Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 111: A Magic Knight Aiden
It turned out that the girl was the daughter of the owner of one of the blacksmith shops. Because Aiden dared to fight the knight to protect her, the shop owner allowed Aiden to borrow one of his swords.
Aiden took the sword and tried swinging it. Though not as good as a magic sword, Aiden was still able to use it properly. The girl’s father nodded. If Aiden managed to defeat the knight, he could keep the sword.
"Thank you. I will win the challenge," replied Aiden.
"Sure. You protected my daughter. That is all I can do for you," said the middle-aged man.
In Aiden’s opinion, the sword he was given was more than enough for him. What decided victory in a knight’s battle was physical strength and skill. Aiden was confident that with his abilities, he could defeat the knight.
He left the blacksmith district with Aurora and the others. The Challenge Arena was located near the guild office and could be used by anyone to challenge anyone else.
Upon arriving, Aiden saw the man had already entered the arena. A referee provided by the guild was present to ensure the fight proceeded fairly. Lucky for Aiden, there was no system to detect his true class, allowing him to continue as a magic knight.
"Are you ready?" asked the referee.
Aiden nodded. Aurora and the others stood outside the circular arena, watching Aiden closely. On the other side, the man was ready with his sword and abilities.
"Alright."
"The challenge match between Denis Wald and Aiden begins!" shouted the referee.
Not wanting to give Aiden any chance, Denis leaped forward strongly while swinging his sword. The sword glowed, one of the basic abilities of knights.
Aiden managed to dodge the sword swing to the side. He continued to watch the blue glow on the knight’s sword blade.
"Is this what they call the sword’s will?
The swing created a sickle-shaped attack that hit the protective dome of the arena. Aiden jumped far back, standing at a safe distance from Denis.
"An impressive dodge. Show me your sword will!" Denis said firmly.
The man charged forward again and continued swinging his sword. Occasionally, he and Aiden clashed swords with Aiden defending and him attacking. The crowd cheered excitedly, never expecting the fight in the Challenge Arena to be so thrilling.
Aurora looked at Aiden. The man was still not used to sword skills, considering that he had never fought against knights before. This was new to Aiden.
Aiden continued to run in circles while blocking every attack from Denis. Denis jumped back and put his sword aside, ready to use his best technique.
"There’s no need to wait any longer. I’ll end this fight!" Denis declared firmly.
The blue light on Denis’s sword blade grew brighter and longer. Aiden knew that his power was much stronger when using this technique. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"There is no other choice," Aiden explained.
He tried to transfer his fire magic energy into his sword blade, causing it to glow red, surprising Denis and the other knights.
"What? The red Sword Will?!" Denis exclaimed in shock.
The judge narrowed his eyes. This was the first time he had seen a knight using the Sword Will with a different color. Typically, they used the Sword Will with a blue color, just like Denis’s.
On Aiden’s sword, the blade also emitted a strong red light, even stronger than Denis’s power.
Denis couldn’t accept the fact in front of him. He ran forward and jumped high, both hands gripping his sword and swinging it from top to bottom.
Aiden stood below, standing tall and swinging his sword sideways. The sword of fire released a red sickle forward and collided with Denis’s sword will.
A surge of energy erupted from the swords, stunning many people. Denis saw that his sword was beginning to lose strength against Aiden’s sword.
CRACK!
His sword shattered into small pieces, Denis’s sword’s willpower also shattered. The man was pushed back by Aiden’s red sword, his body crashing into the dome’s protective wall, causing him to fall unconscious and helpless.
Aiden landed on the arena without a scratch, the only one left standing, while Denis lay fainted. As the referee began counting down from 10, there was no sign of Denis waking up.
The match ended! Aiden won his first battle against the knight. Aurora cheered joyfully, as did the others. Aiden took his leave. He asked Denis and his two friends not to bother the girl again.
They obeyed and carried the fainted Denis out of the place. Aiden walked towards Aurora and the others; they had to return to the girl’s shop to inform them.
Aurora nodded obediently. She and the others followed Aiden from behind, returning to the blacksmith district to meet the shop owner. There, he saw that the blacksmith’s shop was not visited by many knights—only two or three knights came to buy things.
The girl turned when she saw Aiden return safely with his friends. Excited, she told her father about Aiden’s victory. This made them even happier and relieved.
"Denis and his friends won’t bother you anymore," replied Aiden.
"Thank you very much, Knight Aiden. You have helped us," said the middle-aged man.
Aiden held out his hand, handing the sword he had used to the man in front of him. The man smiled, refusing the sword as it now belonged entirely to Aiden.
"I’m a spear user. Swords aren’t for me," explained Aiden.
He handed the sword to Aurora, letting the white-haired girl use it. Aurora nodded, accepting the sword.
"Do you need anything else, Knight Aiden?" asked the man, the girl’s father.
Aiden cleared his throat. He looked at the items in the blacksmith’s shop, which appeared clean and promising to him. Perhaps Aiden could shop there instead of somewhere else.
"Yes. We need a set of knight’s equipment for me and my friends," explained Aiden.
"What kind of set do you need?" the man asked again.
"Give me the best you have."
