Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 116: Final Clash Part 5: Meeting the first son
[Mana Core Found!]
[Harvesting The Being’s Core!]
[Warning! Corrupted Mana will cut down the host’s mana by half!]
Darius didn’t care what the system told him; he had plans to make Deliri a thing of the past.
His hands deep in the beast’s chest, he held the core and began pulling it out.
Once he felt the core, something else pulled him in. It wasn’t Deliri fighting back, but there was something pulling him into the core.
Darius fought back, but then he felt a chilly, eerie presence around him. He turned to look around and he could see that he was in the abyss or at least his subconscious was in there.
"Ah shit, what now?" He muttered as he looked around. He didn’t see anything but pitch darkness.
"So...Deliri has fallen." An eerie voice spoke up from the distance.
Darius turned to see a being hovering a bit far from him, beside this being was a sword. It was longer than Pryion’s sword and from what he could see shadows were coming out of his body.
"Urus..."
Darius smiled as he was looking at the being, he knew what he was and why he was there.
"You seem to be familiar with me already child," Urus spoke rather slowly, tilting his head as he looked at Darius.
"You don’t look like the type of being that should have been able to hurt Deliri, so I wonder how he was so stupid to lose to you."
"Pfft"
Darius rolled his eyes, he could feel the same level of arrogance Deliri had coming from Urus.
"All you divine wahoos are the same, no matter where you are."
Our young warrior looked at the being, he wasn’t sure if he had the ability to even go close to it.
"So I want to ask you something Urus," He smiled, slowly pointing to the being in front of him.
"When do I get to rip you apart?"
Urus was still looking at Darius, his face had not been shown since they met each other.
A slight chuckle came from the being, looking at Darius he was amused that the man in front of him was the one who brought down his brought down his brother.
"I don’t know what you think you are..."
Urus slowly moved closer to Darius, our young warrior felt the space where he stood in beginning to warp to his presence.
"I don’t know why you think that there is something you can even think of doing to hurt me."
Darius felt his entire body system go haywire almost like there was a plague coming close to him.
"I am the first son of the Abyss, the first miscalculation of the Verith Empire and I am the known as the never ending plague of the abyss."
Urus’s presence was enough to turn everything around; for Darius, it felt like he was being suffocated.
Darius looked at the being in front of him, and all he could see were the ominous shadows coming from his body.
"You had such a big mouth, so I wonder why you aren’t talking anymore?"
Urus was looking at Darius, out young warrior was fighting back to make sure that the pressure wouldn’t kill him but then.
He looked at the beast in front of him, indeed he was afraid and was worried that a single mistake would give the beast a chance to kill him.
But Darius wasn’t going to let something like that haunt him.
"I stopped talking because I wanted to see what ugly face lies behind all that shadow, so what is it, Urus?"
Darius looked up, the smile on his face painted with a huge amount of pride.
"Are you scared that I will kill you the way I killed Deliri?"
Urus snarled, raising his hand, he was about to hit Darius when our young warrior vanished from the abyss.
Going back to the forest, where he looked around and he could see that in his hand was Deliri’s core.
Looking around to see that it was only in his subconscious, but the chilling feeling Urus gave him was still lingering in his soul.
"There is no doubt about it," Darius said, looking at his hand, and he could see that it was still shaking.
"Urus is definitely the type of threat I should be wary of."
He turned to his left hand, and he could see the core in it. A smile of relief appeared, even though he had been face to face with a being that would absolutely kill him, at least he had done one thing.
’So I took this bastard down?’ He staggered as he managed to get up from the floor.
’Don’t absorb that, your body isn’t strong enough to withstand that kind of power.’
Azree warned, it was clear that Darius would think absorbing Deliri’s core and it wasn’t the best thing for him to do.
Darius rolled his eyes, he didn’t know what was going to happen if he had thought of absorbing it.
"So what should I do with it?"
Our young warrior was looking at the core, slowly looking around as he spotted Ve’xa.
"Wait a minute..."
He walked to the sword, picking it up, he placed the core on the blade.
"Ve’xa.." Darius called out, his focus was on the blade.
Suddenly out of the blue, Ve’xa began shaking. A smile appeared on Darius’s face.
"Devour.."
Ve’xa began shaking rapidly as it absorbed the essence from the core, it seemed odd the way a divine Blade could do that.
[Ve’xa has absorbed the Core of the Fourth son of the Abyss- Blade has unlocked abilities!]
[Gluttony unlocked!]
[Counter Strike unlocked!]
[Slash Nullification unlocked!]
[Berserk Blade unlocked!]
"Woah," Darius was looking at the sword, he didn’t know if it was a sword or just another divine being waiting for trouble.
’I wonder how strong this sword will get in the long run.’ He smiled admiring Ve’xa.
’Maybe strong enough to slash through a mountain.’
’Divine blades are as strong as you make them, so unless you get strong enough to level things like that then don’t hope on it..’
Azree quipped in.
Darius was still looking at the sword when he felt an absurd amount of mana clashing together.
He looked up to see what it was, and almost immediately his eyes picked up the other warriors facing two powerful Orcs.
Darius cracked his neck as he took a stance, his were glowing bright red.
"So, I still have some juice in me!"
Darius said as he took off like a missile, aiming for the Orcs.
