It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 106: Hiding his emotions
Noah stared at the girl in front of him trying to not be so obvious. Her beauty can not be described in words. In the last few months, PetaI continued with herself, Unlike when he first saw her.
Noah was in love with her but he didn’t throw himself on her. She had told him that she has no feelings for him and he had told her that he won’t stop trying until he finds out that she is in love with someone else and if that happens he will step out of her way and allow her to live happily.
Petal noticed that Noah was looking at her and was just how she wanted it to be. After all, He too is not innocent. He also was aware of her mother’s death all this time and he didn’t tell her.
"Were you aware of my mother’s death?" Petal asked signaling and took a sip from the coffee that she ordered.
Noah’s grip on the cup tightens. He was aware that she would ask him this question sooner or later."I did. I didn’t know how to tell you. I’m sorry." He replied honestly.
Petal’s face didn’t reflect the emotions that she was feeling, instead, she smiled weakly at him."It’s okay. It must have been hard to keep such a secret." She said signaling, making him think she forgave him.
Noah was stunned for a moment. He couldn’t believe how forgiving she is. Reaching for her hand, He put his hand above hers giving her a gentle squeeze."I’m truly sorry. I know what I did was wrong, To keep something like that from you." Noah said feeling guilty about not telling her.
Petal nodded her head telling him that it was okay. For she is going to take revenge herself for what this family did to her.
Today she came to see if his emotions were still high for her and there’re. He was still madly in love with her. Good, that’s what she wanted. Soon she will make her first move.
When she came back she found Jacob waiting for her in the living room.
"Where have you been?" He asked, already knowing the answer.
"With Noah. Why are you asking?" She asked, seeing the look on his face.
"Hmmm. The guy seems interested in you. What about you?" Jacob asked.
Petal looked at Jacob telling him that she understood why he was asking this."I am. He’s a good guy and he seems nice to me from the first day." She replied signaling
Jacob stared at her not believing what she just said. It was hard for him to believe that he’s innocent Pete had turned into a liar and manipulative person.
"What about Ethan?." He asked and noticed the change in her face immediately.
"I might have been away for six months but I know everything that is happening. Don’t play the revenge game Petal. It doesn’t suit you and you will be the only loser in it." Jacob warned her.
"Did he tell you something?" Petal asked Jacob.
She wanted to know what Ethan had exactly told him.
"He did." Jacob replied not giving her the whole information.
Petal didn’t ask further knowing that he wouldn’t tell her what exactly that man told him. She will need to ask that directly.
Glaring at him, She stood up and walked towards her room. Laying down on the bed. Petal closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. It’s been a week since she learned about her mother’s death and the hole of emptiness in her heart was only growing bigger.
This wasn’t what she had imagined her life would be, Full of sadness and hatred. For a moment she thought she might live like a normal person, For A moment she thought that she might have a future with Ethan. But it was all wrong. She might appear strong and unaffected, But the truth is that she misses him even though they only shared one kiss but she could still feel the touch of his lips on hers. The way he kissed and held her in his arms. All these feelings and memories are adding to her suffering.
Reading her hand to touch her lips, Her body shivered remembering the way he had kissed her that day, Her hands moved lower to her throat recalling how he kissed her here. It made her feel wanted and accepted for the way she is, Without conditions just being loved.
...
Three days later. At Isaac’s apartment.
"They look better." Issac said as he looked at her fingernails.
Pearl’s face turned red. She gulped softly trying to ease her nervousness.
"How is your face?" Issac asked, reaching to touch the side of her face.
Issac pushed her hair back to examine her face, His fingers traced the place where the bruise.``Does it still hurt?" He asked gently, pressing on the skin.
"No. It’s better." Pearl replied, Her eyes staring at his handsome face and her heart started to race.
The man was being nothing but gentle to her in the last five days. He took care of her and made sure that she had everything she needed. Never once did he tried to do anything to her.
Issac smiled at her, seeing her red cheeks. He took a step back and walked towards the kitchen counter and started to empty the bags placing everything in its place.
"Let me help you." Pearl said as she started to empty the bags with him.
Issac was wearing a white shirt today and his sleeves were folded showing his powerful arms. Pearl immediately looked away Blushing.
What are you thinking about? She scolded herself mentally.
Pearl reached for the next bag and started to empty it. Opening the upper cabinet She started to place the things inside it. She glanced at him with the corner of her eyes and saw him taking the apron from the hanger, Putting it down. She never saw a man look as beautiful in an apron as him.
Pear sighed to herself. Even if she liked him he won’t think of her in the same way. It’s been only five days since she met him and she already feels something towards him. Is she that hopeless? Pearl thought to herself.
Issac noticed that pearl was standing there for more than five minutes spacing out. He had seen the way she was looking at him. He wanted to react to it but he decided not to Because right now she was still fragile and in the process of healing from everything that happened to her.
Walking towards her, Issac put his hand on her shoulder and gently turned her around before he put his hands on either side of her. Pearl stared at him, surprised by his closeness.
"Issac." Pearl called his name softly.
Issac smiled and brought his hand to her face cupping it."I don’t like to beat around the push, I had my eyes on the second I saw you and I don’t care about your past. All I care about is you. But right now let’s take things slowly. Okay. I don’t want you to feel that you owe me something. When you decide that it’s the time, I want it to be by your decision." Issac said, staring into her beautiful big eyes that stared back at him shyly.
Pearl felt as her world stopped, His words touched her deeply. She couldn’t believe that a man like him exists in this world. He gave her the one thing that she missed the most in the past months. Freedom. The freedom to choose what she wanted.
Pearl couldn’t hold back her tears, Her tears started to flow like a river. But they were tears of happiness, It was the happiest day in her life. Issac held her face with both hands. He didn’t stop her from crying. She needed to let out these emotions that she kept inside her.
"Do you feel better now?" Issac asked, wiping her tears with his thumb.
Nodding her head. Pearl Sniffed as she looked at him.
"Now. Let’s prepare something to eat. I need to eat more. Nor that I don’t like your body now but I want you to be stronger. I’m a very passionate and wild lover in bed." Issac said teasing her and it worked.
Pearl’s face turned red and her eyes widened and she looked away lowering her eyes.
"I need you to tell me what is your favorite food. So I can prepare it for you. I’m good at cooking." Issac said praised himself.
Pearl couldn’t stop herself from laughing. When she first saw him she didn’t think that he was the funniest person kind, he seemed an aloof and serious person. Pearl laughed so hard that her stomach started to hurt and her eyes teared up.
Issac was stunned for a moment, It was the first he saw her laughing since they came here. She looked different, more carefree, and at ease.
"You should always laugh like this. It suits you." Issac said as he turned around to hiding his emotions.
Pearl felt her heart skip a beat at his teasing words.
