Seeing the faint light flickering in Colt's eyes, Vegapunk felt a chill run down his spine.

When Colt had first arrived at Egghead Island two years ago, he had effortlessly incapacitated the mechanical Sea Kings Vegapunk had stationed around the island with a single gesture.

What surprised Vegapunk the most was Colt's sheer mystery surrounding him.

Not only did he control the CP organization, but he also had Marine Admirals under his command.

When Vegapunk had tried to call Kizaru for help, the Admiral had immediately hung up.

Even more alarming was Colt's knowledge of Vegapunk's secret connection with Dragon.

After some "friendly" negotiations, Vegapunk had no choice but to agree to cooperate with Colt.

But it wasn't all bad.

At least the two scientists Colt had left behind—Orochimaru and Kabuto—were excellent assistants.

Although their research focus differed from Vegapunk's, their expertise far surpassed that of Caesar and Queen.

The only headache was that Vegapunk now had to juggle the World Government's demands while also completing Colt's tasks, leaving him with even less time to rest.

"Kamiyo-san, did you bring me money for research?"

Vegapunk didn't answer Colt's question directly but instead posed one of his own.

"Don't tell me you've already burned through all the gold I gave you the last time?" Colt's tone was less than friendly.

Nearly half of the gold he had obtained from Skypiea had been handed over to Vegapunk.

And now, just two years later, the scientist was asking for more money.

Who could afford to fund such a gold-devouring monster?

Not to mention the funds Vegapunk already received from the World Government.

It was outrageous.

Hearing this, Vegapunk's face flushed slightly.

"You know how expensive scientific research can be. The money wasn't just spent by me. Orochimaru and Kabuto also needed funds..."

"The research they've done was all based on your orders!"

Colt stared at the old man for a long time, making Vegapunk increasingly uncomfortable, before finally speaking in a calm tone.

"Then show me what you've accomplished over the past few years"

"If I'm not satisfied, I'll cut off all your funding and leave you with nothing."

Vegapunk nodded quickly, signaling his clones to fetch the results, while Orochimaru smirked confidently.

"The research on the 'Resurrection White Zetsu' has made significant progress. According to my calculations and Kabuto's, each White Zetsu can continuously revive someone six times."

"If one person is resurrected every month, then within half a year..."

The 'Resurrection White Zetsu', as the name suggested, were specially prepared for the [Rinne Tensei] technique.

So far, aside from those resurrected during the Ninja World War, all other resurrections had been performed by Colt using his immense vitality and eyes power.

This forbidden technique, which reversed life and death, still took a toll on Colt.

Each use required him to rest for a few days afterward.

So, if possible, he preferred to avoid using it.

The Resurrection White Zetsu were his planned replacement. These White Zetsu needed only two key traits:

First, immense vitality.

Second, the Rinnegan.

The first wasn't too difficult.

The White Zetsu, created from the cells of the God Tree, possessed extraordinary vitality. The main challenge was stabilizing the God Tree cells to prevent the White Zetsu from becoming unstable.

The second point, however, was extremely challenging.

The Rinnegan's power was immense, and its most critical aspect was its connection to the Six Paths, allowing it to manifest the intangible and create life from nothing.

With Orochimaru's genetic expertise and cloning skills, combined with Vegapunk's technology, they had managed to clone the Mangekyō Sharingan (thanks to Fugaku's blood samples).

However, these cloned Mangekyō were one-time use. Once their ocular power was depleted, they couldn't be replenished, let alone evolve into the Rinnegan.

In desperation, Colt had to infuse his own Six Paths power to catalyze the creation of inferior Rinnegan.

But now, hearing that a single pair of Rinnegan could revive up to six people, Colt was quite satisfied.

"Not bad. Hand over all the inventory. I've got a lot of people waiting to be revived."

"Except for one experimental subject, there are only three completed units..."

Orochimaru's expression twisted in pain, but he reluctantly handed over a scroll, adding,

"Don't discard the bodies after use. They're still valuable for research."

His life was still in Colt's hands.

To continue his research and achieve immortality, Orochimaru had no choice but to work for Colt.

"Got it. I'll return them when I'm done," Colt said dismissively, already thinking about who to revive first.

Well, on the Uchiha side, Madara's younger brother Izuna should be revived. And while Tsunade hadn't said it outright, she probably wanted to revive Nawaki.

As for the last spot...

Ah, right. Kakashi.

He had promised that if Hatake Sakumo were revived, he'd make Kakashi listen to him.

Colt assigned the final spot to Hatake Sakumo—not to mess with Kakashi, but simply to fulfill the promise.

Meanwhile, Vegapunk's clone returned with another of Colt's requested items.

"This is a Tag-making machine. As long as you input chakra, it can automatically produce explosive tags."

Colt examined the machine, which resembled an automatic ticket dispenser, and tested it by injecting a standard C-rank ninjutsu's worth of chakra.

The machine whirred to life, and soon, an explosive tag emerged from the output slot.

"As long as you replenish the materials regularly, each machine can produce around 100,000 tags before it needs to be replaced," Vegapunk explained matter-of-factly.

"Not bad. This will make explosive tags much more accessible," Colt said, pleased with the machine's efficiency.

Explosive tags might seem simple, but for ordinary ninjas, they were often more practical than complex ninjutsu.

After storing the machine, Colt turned his attention to the towering figure behind Vegapunk's clone.

"Which generation of Pacifista is this?"

Vegapunk puffed up with pride. "This is the PX-3, my latest mass-produced masterpiece. Each Pacifista is powerful enough to rival a Marine Vice Admiral."

"Only Vice Admiral level? What's there to be proud of? It's still far from impressive," Colt scoffed, causing the old man to glare indignantly.
