ranked healer, Michael Krigg The Third, and SS-ranked elemental type warrior, Raya Tegeshi." He announced.

Darius immediately snapped out of his angry state when he heard the name Tegeshi. "Glasses?"
