Journey to the West: Treasure Vase of the Great Dao-Chapter 493 - 266: Changes in the Cave Mansion
They distinctly felt that their lady seemed much changed on this return, not as cold as before, as if she carried a livelier aura about her.
The two tiptoed toward the back mountain, not relaxing until they were out of Madam Deyong's line of sight. The younger Little Demon, still terrified, touched her chest where her heart was violently pounding.
"I was scared to death, I thought I was going to die there," she said to her companion, her voice filled with fear. They had seen how their lady dealt with those who plotted behind her back, a bloodiness too horrifying to even speak of.
It was then that she noticed her companion just standing there blankly, not responding to her comments.
She couldn't help but touch her lightly and asked, "What's wrong, haven't recovered yet?"
The other then turned around, extremely embarrassed, and said, "I wet my pants." The authority Madam Deyong held in their hearts was evident.
Meanwhile, Madam Deyong, whom they regarded as a Demon God, was walking leisurely towards her den, not giving the slightest attention to the rebellion reported by the two maids.
For them, strength was everything. No matter what kind of conspiracies or tricks, in the face of absolute power, they would all crumble to dust.
As she entered her den, she frowned slightly. Previously, when she heard from the two little maids that her den was in chaos, she didn't care much, thinking it couldn't be that messy. However, upon entering, she discovered it was not just ordinary disarray.
Madam Deyong naturally loved quiet, so her den was always silent, where every Little Demon in the den walked as if they were carrying their feet on their shoulders.
Perhaps having been suppressed by Madam Deyong's habits for too long, after the spreading rumor of her supposed death, all the Little Demons in the den began their revelry, playing and frolicking crazily, while the main leaders, busy grappling for power, had no time to attend to these matters, resulting in Madam Deyong's arrival to see her den in turmoil, her eyes flashing with visible veins and burning anger.
She didn't speak, but as usual, took slow steps towards her den.
A particularly faint-hearted Little Demon, while reveling in his newfound freedom, was so frightened at the sight of his lady's face that his body went limp, lying unconscious on the ground.
His commotion immediately drew the attention of the other Little Demons in the den. When they saw the ethereally beautiful Madam Deyong in her white gown, fear from the depths of their souls made them kneel on the ground, trembling as they apologized to their lady.
But at this moment, Madam Deyong wasn't free to deal with these people. To her, they were just like ants, whom she could kill all within a quarter of an hour if she wished. But what would be the point? To execute these Little Demons she had painstakingly trained, and then pick new ones from wild demons for training, would not only waste time but might not yield as good results.
She had more important matters to attend to. Deep within the den, a group of demons dressed in various attire were plotting how to seize her carefully established den. At that thought, Madam Deyong felt a chill spread through her body, her eyes flashing with a cold, murderous intent, like the bone-chilling winds of harsh winter.
In the depths of the den, a group of demons in colorful garb was gathered, discussing something fervently. Their presence was entirely different from that of the Little Demons at the front, and it was their strength that made them the rulers of the den in Madam Deyong's absence, the true masters of that domain.
At that moment, a figure with the head of a leopard furiously slammed the table, bellowing, "Hong Xiu, you wench, thinking you can climb over my head? Even in Madam Deyong's absence, it's not your place to speak here."
The voice was filled with sarcasm echoing throughout the cavern. Several commanders hurriedly covered their ears, seemingly exasperated by the demon's loud voice.
Opposite the demon stood a beautiful woman in red. Compared to Madam Deyong, her beauty was by no means inferior, and she carried an allure Madam Deyong lacked, making her even more captivating.
"Leopard Commander, I never said I was in charge here, so why come at me so aggressively? Surely you don't think Hong Xiu is easy to bully," Hong Xiu stared directly at Leopard Commander, gently licking her seductive lips, yet her eyes were filled with icy murderous intent.

Leopard Commander seemed intimidated by Hong Xiu's demeanor, his previous arrogance dissipated, and instead, he turned his attention toward a strange-looking individual.
This person's appearance was extremely bizarre, his body weirdly contorted, not resembling a human body at all. His face, though human-looking, was covered with blue scales that sparkled under the cavern's light, his eyes were terrifying vertical pupils with not a hint of warmth.
"Lao Qing, you take a call," said Leopard Commander softly, his words filled with respect.
Hong Xiu's gaze also turned towards this person, her eyes seemingly filled with expectation.
Just then, this individual suddenly made a move, his arm swift as lightning, lunging towards Leopard Commander.
Leopard Commander was shocked and quickly tried to block. The bizarre demon's nails were known to hide lethal poison which could kill in a very short time.
However, the person's arm twisted in an eerie manner upon contact with Leopard Commander's arm and instead followed it directly to his face.
This unexpected move left Leopard Commander no chance to react, and he was instantly caught by Lao Qing's claws on his face.
Leopard Commander's face visibly turned blue at a rapid pace, soon turning black, and as he struggled in Lao Qing's grasp, he quickly lost his ability to move, succumbing in less than a minute.
Lao Qing casually tossed him to the ground as if discarding a dead dog. Leopard Commander's body visibly dissolved on the ground at an alarming rate, only the hissing sound ceaselessly echoing throughout the cavern, sounding eerily frightening.
The remaining commanders' faces turned grim, as if about to drip with gloom. They all knew Lao Qing was making a brutal example out of someone, unfortunately, Leopard Commander was that unfortunate "chicken."
Meanwhile, Lao Qing, capitalizing on this momentum from killing Leopard Commander, looked around, his gaze sweeping over the commanders seated on stone stools. A cold gleam flashed in his eyes, pressing down the entire assembly of commanders with his sole presence.
