Yimin's hostility vanished in an instant. "Not Evil Rushan or Egyptian Vixen, so following what you say should be okay! Won't eat the Dad! He lives for now!"

Viola's words came to a slow crawl as she exasperatedly said, "That's good…"

"Yep, yep!" Yimin cheered.

However, her joyous expression froze in place out of nowhere. She then turned oddly serious and looked in Viola's direction.

"What is it—"

"Has to sh*t!"

"Wha—"

"Has to shit!" Yimin repeated, sweat beads rolling down her forehead. "Ate too many yummy monsters—now the shits is coming! Haves to sh*t!!"

She hurriedly skedaddled right the hell out of there, her figure transforming into a silver blur.

"Okay…"

Viola heaved a heavy breath before returning her attention to the one-on-one conversation Cassius was having with his father.

"So, when are you going to ascend?" Adam asked, finally voicing the question he had been meaning to ask for the longest time. "It'd be best if you ascend as soon as possible; you have nothing left here to help you evolve. The Gates created by the Realm of Monsters have begun to crack apart and shatter as well. Soon, this Floor will return to the way it was before…"

He momentarily stopped speaking. "—Before that 'old friend' of mine started allowing people to mess with his creation."

Overlooking that last bit and the expression his father was making, Cassius pondered what he had first said.

The Gates were actually created by the Realm of Monsters!?

Well, not like he was too surprised by that revelation…

Still, he'd very much like to know more about this particular topic! Specifically, what he had to do to find more Gold-rank and above Gates!

There could be more Original Abyss Fragments inside some of them!

'If I can collect all of the Fragments, I wonder just how overpowered my two time-related Abilities will become…'

As this thought lingered, Adam suddenly turned his chin up, listlessly staring into the boundless expanse above. "It's about time I return and make my grand reappearance," he said. "Those old bastards are surely missing me by now, haha!"

"Well, my boy," he looked at Cassius. "It would seem our reunion will have to be cut short. Though, knowing who you take after, it surely won't be long before we meet again on the highest Floors. Oh, and you never answered my question: when are you going to ascend? The sooner, the better."

Cassius's mind filtered through several images.

"There are still some things I have to settle before I leave," he said, a complex glint in his profound gaze. "After I'm done, I'll ascend right away."

"Tying up loose ends, huh?" Adam glanced at all the drop-dead gorgeous women swooning over him. "Ho? You really are my kid, but be careful. Getting too attached to them will only hurt you in the end; don't say I didn't warn you."

Cassius matched his father's serious gaze. "I… know."

"That's good," said Adam, breathing a sigh of relief. "Anyway, I really should be going now. It was nice seeing you, kiddo, and though you aren't as handsome or dashing as this studmuffin before you, you're definitely getting there, haha!!"

Cassius blankly stared at his shameless old man.

Adam laughed a hearty laugh, an endlessly long beam of golden light radiating around him. "Until next time, my boy! I hope that the next time we meet, we can have ourselves a proper duel!"

Cassius started, then comprehended his father's words and steeled his expression. "I won't disappoint."

"I sure hope not!" Adam chuckled. "Oh, forgetful me—I forgot to ask which Ascension Tower you're going to—"

"HELL."

An instantaneous response!

One that had Adam's grin becoming even broader!

"You've got balls, kiddo!" Adam praised. "But don't believe everything to be so simple in that sweltering place. HELL is riddled with secrets—ones that might just leave you suckling on the tit of a fiendish succubus!"

'Hey, what's wrong with Succubi!?' Flora grumbled, observing Cassius's reaction to his father's rude language.

Cassius frowned in displeasure. But contrary to how Flora thought it'd make her feel, she knew in her heart that his displeasure was not for her sake.

No, she was not the one.

'I still have the Incubus Bloodline to offer,' she consoled herself, clenching her fists. 'As long as Big Sis Aza doesn't get in my way, I still have a chance of getting Cass all to myself—'

"What did you say about us!?"

Speaking of the devil!

Adam shifted his gaze toward the indignant Azara. "A Pleasure-Realm Succubus, huh?" he mused, seemingly indifferent to her scandalous clothing and sensual appearance. "Don't worry, little girl, I wasn't talking about you or anyone even close to your generation. I was referring to the real-deal Succubi, but then again, I suppose you wouldn't know anything about them."

"Hwa!?" Azara growled. "What the hell do you mean by that, you bastar—"

'That's enough!'

Amaris Aluria's voice suddenly entered directly into Azara's head, carrying with it a sense of unease.

'Don't conflict with that man any further, Azara! That's an order!'

Adam smirked at the voice transmission, which peeved Azara off even further, but she still heeded her mother's command. Clicking her tongue, she flew away.

Though, on her way to the Space Crack that Adam effortlessly opened up for her and the rest, she saw Cassius out of the corner of her eye.

'What about him, Mother?' she asked. 'Didn't you want me to—'

'Don't bother, Azara,' said Amaris. 'I had assumed it to be too far-fetched a thing to imagine, but it turns out that flirtatious pervert had a child. One who has hints of THAT Bloodline, no less. Haiz…'

This information alleviated most of the loss incurred from losing out on the Minor Karma Event in such an unceremonious way, but it still left many unanswered questions. Furthermore, it raised the question of the danger that came along with it.

Holy Sanctuary of Yggdrasil.

It was the most mysterious, ancient, and possibly the most powerful of all the Dimensions. Getting involved with an entity like that would surely only lead to immense trouble.

However…

'My daughters…'

Not only was Grace head over heels for Cassius Steele, but her second eldest—Flora—had him as her First Mark. Which meant that unless they did the deed and did it enough to drain him to death, she'd face serious repercussions.

Sighing, Amaris slouched into the headrest of her throne. "Why does everything have to be so complicated…?"
