Silence encompassed the air between the two Archangels, their thoughts stirring. Both were worried over something.

"Big Sister," Michael suddenly said. "My daughter is traveling with this Fateless; do you think…"

"No, she'll be fine," Mikaela answered calmly, her words alleviating some of Michael's trepidation. "That boy may be an anomaly of the highest caliber, but he's still human in the end. As Father's prized creations, humans are designed to be selfish, selfless creatures. This one, in particular, values relationships and family for some reason, which strikes me as odd, considering how much of the aura of death surrounds him."

"Human…" Archangel Michael muttered, recalling the four sets of wings on Cassius's back. "Are we sure someone like him can even be considered human anymore…? He's more of an abomination or an aberration…"

Archangel Mikaela exhaled deeply, her eyes closed tighter than usual. "Discussing this topic any further will get us nowhere; we also can't question him ourselves. These past few years, he has been traveling between the Ascension Towers, tying up loose ends. The 1st through 6th Floors of every Ascension Tower have already been conquered by him, including the Wolfdom and Land of Monsters.

"The only one he has yet to fully conquer is the Realm of Pleasures, but I imagine he's there doing just that right this instant. And as such, he'll soon be leaving for Yggdrasil. This means that by the time we catch up to him—under so many restrictive layers barring us from entry—he'll already be beyond our reach.

Thus, in the end, all we can do is put our faith in Father, hoping that he knows what he's doing by trying to guide the Fate of a Fateless…"

The two Archangels wore complex expressions, their emotions far more tumultuous than usual.

Both their daughters had Fates intertwined with this 'Prodigal Conqueror,' and yet they knew not where those connected Fates would take them. It was a daunting thing to imagine.

"So you've really come in the end," Amaris Aluria said in a sultry voice while lying on her velvety bed. "But to think you'd come directly to my room—a lady's room. Quite the straightforward young lad, aren't you~?"

Resisting her unconscious charms, Cassius had only one real question he wanted to ask her:

"Grace… Is she still alive…?"

Amaris's amused expression suddenly hardened.

"Yes," she finally said.

Cassius unknowingly breathed a sigh of relief.

But then Succubus Queen Amaris continued, "However, she doesn't have much longer left."

A small frown formed on Cassius's shadowy face.

Observing his flux of emotions, Amaris secretly revealed a satisfied smile. Years ago, she would've ordered for him to be captured on the spot, but now that would not only be useless, it wouldn't be what she wanted.

"Haiz… You would've made for a good son-in-law, you know?" Queen Amaris lamented, her gaze softening from its natural state of seduction. "You being my husband would've also been acceptable."

"...."

"But it's now too late for all that," Queen Amaris added, despite the blankness of Cassius's gaze. "Under different, better circumstances, we could've even been a big happy family. I might've even shared you with my daughter, which I'm sure you wouldn't have had a problem with."

'I'm positive my System would've had a problem with that…'

[Damn straight! Humph! (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻]

"But seeing as how things are rapidly devolving around us, that's no longer a possibility," Queen Amaris sighed dejectedly. "A shame… A damn shame…"

How had such a serious topic turned into this?? Was this a Succubus thing or what???

Cassius could tell with a glance that behind all the playful jokes, Queen Amaris was hurting inside. However, as a normally stoic Queen of an entire race, she knew not how to properly convey her emotions in times like this.

"Queen Amaris, Leader of the Succubi," Cassius said in a low yet commanding voice, which warmed toward the end. "You'll take care of her?"

Slightly taken aback, it took Amaris a second to respond with an affectionate smile, "Of course."

Cassius naively believed her jokes had come to an end with those genuine words of assurance, but it was too bad he was mistaken.

"Just take care of my other daughter as well; she's a pretty thing, and you have some history, so you should get along well," Amaris teased. "Just don't 'get along' too well. With your current strength, you being her First Mark shouldn't affect you much when you get down and dirty, so go at it! You have my permission~!"

Turning around with an indifferent air about him, Cassius departed from the room overflowing with sexual desires.

However, before he left completely, Queen Amaris's feminine voice leaked out once more:

"Young Cassius…"

"Yes?"

Amaris's beautiful eyes watered a little, her knuckles whitening due to how tightly she was squeezing them. "Get… Get that Tear of Yggdrasil… Please… I-I don't know what I'll do if—"

"You needn't say anymore," Cassius said without turning his head around, his back still facing her. "I'll return with the cure to what ails Grace. That much you have my guarantee."

While stunned, Amaris missed Cassius's complete departure. Yet, in her typically icy-cold heart, an unknown warmth surged forth.

"Maybe I should make him the father of my children…" she mused adoringly. "Oh, what am I thinking, hah? A young stud specimen like him would never be interested in a silly old woman like me…"

As the Queen of Succubi convinced herself that she wasn't attractive enough, Cassius reunited with the troublesome women who insisted on calling him Master.

Meanwhile, a storm was brewing in the deepest reaches of HELL…

"That little bastard is still alive!?" Lucifer roared so loudly that weaker demons flying through the skies suddenly dropped dead. "How is that possible!? Did I not specifically send out five Apex Hellhounds, each one equivalent to the Mid-Godlike Rank!??"

"Y-Yes, Sire, you did," a Demon Ancestor replied through chattering teeth. "However… They've all been slain…"

"Slain!??" Lucifer erupted in anger, his aura enveloping everything for countless miles. "How could that little bastard possibly kill five Apex Hellhounds?!"
