Kung Fu Baby with 17 Doting Brothers-Chapter 502: Brother and Sister
Tuanzi had heard several uncles and aunts mention Little Aunt Gu Jin.
Gu Jin is the youngest child of the Gu Family, and the only daughter, cherished by Mr. Gu and his wife like precious gems back then. Her brothers treated her exceptionally well too. Only Gu Jin’s suitors were unfortunate.
The parents and brothers only wanted someone who would be devoted to their daughter/sister, not requiring Gu Jin to have a life of luxury, even if it was simple, as long as she was happy, but Gu Jin fell in love with a detective.
Si Huai’s father was perfect in every way, except his profession was too dangerous. Mr. Gu admired this kind of young man but couldn’t rest easy entrusting his daughter to him.
Busy with work, he might neglect his family, and pursuing criminals outside could be perilous, possibly leading to retaliation against the family.
However, Gu Jin only had eyes for this one person, and he showed enough sincerity.
Mr. Gu nearly had a falling out with his daughter, but eventually couldn’t resist her request and agreed to the marriage. Unfortunately, his worries came true, and he, the white-haired elder, had to bury his black-haired son-in-law.
Because of this, when his grandson Si Huai wanted to apply to the police academy, Mr. Gu strongly opposed it, nearly altering Si Huai’s dream. Mr. Gu couldn’t bear to send off another black-haired person.
That attempt to change his ambition also left the father-daughter relationship a bit strained for a year or two.
Later, all conflicts dissipated in the face of life and death separations.
Tuanzi greatly admired this Little Aunt. Her husband sacrificed himself, yet she managed to support her son’s decision to apply to the police academy, and even supported him inheriting his father’s badge upon graduation.
However, she also understood Grandpa’s worries.
Just like sometimes when she displayed chivalry, her eldest brother worried about her too, fearing she’d face off against firearms, hoping she’d attack from afar as much as possible.
She learned one thing from this, which was always to protect herself first before rescuing others, to avoid making her family sad.
Cuddling up to Si Huai, Tuanzi eagerly asked, "Will Little Aunt stay in Jiang City for long this time? She said she’d come back for the New Year before, but didn’t."
Gu Jin is a skiing instructor, very busy, often leading teams in competitions.
She had planned to come back for the New Year to see her son, brothers, sisters-in-law, and returning nieces, but despite buying tickets, something changed, forcing her to remain abroad.
When she finally returned to the country, she was caught up in closed training with her team, occasionally getting half-day breaks, but those were never enough to come to Jiang City and reunite with family.
Tuanzi had been back for a year, yet hadn’t met this Little Aunt.
She glanced at Si Huai’s handsome profile, thinking this cousin looked like Gu Qize, proving Little Aunt and Little Uncle might resemble each other, only one gentler and the other more chiseled.
Conclusion, Little Aunt was a beauty!
"She should stay for a few days?"
Si Huai was also unsure; he and Gu Jin always met infrequently, as both mother and son had their respective careers, occasionally keeping in touch.
Tuanzi volunteered: "Then let’s invite Little Aunt to Miaomiao’s house for dinner; Miaomiao can prepare a feast with the senior brothers, Miaomiao’s cooking is great!" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Si Huai thought about it, "I’m off tomorrow too, so I’ll come over to help."
Rather than going out for dinner, he’d rather reunite with family and have some homely dishes. The menu didn’t matter; reunion was the hardest to come by.
"Sounds great, Miaomiao will prepare a menu."
Tuanzi was excited.
However, plans never keep up with changes.
Gu Rui and Gu Zheng knew their sister was coming back and decided to excitedly prepare the cooking themselves, directly making up a menu, even messaged Gu Yu, teasing him to the point he might rush back to Jiang City.

Mu Xue handed some washed cherries to her mouth, her demeanor calm, temperament cold like her son Gu Wangchao, but her tone was gentle, "Isn’t it better to sit and wait to eat? Let them busy themselves."
