"We've almost been here for two months now, right?"

[{ Yup. It's pretty strange how time goes on in this place. If we didn't know better, I would say it's not been more than a few weeks. }]

Rayray had been with my mom in her younger days and yet he is surprised by how the time works in this place.

It fascinates me every time I think about it as well. There's just too much that we don't know about how mom might have made this place… I mean, even the Ego of this tower is soooo pretty~.

Just how much more do we not know about this place?

"Hmm… it's surely been a while. We have learned quite a bit since we came here, haven't we?"

[{ Surely we have. I don't think I have ever tried things that we do, master. }]

Rayray is pretty old. His skill is all about supporting others and the other's skills and abilities.

Whatever you can do, you can do better with his help.

The versatility of his skill beats even Celes' perfect disguise. Thanks to his ability, I have improved my creation abilities significantly.

'I guess if we are giving an overall creation rank, then I would be close to a [Master] rank creator by now.'

There are many things I can make now. I can control Solnova pretty well as well so handling the [Flames] that I possess has become far easier for me. The more I create, the better I become.

After coming back to the tower, I have improved so much even I am surprised how much I have improved. But then again, I am not the only one that has improved over time.

"Everyone has been working hard all this time."

Coming here was an abrupt plan. We had not planned this, but it just happened like this. And the others who came with us took full advantage of this situation.

"Sister Carla might soon become a [Rank-5]. Haha, think about it, a student that has already achieved [Rank-5]. How amazing would that be~?"

In the history of the great academy, there have not been many weapon user students that achieved that level before reaching the third year.

"Even Brother Alf might reach (tier-5) soon. He might just be the youngest to reach that stage in recent centuries."

As a mage, it is very difficult for someone to reach (tier-4) much less anything beyond that. It is inherently impossible for some people to go beyond (tier-3) but if someone that is barely an adult reaches a level even beyond (tier-4)?

The world will be quite shocked when it learns about it, and if it happens in the academy during some kind of event? There's definitely going to be an uproar~!

"Hehe, it will just make the house competitions even more fun~!"

Brother Chry is improving rapidly as well. He perhaps improved the most in these past few weeks.

Reaching [Rank-4] and developing a technique of his own was not easy. Even the great weapon users like sister Carla can't develop a technique of their own in such a short time… it's a different thing that sister Carla has developed two new techniques since we came here, but it's not generally easy to do.

They are working hard, even sister Quin is doing well.

'She's also on the verge of becoming a (tier-5) mage.'

She learned how to handle her null element which apparently is connected to water but not the element of water. It's funny how things work with the null element actually. It's an element without the usual elements.

'I don't know why but I find it funny, hehe~.'

Sister Elle has learned how to use the divinity of her eyes and she uses it when she fights against big brother. They help each other learn about their powers and whenever they are doing that, the rest of us just stay away.

Even watching them puts a toll on our minds. It's not easy to observe the divine happenings with a weak mind. Even I can't handle it well… not that it affects me like the others, but it's just not easy.

'Sansan has learned a lot about his pinnacle skill and the president has learned how to use that skill in various ways. The two of them can now assimilate much better as well… they aren't in a master-familiar bond, but their unique bond still makes them as close as a master-familiar.

They have a special bond with one another, it's magical… just like how sister Quin has a unique bond with her familiar or how Anna has a unique bond with the Arcanum beast, the cute Pappy that she is with most of the time nowadays.

'When it comes to these special bonds, we simply cannot compare them to the usual bonds.'

They are special… the bond that I have with Sansan, the bond that big brother has with Celes, the bond that sister Elle has with Branwen, to even the bond that brother Alf has with Uto. All these special bonds make our relationships much unique from the usual relationships a master and familiar possesses.

'Personally, I've seen people mistreat their own familiars. They have a unique bond with them yet the bond isn't as intimate as it should be.'

And then there are people like Miss Vivian. People who would burn down an entire castle if anyone so much as harms a scale of her tamed beasts.

I love people like her– those who are true to their bonds and take them as seriously as they would with the most intimate connections they have.

"Hmm… alright then, let's go. Let's check up on Anna and finish our preparations."

[{ We will be leaving in two days, right? }]

"Yup. Big brother will attempt his third blockage clearing today, tomorrow we will finish the preparations and look over the gathered recon data one last time before having the meeting.

Anna's safety will be prioritised so everyone must understand their roles before we depart."

We are finally going outside.

We only have about two or three weeks in this tower before we have to go back, so we have to use the remaining time wisely.

We have prepared to spend about a week outside… it's much longer than we actually want to, however we are considering a lot of variables considering the nature of the forest.

'We have no idea what strange thing might pop out of nowhere. We don't know how Anna will react to some of the things that we are going to see in the forest, and then there is a meeting with Big Brother's old friend.'

We have finally decided to go to the place where his squirrel friend lives. She's a helper so there should be a lot of creatures under her, and since it's a safe zone, I think it shouldn't be that big a problem.

'The only problem we will be facing is distance.'

The lake area is pretty far and if we are going to meet Miss Fern, then Big Brother suggested that we meet the ancient willow present over the lake as well.

Ultimately though, we have decided to move in three different groups. And I will be with Anna inside the safety mobility vehicle that we have created.

'It's a pretty safe device that will help us keep up with the others' movement speed.'

Anna, Quinny, Mime, Moon and Del will be with me in the vehicle. Big brother, sister Elle, President, grandpa, brother Chry, brother Alf, and Carla will be moving by themselves.

Mave and sir Zuroro will be inside big brother's storage space to make things easier for them, however we will be moving as close to one another as possible.

They will surround us and we will try to maintain the momentum until it is nighttime. We will camp at night, and after we see a few things that we could only see at night in the forest, we will move on to the next step– sleeping.

We will have to decide on the watch schedules for all the days, and if there is something unique happening at night, then we will have to take that into account as well.

'We have been observing some fun movements on the path that we are going to take this time so Big Brother wants to show Anna a few creatures during the night as well.'

We have Celes and Rayray's skills so we shouldn't face any great problems. But we will keep our movements as close to the original paths as possible.

As long as there's no unique movement, we should be fine. But then again, we are talking about the great forest– nothing has been constant during our recon over the last few days.

If anything, some things that happen over there are simply absurd.

'Just the other day big brother and I were watching the live outages and there was this strange creature with one eye and a humanoid body eating the flesh of a (Blue) ranked creature in an absolutely gruesome manner.'

We identified the creature as an (Amalgamation Imp) creature with dark properties that sometimes obtain a weak demonic nature.

'This one thankfully didn't have a demonic nature, but we can't say if there won't be any with a demonic nature.'

Demonic corruption isn't uncommon in this forest. Big Brother almost died of a demonic creature that was born spontaneously.

'The forest is called the paradise of the energy beasts not because of the creatures that live here but because of the free environment for creatures to naturally exist in different forms.'

There are so many different kinds of creatures here that I know for a fact that we cannot identify all of them even with our abundant knowledge.

Of the tens of thousands of creatures that live there, even with our identification abilities, we might not get to know about all of them.

'It's a good thing that we will have sister Elle with us.'

But still… We don't know what might happen.

So, we must prepare for everything.

Even absurd things like the ones we don't want to happen.
