The five afterimages of the light struck the dragon at such speed it looked like it happened at once. The five explosions of light followed and briefly turned the world white.

The pain seared all around the dragon's body as the fragments of his armor fell down.

However, finally, the last magic symbol lit up, and the dragon vanished, leaving behind only fire as he reappeared far in the sky of black smoke. His armor molded into molten metal while his scales regained lustre as they regenerated.

'So that is how it is. In that case, I will strike with even more energy.'

The streaks of light flashed again around the dragon, with the lightning storm of pure white heavenly lightning clashing with the blue and gold lightning.

The light flashed all over the black clouds, making it impossible to pinpoint its position.

With all his limits gone, all seven horns crowning his head lit up as the divine energy and mana surged through his veins and domain. He felt every single grain of stone and every single droplet of magma.

"Come and feel my power on your own skin." He could hardly contain his craving for slaughter. He wanted to tear that angel and pluck its lightning feather from its wings.

The dragon stilled his breath and closed his eyes as his ears sprang to their full. He felt the vibrations quickly close.

The angel's claws descended upon him again, making him already feel the holy power before they could even touch.

Mana and a single droplet of his divine energy flowed through his body and into his still regenerating armor. The air and mana froze, creating a new armour soaked with divine energy and enveloped by the barrier.

The impacts struck him again and then again. His body moved without him needing to think as his tail and claws swept around as if trying to swat away a fly.

The angels swished around with such a speed it looked to Vesuvius like he was fighting against multiple of them.

The barrier and armor regenerated over and over upon each strike, but he didn't care as his mind focused on a different task.

At once, the entire area around him, all the way to the edge of his domain, came to life with thousands of magic letters forming one by one. They just levitated everywhere, suspended there like glowing snowflakes frozen in time.

The mana surged like a river, sucking and controlling everything in its path.

The light flashed again, and the claws cut through his wings, severing them off his body. He lost his height and spiralled toward the bubbling magma like a fallen leaf. However, he didn't care as his mind hurt with all the magic forming around him.

His eyes shone with mana and madness, 'Just wait, I will show you what I can do.'

The next moment, he crashed into the burning sea and rose a giant tsunami upon the impact.

"Burn and freeze, angel!" His mana at once surged out in a tsunami, and all the magic circuits floating in the air multiplied.

The angel above him flapped its sixteen wings, and light flashed even brighter as they turned into a living missile of light, descending upon the dragon.

In the blink of an eye, it blasted straight into the dragon's horns.

They shattered as if made of glass as the angel's long claws of light cut through them, and pain akin to having his bones crushed almost blinded him. A fury awoke within him, "You little piece of feathered garbage!"

'Still, you have fallen for it, and now you are going to die for it.'

The circuits everywhere didn't collapse; instead, they flashed one last time, and the next instant, the world shattered. Please visit f𝗿e𝙚𝙬ℯ𝚋n𝚘ν𝗲l. 𝐜𝐨𝗺

"Now!" He could still feel the angel nearby, even though it was quickly getting further and further with each fraction of the second that passed, maybe feeling the upcoming danger.

The black and purple sphere of fire, with surges of golden and red energy pulsing through it, expanded and devoured the dragon within it.

The vacuum surged and rushed in as everything disintegrated and vanished under the power of the cursed, radioactive frost fire charged with divine energy.

It didn't stop as it kept burning for seconds and then even more seconds. All the mana was vanishing from the dragon's body to supply the countless spells; even his domain and divine kingdom failed to supply it.

Just as he wanted to finally sight in relief, the angel's voice echoed once more.

"Mercy on me!"

'What?!'

"No!"

The orb of the frost fire kept burning in silence as there were no further words.

'What was that? Did they truly resurrect? How? Mercy? To mercy yourself from death? What kind of nonsensical power was that.'

Finally, the dragon stopped the stream of mana, and the flames extinguished.

Everything around him was in chaos. Something remained perfectly intact while other parts of the stone disintegrated into particles and atoms.

'I have underestimated you, angel.' Vesuvius struck the angel with arrogance, fitting a dragon. He felt confident after fighting the seraph, but now he felt like this cherub was much stronger.

'Well, even between true dragons there were large differences in power. At the same time, that seraph was only a remnant. No, this cherub was just strong... they even crushed the demons sent by Satanael.'

At least he tried his new power. His domain now acted like his body, meaning he could cast his elemental cloak over everything within it.

He cast it everywhere, on the air molecules, pieces of stone, and even the magma lake.

He turned everything into an incendiary bomb, just waiting to detonate.

'Controlling so many spells would be madness, but I didn't have to.' His autonomous circuits were universal. Once cast, he no longer needed to care.

The tired dragon remained sprawled amidst the returning sea of magma. His armor slowly knitted itself back, but every cell of his body screamed in pain, seared by the impossible rivers of mana that wreaked havoc in him.

'Such a wrong assumption to think shattering my horns would stop my spell.'

With a single thought, a portion of his magic transformed into vitality while mana fueled up the nanites in him. Instantly his recovery speeded up rapidly, making him feel the comfortable heat.
