“Then let’s take a walk, Miss Lutina.”

The young man Oslo greeted Lutina, who waved her hand indifferently in response.
After the others had eagerly left, a hint of disdain flashed in her eyes, which Chen Lun caught.
‘It seems like she knows something…’ Chen Lun thought to himself.
At that moment, three men in duckbill caps also left the cabin after simply sipping some hot water, expressing a desire to look around for some game; they wanted some meat to eat.
The couple, however, stayed behind. Perhaps tired, they whispered to each other and strolled hand in hand behind the cabin.
Noah walked aside, took out his easel and a small stool, and started to sketch the cabin. The cow, as if delighted, dashed into the woods; it was unclear whether it was there to frolic or to forage.
Only Lutina and Chen Lun were left by the bonfire.
“Is that your brother?”
Lutina asked Chen Lun, looking up and pointing towards Noah in the distance with the dry twig in her hand.
“You could say that.”
Chen Lun replied with a faint smile.
“His paintings aren’t bad. He’s quite talented.”
Lutina said, showing genuine interest.
“Yes, I think so too.”
Chen Lun nodded in agreement.
Lutina however, stroked her chin and remarked with an air of maturity:
“But it looks like he’s rather unskilled with static landscapes. His technique is more suited for portrait painting. His teacher must have been a rigid old fellow, most likely with a background as a court painter.”
“You seem to know a lot about painting?”
Chen Lun raised his eyebrows and set down his wooden bowl.
Lutina shrugged her shoulders.
“I’ve dabbled a bit, but it’s been a long time since I last painted.”
She looked at Chen Lun, then curiously asked:
“You and your brother, what exactly are you going to do with the cow at the Augusta Mountain Range?”
Chen Lun had intended to dodge the question with a vague answer, but as he increasingly felt that this girl had secrets of her own, he decided to take the opportunity to probe:
“Delivering a message.”
“Delivering a message?”
Lutina was obviously surprised.
She soon furrowed her brows as if something had occurred to her, and a look of astonishment flashed in her eyes.
Lutina’s fair and delicate face twitched slightly at the nostrils. She gazed at Chen Lun with curiosity and nonchalantly asked:
“To whom? Does someone live in that mountain range?”
“A friend’s teacher.”
Chen Lun answered ambiguously.
Since he had collected all of “Carmen’s Notes” and learned His magic, helping Him to deliver a message… to say “a friend I have never met” wasn’t too much of a stretch.
The shock in Lutina’s eyes deepened.
She coughed twice, nodded to show understanding, and then her eyes slightly glistened.
“Alright… Have you ever heard of the ‘Naturalist Sect’?”
“Hmm.”
Chen Lun nodded naturally.
“A cult organization that was expelled from the Empire.”
“The Naturalist Sect is not a cult organization.”
Lutina’s voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction.
“They’re simply not favored by the Sun King.”
She took a deep breath to calm herself and then asked again:
“Have you heard of the ‘Cat God Cult’?”
“No.”
Chen Lun shook his head indifferently.
Lutina’s frown became deeper. She stared intently at Chen Lun for several seconds, and finally, through gritted teeth, said:
“You’re lying!”
“Hmm?”
Chen Lun feigned surprise.
Lutina seemed no longer interested in talking to Chen Lun, gave him a cold glance, and busied herself with the bonfire.
Just then, cries of alarm and screams suddenly came from the forest.
Out of the five students, only four returned, lacking a girl named Gray. The remaining four were covered in blood and wore faces of terror.
“Help… Save us! Gray was taken by a monster!”
