It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 64: One side love

Petal walked through the quiet garden, It was five in the morning. She couldn’t sleep well because of the pain and discomfort. Every time she fell asleep she ended up sleeping on the side that is injured and it’s so painful.

She decided to take a walk since she can’t sleep, Petal was thinking about what happened yesterday, A normal bath had turned into a disaster, She slipped and end up injuring herself, If Lana hadn’t found she might have been died by now, But for who that voice belongs to that she heard in her half-conscious state.

She didn’t know why, But every time she remembered that voice, goosebumps spread along her body. Pushing the thought away, Petal convinced herself that it was just her imagination.

She was lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice that her legs had taken her to the pool, Petal looked around and found no one, It was early in the morning, No one will be awake before seven, She looked ahead of her staring at the guests’ house and then she looked further at the wall that was separating the rest of the family members mansions, She noticed that the Wilson’s family are a big family, Unlike hers, But her mother told her that they used to have a big family but they cut ties with her father because of his dirty work.

Petal sighed as she looked up at the sky. Her heart felt heavy and she wanted to cry.

"Planning to throw yourself in the water again?" Petal was startled hearing someone’s voice, She turned around to see who it belonged to.

Petal stared at Ethan who she didn’t know how he appeared here when his house was there. She could have seen him if came out from there. This man is terrifying, Thought Petal to herself.

"I thought so, I might not save you this time." Ethan said, seeing her facial expressions.

Petal glared at him before she looked away from him.

Ethan walked towards her and on reflex, Petal took two steps away from him. She can’t trust that man and she can’t be close to him. Little did she know, That she was in his arms yesterday, In her undressed state.

He wondered what her reaction would be if she found out, Ethan thought.

"I don’t bite, I promise." Ethan said, staring at her.

Petal who wasn’t looking at him turned to look at him, He was standing close to her right now and she could see his facial features closely now, She hadn’t noticed it before, But he has a clean-cut face, It was the first time that she takes a good look at his face, He was handsome, Petal noticed.

Ethan noticed the hateful look that she was looking at him with and he wasn’t surprised, But for some reason, He wasn’t feeling any kind of hatred towards her now, It was strange but it was what he felt.

His eyes moved to look at the bandage on her side. The pain must have made it difficult for her to sleep, He thought to himself.

"You should go back inside, It’s cold." Ethan said before he turned around and left.

Petal rubbed her arms to warm herself, She was cold and she didn’t notice It until she was told. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Petal quickly went back inside the mansion and walked straight towards her room and got under the covers and surprisingly, She fell asleep.

Inside Ethan’s room.

Sitting on the sofa, Ethan lit up a cigarette and started smoking it thinking about that girl. He had just come back from a long meeting that lasted for hours when he saw her standing there.

She was looking up at the sky. He noticed how scared she was when she heard his voice and when she turned around she saw the tears in her eyes. Ethan noticed that whenever he sees her, She always cries.

He closed his eyes remembering her face, Despite the tears in her eyes, He was able to look at them closely, She had a beautiful hazel eyes color, The first time he saw her he was blinded with hatred, But today and for the first time, He took a note of how beautiful she is, No wonder his cousin Noah had fallen in love with her.

Letting out the last puff of smoke, He put down the cigarette in the ashtray.

"What am I thinking about?" Ethan muttered under his breath shaking his head hopelessly.

In the evening.

"You look better already, I’m glad that you are doing fine." Noah said as he held Petal’s hand bringing it to his lips kissing the back of it."I was worried last night." He added another sensual kiss on the back of her hand.

"I’m sorry." Petal apologized, noticing the way Noah was looking at her. His eyes seemed a bit darker and it scared her a little.

Smiling at her, Noah rubbed his thumb gently on the soft skin of her hand.

"No need to apologize, It’s not your fault, What’s important now is that you are alright and nothing more." He spoke to her gently, His eyes never left hers.

Petal was aware that Noah feeling was growing towards her but it was one-sided love, She doesn’t have feelings for him, She tried but it didn’t work, It’s been six months since she came here and for the last two months, She and now has been dating, To her, He is a nice guy, She was lost and didn’t know what to do, If she continued to be silent he will think that she shares the same feelings but if she spoke she will hurt the person who had been kind to her since the first day she came here.

Her mind was a mess and she was lost.

She needed to tell someone about this. Once her exams are over, she will speak to Alice about this and maybe she could give her some advice on what to do.
