It was still early in the morning when the students arrived at the academy building. The sky was soft with morning light, and the air was still cool. As they walked in Seojun building, they saw a familiar figure already standing at the edge of field.

"Good morning, Ms. Nymira!" they greeted in unison,

But instead of greeting them back, Nymira turned around slowly, her arms crossed and her sharp eyes focused.

"When did you last use the classrooms?" she asked directly, her tone as cold as usual.

The students blinked in confusion. Minseok scratched his head and answered honestly, "We haven't, actually. We're in the Ethereal Grounds all the time."

Nayoung, holding her bag with one hand and fixing her hair with the other, stepped forward with her usual energy. "Why be bothered, Miss? Training is what's most important!" she said brightly, a big grin on her face.

Elshienne let out a quiet yawn beside her, rubbing her eyes. "Even in the morning, you're so energetic, Nayoung," she mumbled.

Then a tiny voice came from Nathan's shoulder.

"Kyuu~ I'm maintaining it clean, Ny! Kyuu~ But… I wanted to watch their training, so I forgot cleaning for two days, kyuu~" said Sui, raising her tiny paws as if apologizing.

Nymira turned to them, her expression unreadable for a few seconds. Then she pointed at the building behind her and said, "All of you. Clean the whole building."

"Huh?!" Nayoung's eyes widened.

"The whole building?!" they repeated,

Nymira stepped aside, "From top floor to here in field. I want it spotless. Consider this your morning training," she added without emotion.

The students stared at each other in silence.

"Can't we summon your beasts to help too?" Nayoung whispered to Minseok.

"No" Nymira heard her and answer.

Sui squeaked softly, "Kyuu~ I'm sorry..."

Nayoung and Elshienne decided to pair up. Nayoung took a broom, sweeping the corners with her usual loud energy, while Elshienne calmly wiped the windows with a soft cloth, trying to ignore the dust flying from Nayoung's side.

"Ugh, Nayoung, you're spreading it my way again," Elshienne said, stepping back and waving the cloth in the air.

"Sorry! My broom's too strong!" Nayoung laughed, still sweeping with fast, exaggerated movements.

Meanwhile, Minseok and Jinhyu were in charge of cleaning the stairs. Jinhyu quietly swept the steps while Minseok tried to carry a heavy bucket of water up to the next floor.

"Be careful not to slip, bro" Jinhyu said in his usual calm tone.

"I got this… I think," Minseok replied, wobbling a little.

On the other side, Hannah and Yoora were wiping down the hallway walls. Yoora was focused, using her mana chains to the rags to clean faster, but Hannah kept getting distracted by the glow of the crystals in the ceiling.

"Hey, don't use mana to cheat," Hannah poking Yoora lightly. ƒrēenovelkiss.com

"Not cheating," she replied. "It's efficient."

As the cleaning went on, Nayoung leaned close to Elshienne and whispered, "Hey… isn't today the day?"

Elshienne nodded as she wrung out her cloth. "Yeah. The professors are getting hyped up for it."

"What's the big deal anyway? Why are they even bothering Professor Jihoon about it?" Nayoung pouted and stopped sweeping. "Wait—where is Professor Jihoon?! He didn't come back yesterday!"

Sui waved his tiny arms while on Nymira shoulder. "Kyuu~ Don't worry guys! I will tell Master you all are working hard! Kyuu~!"

While the others were busy talking and joking around during cleaning, two students were quiet—Nathan and Sion.

Nathan was wiping down the long hallway floor with a mop, moving smoothly, his eyes calm as always. Not far from him, Sion was cleaning the other side of the hallway with fast, precise motions. He kept glancing at Nathan from the corner of his eye.

Nathan didn't say a word, doesn't even care. He just kept cleaning with steady hands.

Sion thoughts. 'Fine. Let's see who finishes first.'

He sped up his pace, using his cloth to wipe every inch of the wall without missing a spot. He even used mana to push away dust in the higher corners.

Nathan noticed the mana flicker, paused for a second frowning and then moved to clean the ceiling edges by climbing onto a chair.

Their silent cleaning battle continued.

Step by step. Swipe by swipe. Cloth against dust. Mop against floor.

Yoora passed by and blinked. "Uh… why are those two acting like they're in a tournament?"

Jinhyu looked over. "They're not even talking…"

"They look like two ghosts racing," Nayoung added, stretching her arms. "Creepy, but kinda cool."

Even Sui floated by them and whispered softly, "Kyuu~ silent duel…"

But still, Nathan and Sion said nothing. The only sound was the soft squeak of wet mops and rags being wrung out.

Sion kept glancing at Nathan, wiping harder. 'I won't lose to you. Not even in cleaning.'

Nathan simply kept working.

Everyone was busy cleaning, with dust floating in the air and the sound of brooms, cloths, and mops moving around the academy building. Even Sui was flying in circles with a rag, doing its best to help while everyone else worked hard. The air was filled with energy—even Nathan and Sion were silently competing, cleaning windows as if it was a contest, neither of them speaking, but both glancing to make sure they were faster than the other.

Then, suddenly, a loud banging sound echoed through the building. It came from the main gate, strong and firm, like someone demanding attention. Everyone froze.

Buckets were dropped, brooms paused in mid-air, and even Elshienne stopped wiping the walls and blinked. "What was that?"

Nayoung peeked through the hallway, "Someone's at the gate?"

Before anyone could move, Nymira, who had been keeping a close eye on the cleaning, stood up quickly. Her hand went to her head, brushing her white hair, and she muttered to herself, "Three minutes."

She turned around fast, her expression calm, but her fingers moved move to her head and white ears dissapear same as her nine tails. She needed to deal with this fast, before her disguise broke.

"Continue cleaning," she ordered with a firm voice. "All of you."

Even though the students were curious and confused, they nodded and returned to their tasks while whispering softly to one another.

Nymira walked down the hallway in quick steps and reached the front gate. With one wave of her hand, the gate creaked open.