Tuanzi opened her mouth and took a big bite of the cherry.
The sweetness exploded on her tongue.
"Wow, delicious!"
Tuanzi’s eyes lit up, instantly forgetting the previous displeasure.
Mu Xue pushed the glass bowl toward her, "It’s all yours, don’t eat too quickly, remember to spit out the pits."
Tuanzi performed mechanical eating on the spot.
Eat, eat, eat, spit, spit, spit.
If she weren’t indoors, she could even show off by spitting pits over ten meters away.
Mu Xue sighed, pinching her chubby cheeks.
"You eat too well, if only Pei Hai and Wangchao could learn from you."
She always felt her two sons were too thin. Her older son was an actor, and occasionally dieting or gaining weight for roles was understandable, but why didn’t her younger son love eating?
Hua Wenyi laughed as he pushed the honey cake over.
"It doesn’t matter if you’re fat or thin, as long as you’re healthy."
Mu Xue nodded, "That’s true."
She picked up a small piece of cake, habitually handing it over to Tuanzi.
Upon seeing the cake, Tuanzi immediately abandoned the cherries, clutching the cake with small bites.
"Wow, it’s fluffy like clouds and sweet too."
She munched, eyes gazing outside at the blue sky and white clouds, and couldn’t help fantasizing.
"If only clouds in the sky could turn into cotton candy."
[Ancient Martial System: Then you could fly up and eat cotton candy?]
[Miaomiao: Hehe]
The next day.
Si Huai couldn’t find his cousin, and after Duan Xiayou’s reminder, he came next door and was welcomed in by Mu Xue and Hua Wenyi.
Upon entering, he saw his little sister stuffing her face on the sofa, despite previously saying she’d draft a menu.
The table before her was full of fruits and snacks, many of which were made by Mu Xue and Hua Wenyi themselves.
"Cousin, you’re here," Tuanzi greeted him with difficulty, fitting her mouth between bites, "Quick, eat, eat, it’s very delicious."
Si Huai sat down somewhat awkwardly.
Among peers, he was composed, but in front of elders, he felt a bit restrained, especially as he wasn’t familiar with these particular elders either.
At this moment, voices came from the kitchen.
"Oh dear, why are you so clumsy? Can’t even peel a potato?"
It was his second uncle’s voice.
Si Huai glanced around, guessing that Second Uncle and Third Uncle were cooking in the kitchen. But he heard Third Uncle was good at cooking, so who could be receiving complaints?
"Little Uncle is being scolded."
Tuanzi peeled an orange, shifted to Si Huai’s side, and shared half with him, gleefully saying, "Little Uncle can’t even peel a potato, haha, clumsy."
Si Huai wasn’t comfortable mocking, he thought for a while and defended Little Uncle, "Maybe he’s better at running a company."
Tuanzi pouted.
"Qize can also run a company, but his instant noodles are tasty."
Si Huai doubted he’d heard correctly, "Instant noodles?"
"Yes," Tuanzi stuffed the orange wholly into her mouth, mumbling, "Anyway, Qize is better than his dad."
She preferred Qize!
Si Huai was silent. He sensed his sister had quite a thick filter when it came to her brothers!
In less than a few minutes, Tuanzi couldn’t sit still, secretly climbed off the sofa, and sneakily ran to the kitchen doorway to peek, finding Gu Yu had been sent to wash vegetables again.
He rarely did this type of work, and washed them carefully but not cleanly, earning a reprimand from Gu Zheng, who wore a stern expression.
"Slow and not clean enough!"
"Pfft."
Tuanzi snickered, took out her phone to record a video, and shared it with Gu Qize and Gu Yunmu.
Gu Qize was busy working, didn’t reply, but Gu Yunmu responded quickly.
[Haha, even Dad has moments like these]
[Are you having a gathering? I’m coming over, I’m in the next city!]
