Kill the Sun-Chapter 820: Life
After dealing with the next set of books and checking up on the research base, Nick went back to the contained Adversary for one last session.
"We have a Star Energy generator that can be carried. It's not small enough to fit on a hand, but we can wear it on our backs like a backpack. It is not completely finished, but it will be finished in a couple of years," Nick told the Adversary. "Can we get to generating Pure Energy now?"
"Excited: That's good to hear!" the Adversary said through vibrations. "I would advise you to continue focusing on Star Energy since you are going to need a lot of it, but I also want to get out and eat something. So, yeah, sure, we can get to the Pure Energy part."
Then, the Adversary started to talk about Pure Energy for the first time.
As explained earlier, Pure Energy was a fusion of Star Energy and Zephyx.
In a way, this was an unnatural fusion. After all, Star Energy basically just consumed Zephyx to make more Star Energy usually.
Star Energy was like fire, while Zephyx was like a dense fuel.
Pure Energy was essentially the fusion between a fire and fuel, which was not normal.
The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.
However, living by itself was already not natural in a way.
Existence moved towards entropy.
Energy didn't like to stay gathered in one place for long periods of time.
Energy wanted to be dispersed over all places.
Just like how a big clump of water spread over an entire basin, turning into a thin layer, energy wanted to have low density and spread everywhere.
Over their lifetimes, stars radiate all their energy and warmth over the infinite void that was the universe.
Warmth moved from a hotter object to a colder object, equalizing the temperature.
Life was in opposition to entropy.
Life was a constant oxidation, searching for more food to fuel its fire.
Life gathered energy into one spot, keeping its fire burning.
A sufficiently advanced society would gather the energy of several stars in one area, increasing the density of energy of one spot.
Life gathered all the spread energy and focused it, which was in opposition to entropy.
Life forced energy to do something it did not want to do.
So, creating something unnatural like Pure Energy was just another aspect of life.
Pure Energy didn't want to exist, but life forced it into existence regardless.
However, creating something like Pure Energy was not easy.
Naturally, Star Energy turned Zephyx into more Star Energy, and that process had to be changed to create Pure Energy.
The creation of Pure Energy was turning Star Energy into Zephyx but without the essential component that comprised Zephyx.
The Enlightened Ones had been scarily advanced.
They managed to create things that seemed impossible in the current era.
One of these things was the creation of Zephyx without Specters.
The Ancient Ones had also managed to achieve that.
Sadly, this process was not without drawbacks.
The Adversary knew a lot about human technology. It knew far more than any Specter should know.
It also knew how these reactors worked.
Why did it know so much?
Who told this random Specter how all of human technology worked?
The answer was actually quite simple.
The Enlightened Ones.
Just like how Aegis viewed all of humanity as the most important thing in existence, the Enlightened Ones also viewed humanity as the most important thing. Ȑá₦
