King's Rule: Creating the Strongest Kingdom With My Broken Talent-Chapter 14: Elements, Imminent Threat
The sun was about to rise, but Vesh and the gang didn’t sleep at all.
Vesh spent several hours completing the SSS-difficulty King’s Rule to elevate his Mana control, and then switched to increasing his Earth Mastery to C-rank.
His potential had reached the maximum of D-rank, and Vesh had once again found himself on the cliff with Earth all around.
’What will I face this time?’
Vesh looked on with anticipation as the ground cracked.
’Eh?’
The ground cracked three times wider than it had cracked when the Earth Crust Beast emerged.
CRACK! BLAST!
What came out was a giant lizard-like creature, but made entirely of Earth. It had two square-patterned tails and a sophisticated, scaled exoskeleton!
[Geo-Rumble Lizard]
[Rank: C | Sprout Force: 2000]
’Sprout Force? Is it for the lifeform after Seed?’ Vesh was surprised.
HISSS!
The lizard hissed at him, and instantly, ten shards of Earth materialised and shot at him.
Vesh didn’t even think or blink.
He just disappeared, ending the King’s Rule as per the rules he made about a threat to his life.
’Yeah, I doubt my attack would have even scratched it.’ Vesh rubbed his chin. ’So what other ways do I have to elevate my Earth Mastery to C-rank?’
[Do you wish for this question to be answered and consume 1 question of the day?]
’Yes.’
[You can find a C-rank Earth elemental resource and use it as a catalyst to elevate your Earth Mastery to C-rank. The success rate depends on multiple volatile factors, mainly concerning the person using the resource.]
’Alright.’
Vesh cracked his neck and made another rule.
’Time to become an avatar.’ Grinning, he used King’s Rule.
[King’s Rule. I train and acquire D-rank Mastery of Light, Darkness, Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Wood.]
Within five seconds, he entered the focused state, shifting into the alternative reality and killing the D-rank Monsters to turn them into catalysts for talents.
Half an hour later, eight different elemental orbs were floating around him.
Light, Darkness, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Wood!
Although all of them were at D-rank, with his King’s Rule, he could cook something very good.
"Wait....what if I can do something like..." Vesh mumbled as his eyes began shining due to a superb idea.
’King’s Rule. I create a magical array of elements inside my life nexus using Mana according to the idea I have.’
[King’s Rule Created.]
[Difficulty: Undefined/Volatile]
’Very well.’ Vesh grinned. ’Let’s start.’
...
As the sun slowly rose, people began waking up and started working.
Woodcutting Axe and Pickaxe began changing hands every hour as Wood Blocks and Stone Blocks began gathering.
Two Sawmills and Two Grinders soon started as Planks and Bricks churned out.
All the stock was gone as Vesh built a lot of things yesterday, so today was a fresh start to gather the materials to further develop the territoryThe tailoringng shop had two people, both young, and they were doing good work. So far, they had only made normal clothes, easy to make using normal animals’ hides instead of using D-rank beasts’ hides.
Arga, Rovina, Kayan, and Viana didn’t learn Arcane Cultivation yet, but they were making progress.
However, they also stopped training as the sun rose to do some important jobs.
Kayan went to scout with Rovina to search for anything useful in the surroundings and on the mountain. Kayan wore the newly acquired D-rank armour set for more safety and power. The armour set provided defence to the body, and collectively, the set also provided one magic effect with one hour cooldown called Mana Refill, which collects Mana from the surroundings to refill the user’s Mana.
Arga stayed in charge of the territory and was also working on preparing food, as the territory had sufficient meat and veggies for now.
Viana wanted to help, but she had lower Seed Force, and she was tired with dark circles visible around her eyes because she was held captive with no proper sleep or food, and had been awake since yesterday after getting rescued, so Arga told her to sleep in the Cottage House inside the cavern.
Time passed, and nothing strange happened.
Kayan and Rovina returned after six hours of proper exploration. They also found two D-rank resources.
One had 2700 Seed Force, and the other had 3200 Seed Force.
Vesh’s Seed Force had already reached 3.3k, so these resources were useless to him. The others would also soon use Arcane Cultivation, so the resources were best saved for Kaeli the cat who also had quite high-ranking talents.
"He is still training?" Kayan blinked as he saw Vesh was in the same position as he had seen before leaving five hours ago—crossed-legged, and not a spec of Mana around him.
"Whatever he is doing, he is doing it inside his Life Nexus, it seems." Rovina smiled. "I have a feeling he is going to come up with something startling."
...
On the other hand, it was this morning that the person who had imprisoned Viana returned to the cavern to bring her to the ritual, but to his shock, she was gone.
It was a man looking in his thirties with a thin beard and back hair. His figure was thin, but muscled, and almost six feet tall, wearing a dark green hood, trousers, and ranger-style upper wear with a vest.
Looking at the clean cut on the bars, his eyes narrowed. "Who is this saint that decided to forfeit their life by butting in other people’s business?"
Leaving the cavern, he followed the trail and carefully observed.
There was no magic residue. Even if there was, it was long gone, given that she seemed to have escaped yesterday during the day.
’Trails are getting confusing. It seems deliberate.’ The man frowned as he observed the ground and surroundings properly.
Shaking his head, he waved his hand, causing a cloud to form before he landed on it and flew towards the north.
’Fortunately, her family had placed a tracker in her, but I have to return and bring the tracker stone. This will waste a day, but it’s better than blindly finding her.’
A cold glint flickered in his eyes. ’You will not escape the slaughter, little lamb.’
A powerful aura surged out of him, scaring the monsters who sensed him.
Even a D-rank Violent Thunder Lion with over 9k Seed Force tried to hide itself upon seeing him flying over.
