Huang Rong chuckled. These two lovebirds must be looking for Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu to receive their approval for their relationship. This would complicate our family ties. Yang Guo can be considered a nephew to me, but now he’s going to become our in-law.

Zu An smiled. “You used to not care about such matters.”

Tingxue was momentarily stunned before she slowly nodded. “You’re right. I have gotten emotional since coming to this world.”

“You're a human at the end of the day. The path of Nebula demands you to abandon all feelings, but that goes against nature’s will. Why don’t you take this opportunity to relinquish it now?”

“I don’t know why I chose this path back then, but there must be a reason behind that.” Tingxue wasn’t distracted by his abrupt question. “You haven’t answered me yet.”

“Promise me you won’t get angry.”

“Why would I be angry? I forgot anger before coming to this trial world.”

“She told me to take this chance to knock you up.”

Despite the trail of clues provided by the Beggar Sect, Zu An and Tingxue struggled to gather information about Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu. Nevertheless, they could tell that the two lovebirds had only stayed at each area briefly, and their traveling became increasingly rushed.

“All right.” Zu An reined in his smile. He also felt unnerved by Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu’s rushed travel—it felt like an ominous premonition.

So, the two of them traveled day and night in a hurry, but it still took them half a month to arrive at the Ancient Tomb Sect.

To their disappointment, there was no one there.

“No, someone has been here.” Tingxue sensed an anomaly. She made her way to her room and found a letter there. She tore it apart, and her expression darkened.

“What’s wrong?” Zu An asked, feeling concerned.

Tingxue handed the letter to him. Zu An took a look and his heart sank.

It was Yang Guo’s will.

It turned out that Xiaolongnu’s body had taken a toll from all the lethal poisons she had been inflicted with, and it didn’t help that her foundation was already impaired due to her cultivating on the Cold Jade Bed at a young age. She could initially shrug it off due to her strong inner energy, but as soon as she gave birth, her condition had dropped off a cliff.

Yang Guo had been taking her around the world to search for medicine to treat her and to find warm places for her to recuperate. Unfortunately, he couldn’t stop the inevitable. Judging from the rapid deterioration of her condition, Xiaolongnu knew that her days were numbered, so she'd wanted to return to her roots. Her ancestor grandmother, master, and the others were all resting in the ancient tomb too.

Yang Guo had pushed down his sorrow and hurriedly took her back to the ancient tomb.

Xiaolongnu had gritted her teeth and held on, but to her regret, she failed to see Tingxue when she returned. With her wish of returning to the ancient tomb fulfilled, she breathed her last.

Yang Guo had succumbed to his pain and ended his life in the same coffin as his wife. Before he died, he left a will expressing his apology to Tingxue. At the same time, he left behind his martial arts insights in recent years, hoping that Tingxue could learn them and protect herself.
