I'm Trapped Inside a Prince as the Most Powerful Entity-Chapter 71: The Big School’s News
Chapter 71: The Big School’s News
In the fancy hall of the Estorian palace, King Noor IV kept talking. His voice sounded like he knew a lot and was a little bit tired.
"...go to the United Academy. Our kingdom, Estoria, hasn’t done anything really great there yet." He stopped for a moment, letting them think about that.
"The nobles and royal kids from all over go there. They are often super smart, like geniuses. It’s very, very hard to be better than them, even for people we think are smart here."
Eric’s eyes got a little wider. The United Academy. He’d heard the name before, people said it quietly and with a lot of respect. It was the best place to learn and train for fighting.
It was where future leaders and protectors of kingdoms were made. The idea of going there, of being compared to such super-talented people, surprised him a lot.
Inside Eric’s body, Adam, who usually just watched the world quietly from inside Eric’s body, suddenly got very interested.
The moment the King said "United Academy," it was like a light turned on in the quiet place where Adam was.
In his body, Adam, who was always imagined as sitting, now stood up. A big, almost hungry smile appeared on his face.
’Academy?’ Adam’s thought, but Eric himself couldn’t hear it.
’I’d really like to meet them. I’d really like to see these so-called smarty-pants whose names everyone knows.’ Adam’s eyes seemed to sparkle, ready for a new, tough, place. fгeewebnovёl.com
What the Queen said, to make Eric not expect too much, actually made him more worried.
Hearing that even his very smart brothers had a hard time at the United Academy made his stomach feel tight.
He knew, for sure, that he was much weaker than when it came to normal skills and power. If they had such a hard time, what chance did he have? Now he had to go to this scary school and face students who might be even better and stronger than the ones his brothers couldn’t beat.
The worry showed on Eric’s face. His surprise turned into a worried frown, and he tensed up a bit.
His father, King Noor IV, was always watching. He saw right away that his son’s mood changed. "Eric," the King said, his voice firm, his eyes steady, "are you already doubting yourself, making a face like that? After all you’ve done these past few days?"
Hearing his father’s direct question, Eric quickly changed his expression. He straightened his shoulders and forced a smile, but it didn’t quite look real. "No, no, Father, it’s not like that at all," he replied, his voice a little too cheerful. "Actually, I’m... I’m pretty excited about it. It sounds like a great chance."
They talked a little more. Mostly, the King told Eric when he would leave and some of the plans they needed to make. The Queen said nice things to encourage him, but her eyes still looked a little worried.
Eric kept up his act of being excited, nodding at the right times, even though his mind was still trying to understand what going to the United Academy meant. Finally, feeling like he needed to think about this new thing alone, Eric bowed respectfully. "Father, Mother, may I please leave? I’d like some time to... get myself ready."
"Of course, Eric," the King agreed with a nod. "Go. Rest and think."
Eric bowed again and then turned, leaving the big hall. He walked at a steady pace, but inside, he was feeling very unsettled.
Scene Change: The United Academy – Principal’s Office
The story moves far away from the Estorian palace, to the famous United Academy. Inside a big, simple office with tall windows looking out at perfect lawns, sat the Principal of the school. He was a large man, his face partly hidden in the shadows of the room.
But you could see some things clearly: a long, white beard that made him look old and wise, and eyes that seemed to hold very old knowledge.
He wore serious black robes with a fancy red sash tied around his waist. On his chest was the United Academy’s special silver symbol – an open book mixed with a sword and a staff.
This showed that the school valued learning, fighting skills, and magic all together.
Standing in front of him, a polite distance away, were three people.
They were clearly important teachers at the Academy.
The first was a Magician, his black and red robes showing what he taught.
He stood quietly, seeming to think deeply. He was a mid-level teacher of magic.
Next to him was an older man who looked strong and powerful. He wore robes like the Principal’s – black with red parts – but they were tighter, so he could move easily. He had a neat grey beard and short grey hair.
His face was tough, and he had a thin, old scar running from under his left eye down to his jaw – a reminder of a past fight.
This was Taylor, the Academy’s head Sword Fighting teacher. He was also a mid-level teacher, known for being very strict.
Next to Taylor was a woman, probably in her mid-thirties.
She also wore the Academy’s black and red, made into a useful but nice-looking uniform for a warrior. Her most noticeable feature was her hair, a bright, fiery red, braided neatly away from her face. She looked confident and full of energy. She was a mid-level Warrior teacher.
The Principal’s shadowy eyes moved slowly over the three of them. His face was hard to read for a moment. Then, he spoke. His voice was calm and steady, but it definitely had power.
"Have all the applications," he asked, "come in from the different kingdoms for the new school year?"
Taylor, the Sword Fighting teacher, who was standing in the middle, stood up a little straighter. He answered in a rough, deep voice that matched his strong body.
"Yes, Principal. All the official applications for this year have come in and been looked at." He paused, and you could hear he wasn’t happy. "And I’m sorry to tell you, Principal, I am... disappointed with the students this year." He shook his head just a tiny bit.
"After looking at their papers and early tests, there doesn’t seem to be a single really amazing student among them. No names that really stand out, no early signs of super, genius-level talent like we’ve seen in other years." He let out a gruff sigh.
"To be honest, they all seem... weak. I really doubt many of them will even pass the beginner tests, let alone get into the harder classes."
Hearing Taylor’s unhappy report, the Principal’s face, even in the shadows, seemed to look a little sad. His lips turned down slightly. He leaned back a little in his chair.
"Then what can we do, Taylor?" he said, his voice sounding tired and like he had to accept it. "The quality of students changes, it always has. We have to keep going." He put his fingertips together.
"Call them all like we planned. We have to test them. The entrance tests will happen in a few weeks as scheduled." Then he added, his voice sounding more official, "And make sure this whole report on the students, including what you honestly think, is sent to the Emperor right away. He will want to know everything."
