ISEKAI? More like I See Crap!-Chapter 227: Nobles and Nonsense ( )
Chapter 227: Nobles and Nonsense ( 227 )
Inside the orphanage, the smell of warm stew drifted through the air as Kisha moved from child to child, checking their bowls and making sure everyone had enough.
She clapped her hands gently.
"Alright, kids... time for lunch!"
"Yay!!" the children cheered, already rushing to the low dining tables, carrying wooden spoons like tiny warriors headed into battle.
Meanwhile, at the far end of the room...
On the old couch, Hazuki lay sprawled like a corpse after a buffet.
One leg dangling off the side, one arm covering his face.
Snoring. Loudly.
"Mm... yum... yum... krooh... krooh..."
Elvia stood nearby, fingers laced in front of her skirt, tilting her head.
"Mister Hazuki...?" she called softly.
No response—just a shift and a new snore pattern.
"Mister Hazuki?"
Still nothing.
Just...
"Kroh... kroh..."
Beside her, Chasia stifled a small giggle.
"Elvia... let’s leave him for now. Come on. Let’s go to the dining area."
Elvia hesitated.
Then nodded slowly.
"Umm... okay."
And with that, the two girls turned and walked toward the smell of stew and fresh bread—leaving Hazuki in his natural hibernation state, snoring like a man with no worries in the world.
Outside the orphanage, the midday sun cast long shadows as a well-dressed butler stood calmly by the gate, flanked by four uniformed guards.
Each wore polished armor with subtle regional insignias—clearly not town guards or random mercenaries.
The butler’s gloves were spotless. His posture—rigid, proud.
He didn’t blink.
"You." he said without turning.
One of the guards straightened.
"Me?"
"Yes. You. Knock the door." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
The guard looked at the simple wooden door of the orphanage.
Then back at the butler.
"...Okay."
He stepped forward—and began knocking.
Knock knock knock knock knock!!
Loud.
Inside, Kisha was just pouring soup into the last bowl when she jumped at the sound.
"Coming!!" she called out, already moving toward the entrance.
Then she shouted again, slightly annoyed—
"And don’t knock so hard!! You’ll break the door!!"
The children paused their eating and looked toward the front hallway.
Chasia blinked.
Elvia’s ears twitched slightly.
Kisha opened the door cautiously, wiping her hands on her apron.
"Who is it—?"
She froze.
Before her stood a tall man in pristine formal attire, face stern and cold, flanked by four armored guards standing rigidly at attention.
One of the guards immediately stepped forward and barked:
"Ahem! The Lord’s butler is here! Show some respect!"
Kisha flinched slightly.
"Ah... umm... okay... what do you all need?"
The butler stepped forward, chin raised arrogantly, eyes scanning her like she was dirt on his boots.
"Lowling." he said with disdain.
"We are from the Gurman Noble Household. Clearly, you know who governs this region."
Kisha nodded quickly, hands clasped in front of her.
"Y-Yes..."
The butler’s lip curled.
"Good. Now—"
He leaned slightly forward.
"Tell me where the black-haired human is."
Kisha blinked.
"Umm... he... he’s inside."
The butler straightened his gloves.
"Excellent. Now, you will call him out here to meet me. I do not waste my steps for commoners."
His tone was sharp. Arrogant. Demanding.
Behind him, the guards didn’t move. Not a twitch.
Kisha glanced toward the hallway, toward the snoring couch...
"I’m sorry..." Kisha said, lowering her head slightly but keeping her tone polite.
"But may I ask—what business do you have with him?"
The butler’s eyes flared.
"Lowling!" he spat.
"You dare question the Lord’s butler!? Know your place! You’re just a caretaker!"
The guards behind him tightened their grip on their weapons—but didn’t draw.
"Just bring that damn human out to meet us. Now."
Kisha flinched at the harshness—but shook her head.
"But... Mr. Hazuki said not to disturb him while he’s sleeping."
The butler stepped forward, anger in his voice.
"We. Don’t. Care."
His voice was like a whip.
"Call him out here, this instant!"
Kisha trembled slightly... but didn’t move.
"I’m... sorry..." she said again, voice small but steady.
"But I can’t."
She bowed her head again.
"Could you please come back another time?"
Silence.
The butler’s eye twitched.
The butler’s voice rose sharply, eyes flashing.
"How dare a lowling like you question our intentions here!"
"You were given a direct command—just call him!!"
Kisha trembled slightly under his gaze, hands clasped tightly in front of her apron.
But still... she stood firm.
"I-I’m sorry..." she said, voice small but unwavering.
"But I have to refuse."
She bowed her head again.
"Mr. Hazuki... well... he’s not someone who... um... likes to be disturbed while sleeping."
Her fingers fidgeted nervously.
"So... err... sorry again."
The air grew still.
The butler’s face twisted into a deep scowl.
The veins on his temple throbbed.
The guards shifted behind him, ready for a command.
But Kisha didn’t move from the doorway.
The butler’s face darkened, eyes burning with fury.
"Guards!!" he barked.
"Take this girl and put her in jail for refusing to—"
He paused mid-sentence, unable to even finish the order through his building rage.
But before a single guard could move—
"OI!!! What’s with the damn noise out here!!"
The shout cracked through the front of the orphanage like thunder.
Every head turned.
And from the hallway—
Hazuki appeared.
Half-awake. Hair messy. Shirt wrinkled.
One eye half-closed. The other twitching.
"I’m SLEEPING here, assholes!!" he snapped.
His bare feet slapped against the wood as he marched forward like a pissed-off landlord who hadn’t had coffee yet.
"Kisha! What the hell! I told you not to let any of those guild people in!"
Kisha flinched slightly, hands still in front of her chest.
"Umm... he’s not from the guild..." she whispered.
Hazuki paused.
" Then who the hell are these clowns?"
The butler straightened, regaining his pompous composure as Hazuki stomped into view like a half-dressed war god who’d been interrupted mid-dream.
He adjusted his gloves, eyes narrowed.
"You are the savior of this town... Mister Hazuki, yes?"
Hazuki squinted at him.
Then scratched his stomach.
"Savior? Your ass."
He pointed lazily at the man’s face.
"What do you want, mustache man?"
The butler twitched violently—despite having no mustache at all.
The guards shifted uncomfortably.
Kisha gasped under her breath.
Even Ridan, now lazily floating from behind the rafters, snorted mid-air.
The butler forced a smile through gritted teeth.
"We are from the noble household of Lord Gurman. We came to formally invite—"
"No." Hazuki said flatly.
"But you haven’t even—"
"Still no."
