King of Titans and Dragons-Chapter 41 - Academic Overlord Dragon
Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Academic Overlord Dragon
Chapter 41 -41: Academic Overlord Dragon
“White Dragon, Clodia.”
As Muria uttered this name, all the dragons in the field turned their attention towards a slender and petite white dragon, which was also a baby dragon with a big head and a small body.
This white dragon was distinctly different from the others. As it sat low, it gave off an intellectual elegance, causing the white dragons by its side to subconsciously see themselves inferior and gather around her, as if she was their leader.
Hearing Muria called her name, White Dragon Clodia stood up, advanced towards Muria on all fours in a calm and composed manner, her eyes filled with confidence.
“Damn, despite being the disgrace of the Dragon Race, how is it that she possesses such excellent magical talents?”
“Hey, do you think Clodia learned many more spells this time, and how many rewards she would get from Muria?”
“Who knows, she is a different species of dragon, and every time she gets more rewards than what ten other dragons could get combined.”
“I really question whether Clodia is a White Dragon, she’s just like a Silver Dragon wrapped in a White Dragon’s skin.”
“You have such a suspicion too, huh? So do I, I even suspect that maybe one of her parents is a Crystal Dragon. There’s no way a White Dragon could be so outlandishly powerful!”
…
As the baby white dragon, Clodia, leaves her spot, the other dragons let out a breath as if they had been released from some invisible shackles, and start whispering among themselves, sharing their opinions.
“Clodia, show us the spells you have learned!” Unlike other dragons, Muria looked at Little White Dragon with a faint smile. She didn’t specify which kind of magic she was to perform, because there is no need to.
As the baby dragons speculated, Clodia was a different species of dragon. Unlike the others who studied magic only for the crystals, Clodia studied magic for the sake of magic itself. She possessed a strong interest and was inherently a spell-casting dragon.
“Strength of the Bull!” “Cat’s Grace!” “Brilliance of the Eagle!” “Cunning of the Fox!” “Insight of the Owl!”
In just a brief moment, Clodia had concurrently cast five second-circle transformation spells. The dazzling magic spirit light was almost blinding for the baby dragons watching her.
“Almost instant… Five spells.” Muria watched the small white dragon in front of her with some surprise, and a feeling of inability rose in her heart. This dragon was just two years old, and her strength was only at the Bronze Three Level.
What was key was that her Bronze Three Level of strength was attained by her endless meditation day and night. While Clodia was born with only Bronze Two Level of power, she worked harder and more diligently than any other dragon.

White Dragon Clodia is the perfect example of the saying ‘Hard work pays off’.
“Is there more?” Muria looked at her with a hint of anticipation. Clodia had long learned all the second-circle spells she could, and she was already proficient in these five transformation spells. What Little White Dragon showed Muria now was her ability to cast spells.
Hearing Muria’s words, Clodia didn’t say a word, she removed the effects of the five transformation spells on her body. Then, she started chanting a spell and a cold wind began to blow across the training ground with Clodia’s voice…
Hundreds of soccer-ball-sized hailstones formed and spun in the air with Clodia’s incantation. Then, Little White Dragon Clodia raised her claws, pointed at a bear-shaped wooden target, and the hailstones turned into dozens of white rainbows shooting straight at the wooden target.
“Click!” Sixteen continuous impacts of the hailstones instantaneously turned the five-meter-tall bear-shaped wooden target into a pile of frost-covered debris. The remaining hailstones flew straight out, hitting other wooden targets and covering their surfaces with frost.
“Third-Ring Magic, hail spell.” Muria took a deep breath. Bronze-level can only cast first and second circle spells. Only Silver Rank could cast third-circle spells.
“Skipping a tier to cast a spell.” The many baby dragons on the training grounds cast their envious, jealous, and admiring gazes at Clodia. Because they are also studying magic, they understand what Clodia’s actions imply.
Muria looked at the White Dragon Clodia with a complex gaze. Regardless of which world, there are always some beings whose abilities are far superior to their own kind. More than that, they are more diligent than their own kind. As a result, they achieve extraordinary results.
“A third-ring magic spell carries a reward of forty crystals, however, if a bronze-level dragon can perform a third-ring spell, the reward is multiplied by ten. Added to that, an almost instantaneous cast of five second-circle spells results in a reward of one hundred crystals.”
Muria announced loudly the rewards he intended to give to Clodia, which stirred up almost all the baby dragons. The reward of five hundred crystals was a wealth they could hardly imagine, given that they were newly hatched.
