Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 154: Limits
Right before he came to the rescue, Darius was standing in the temple. His eyes were blurry, and something made him stand a bit odd.
"This isn’t the first time I’m doing this," His legs were not giving him the strength he was trying to keep his breath in order.
’Your body is giving out, like I told you your body isn’t strong enough to handle the weight you are giving it.’
Azree was trying to warn him about what he was doing to his body, but it was not going to get him to stop straining himself like that knowing that there was something pushing him to do something better.
He was looking out the door, his body giving in to the fact that the strain was making him lose balance and there was nithing he could do about it.
Acier stood behind him, looking at the knight she once fought to kill. The fact that it was almost like a few minutes ago that they were charging attacks strong enough to level kingdoms and they were not in any way going to stop until one of them fell to the ground but now they were just there looking at each other.
Acier walks up to Darius, her steps are calculated and precise.
"You were fighting like you had all the energy to win any other fight after this." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Darius looks up to see his knight coming up to him, the smile on his face was a bit odd.
"So you want to tell me that I look miserable?" He smiled looking at her, but she didnt utter a word. Only looking at him with a calm expression on her face, it was almost like she was at peace looking at him.
"You do know that there is no way I will be able to save you if something happens here." Darius joked, he wasn’t sure what was going on and how it was going to turn out but there was something about the way she was keeping eye contact.
Acier placed her hand over him, and suddenly, what looked like blue dew fell on Darius. It was soothing and calm, nothing was going to be able to bring him that kind of calm energy, and from the looks of things it made things a bit easier for him in a way.
His stamina was coming back to him even better, he could feel something that felt even warmer.
"What is this?"
He was looking at her, trying to see if he would see why she healed him out of the blue.
"You are my master I agree to that, so I am trying to heal the soul that set me free from a cage that held me down for years."
Acier was looking at Darius and she could see the smile on his face, it was not something that she would get from her former lord.
Darius got up looking at Acier, he was at peace knowing that she was not going to hold a grudge against him for killing her like that.
"I know you think that there is something I will hold against you but—"
Before Darius could finish, he felt a surge of dark energy from the outside.
"This isnt something normal," He dashed for the temple door, Acier was right behind him almost like he had ordered her to follow him.
On getting there, Darius could see Vertu about to take off Theo’s head.
Darius dashed for the being, using Ve’xa to block the attack. He moved at speeds beyond all the team could make up for in a while.
Vertu was shocked when his spear was stopped, he didnt expect anyone to be able to stop his spear. He looked up, to see Darius standing there. His white hair flaring up, his crimson and jade aura moving around the place they stood.
"Ahh, child of chaos.... Finally, you show yourself!" He smiled as he increased his power trying to push down the man in front of him, adding power to crush Darius.
"My fans wouldn’t want to crush me, so I would see that you aren’t a fan are ya?!" Darius pushed back, adding more strength to his power, overpowering Vertu with his pure strength showing him that he was different from the others.
Vertu smiled when he saw the powers of the man in front of him, he couldn’t see everything, but he knew that the man in front of him was clearly trouble, and the only way to kill Darius was to make sure that he was going to overpower him.
Both of them stood there, staring at each other waiting for one to make a move so the other would counter.
’You can now use your spells and other powers on him, you were holding back so you wouldn’t wear out your body facing Acier right.’
Azree brought up something Darius had almost forgotten and he was looking at the monster in front of him.
He tightened his grip on Voidweaver, taking one step forward looking at the monster.
Vertu smirked unleashing a barrage of attacks with his spear trying to impale Darius but it was too late when he tried to do something Darius was already above him.
"Imerius Avadia!"
Our young warrior yelled, and a blast of light covered the place they stood in. Vertu let out a shriek, jumping back he knew that the spells that Darius had belonged to the only person who was able to tackle him and his brothers alone like they were toddlers.
"You possess Slav’s abilities!" Vertu grunted as he braced himself to fight, he knew that the fight was something that would be hard but he didnt expect Darius to be something this strong.
"I thought he said that you weren’t going to be able to do anything to us but how on earth are you able to use that power?!"
Darius smirked, his eyes glowing. "You look surprised, I bet you didnt expect to see me using a power like this."
Vertu raised his spear, bringing out something from his side. "I didnt know what to expect from you but there is one thing you need to know about my brothers and me."
Vertu placed the object he brought out of his side into his mouth, looking at Darius. Suddenly his body began reacting, the dark aura was off the charts.
Darius knew it had taken a multiplier to make sure that he would be able to beat him. Holding his two blades close he was looking at the being in front of him.
A smile on his face, as he readied himself for the clash.
"Let’s dance!"
Darius roared as he dashed for Vertu, both of them collided and a brawl broke out with Darius moving on the defence.
Vertu was fast, tentacles coming out of his back piercing Darius’s side trying to push down our warrior.
Darius moved fast and slippering, he was not letting Vertu land a blow.
But when he tried to move out of the way, Vertu used a spell to move them to another location.
"You know."
Vertu sounded happy, almost like he had trapped Darius. "I am not going to let you win me like you did with my brother."
"Nah, don’t mark yourself with him." Darius scoffed, looking up he could see that something was going to happen if he was not going to be careful with the beast but he was ready for anything off the charts.
"He put up much of a fight, so I don’t think you are going to be able to do the same."
Vertu in rage hearing what Darius said bolted for the warrior, trying to cut him down but Darius had baited him to move closer so he would evade the attack.
He sent two powerful slashes for Vertu, he was trying to see if he would be able to push the monster back.
Voidweaver and Ve’xa in his hand, he could see that the healing Acier had done on him was the only reason it looked like he could keep up with the monster in front of him.
’I don’t have much time before my body wears out,’ Darius thought to himself, knowing that he had been fighting for the past few hours.
’You have about a few hours to end this fight, if you don’t end it soon then your body will break down. The powers you are carrying within you are still trying to settle down and—’
Vertu didnt let Darius finish listening to what Azree was trying to tell him. He dodged the spear, and it injured him on the nose but the cut wasn’t enough for Darius to stop fighting.
"Ve’xa, Scatter and devour!" He swung his sword, trying to see if he would cut down Vertu.
Vertu blocked Ve’xa with his spear, looking at Darius with a smile on his face.
"You think your blade could hit me?" He jeered, pushing Ve’xa back with all his strength. "I am not like Deliri and you will learn that!"
Before Vertu could notice what was going on, the blade sent a ripple, hitting him across the face with a powerful slash strong enough to kill anyone.
"Oh, you didnt notice that Ve’xa was alive?" Darius smiled, he got up looking at the being in front of him. Suddenly he had a sharp pain in his chest, gripping his chest he was looking at Vertu and his vision was a bit blurry, his hands shaking as he tried to pace his breathing.
Something was off.