The hatchlings looked at Clodia with heated gazes, wishing they could be the ones receiving rewards from Muria. Clodia was well aware of the jealous eyes fixed on her, some of which were ill-intentioned. But she didn’t care, because in this Dragon Fortress, Muria was the absolute ruler, and right now this ruler favored her over others.
“Muria, could I exchange my reward for something else?” Clodia suddenly spoke up as Muria began to take out crystals for her.
“What would you like to exchange it for?” Muria asked with excellent grace. He genuinely respected and liked these academically gifted dragons. He prided himself on working as hard as Clodia did.
Perhaps Clodia’s talent was a bit superior to the average white dragon, but Muria believed that Clodia’s present achievements and strength were obtained from relentless practice of magic spells in her spare time. There is no gain without effort.
“I want magic crystals.” the young white dragon looked up at Muria nervously. Clodia was more intelligent than the other hatchlings. She knew that Muria rewarded them with crystals because he considered them to be of no value, and treated them as a waste product.
But magic crystals were different. These elemental crystalline structures had universal value throughout the world, far more valuable than gold and silver, and practically never depreciated.
“Okay.” To Clodia’s surprise, after a brief moment of thought, Muria agreed without anger or irritation. He seemed more generous than she had anticipated.
“However, the reward cannot be five hundred crystals if you exchange it for magic crystals.” Muria told Clodia: “Ten crystals for one magic crystal. The reward for this challenge will be fifty elemental crystals. Is that acceptable?”
“Yes, yes!” The little white dragon squinted with joy and nodded. This amount exceeded her expectations.
Then, in front of all the hatchlings, the little white dragon put the azure spirit light shining magic crystal into her storage space, ignoring all the envious glances around her.
…..In this way, Muria did not let the dragons he raised mimic the behavior of the typical dragons in Elasia, sleeping and eating every day. He carefully planned their daily routine and assigned learning tasks according to their individual abilities.
For dragons that adhered to his rules and completed tasks on time, not only would he reward them generously with crystals, but he would also allow them to make additional requests. However, most of the hatchlings with the privilege of making requests wanted to see the legendary White Jade Divine Palace.
Indeed, the White Jade Divine Palace is legendary to the hatchlings raised inside the Dragon Fortress. The palace is said to be filled with bricks of gold, shingles of silver, adorned with crystals and jewels, and every room is filled with treasures beyond the imagination of any dragon.
The legend has been passed down among the hatchlings in the fortress, yet when the first hatchling, the academically gifted Clodia, visited the White Jade Divine Palace with Muria, the legend became reality.
All the hatchlings have a surge of learning motivation when they learned the reality of the White Jade Divine Palace. Even Muria was amazed, which confirmed again the desire and greed of dragons for treasures.
The mature dragons snorted at the eagerness of the hatchlings to learn magic spells to visit the White Jade Divine Palace as they had witnessed the construction of the palace and even sneaked into it. This surprisingly created a sense of superiority among them.
Time flew by quickly while Muria was training and instructing these dragons. During this time, he had a rather uncomfortable period when he had to punish the mischievous dragons one by one.
During the 18th year of Muria’s life, the first dragons began to enter their sleep phase. Then more and more dragons entered their sleep phase. They had all concluded their hatchling period and needed to sleep to mature into their young dragon period, stimulating another round of physical growth.
Due to the irresistible entrance of dragons into the sleep phase, the number of learning dragons drastically reduced, leaving Muria unprepared. At that moment, he realized that he did not dislike these dragons as he claimed. On the contrary, he had grown to appreciate these stubborn and mischievous hatchlings. Educating them had become a part of his life.
Fortunately, these dragons were hatched at different times over three years, so the time they entered their sleep phase varied. Some dragons were always receiving Muria’s guidance, preventing him from becoming idle.
When Muria turned twenty, the red dragon eggs sent by Dragon Mother Atreus hatched into dragons that almost simultaneously entered their sleep phase. Their young dragon period was over. When they finished sleeping, they would become six juvenile dragons.
When Muria heard this news, he stayed silent in his room for a while. Time had passed by, and aside from his body becoming bigger and stronger, rising to the Silver rank, Muria’s appearance had barely changed. He still looked like a child, even when he transformed into a human, he still looked like a youngster.
Muria’s lifespans are longer than the dragons, which naturally means that each stage of his life is much longer, exceeding his imagination as a human in his previous life.
