I'm Crushing on Gorgeous Faces in Variety Shows!-Chapter 336: Five Fifty, Deal or Not?
The food stickers were all placed, and the director shouted that the thirty-minute countdown would start.
A line of people stood still.
Li Yang, who intended to run out, almost couldn’t stop his feet, stumbled, and stood back again, looking nervously and cautiously to the sides.
"...Why aren’t you all moving?"
Mu Qiu: "It feels like whoever moves first will get chased and surrounded."
"No, no way?" Li Yang turned to look at Shi Yuhuai, asking him quietly, "Brother Huai, what should we do?"
Shi Yuhuai: "Didn’t we say no more teams? We’re not teammates right now."
While saying this, his eyes wandered to look at Li Yang’s arm.
Li Yang immediately crossed his arms, covering the food stickers on his arms.
"Brother Huai! We can’t kill each other!"
Guan Yu glanced at his actions out of the corner of her eye and commented, "Li Yang, why are you crossing your arms like that? It looks like Brother Huai is going to do something to you."
"I’m hugging my stickers!!!"
"Don’t get all worked up. Let me see your stickers, seems like you’ve got one more than I do..."
Li Yang swiftly darted away, ran a few steps outward, "Talk is fine, but don’t touch or grab my stickers!"
"Then can I touch or grab you?"
"...Sister Guan Yu, can you be a little more reserved?!!"
Guan Yu grinned, giggling.
While the two of them were clowning around, everyone else remained constantly vigilant of the movements of those around them.
Someone might strike at any moment, better leave this enemy gathering spot first.
Mu Qiu stepped forward lightly, pulling Guan Yu and Ye Mian, and said to the others, "Can we get a two-minute head start? Us three girls can’t really withstand your attacks."
Shu Ran stepped forward: "Can we let all the female guests have two minutes? This game isn’t about forming teams, we can snatch from each other even within teams, and we female guests are somewhat weaker, it’s too easy for us to get robbed by you guys."
Cheng Zhirang consulted with the other male guests, reasonably ignoring Shi Yuhuai’s unfinished words, and nodded towards them: "Okay."
Li Yang scratched his head and asked Shu Ran: "Sister Shu Ran, really not teaming up to travel together, gonna go solo?"
Shu Ran: "Since it’s stated clearly that you can snatch within teams, staying with you guys just makes me constantly anxious, might as well go solo."
Sounded reasonable, Li Yang, who secretly wanted to go solo, immediately nodded: "True. Then Brother Huai, shall we split up?"
A young male idol, it’s a lie to say there’s no competitiveness. Besides, whatever food stickers you snatch, the corresponding food is yours.
Isn’t it better to have enough food to help out teammates at night than to rely on teammates’ charity with just enough food?
Shi Yuhuai also didn’t want to feel restrained in a team, so he agreed readily.
Mu Qiu and the others also split up and ran, but before running off, they exchanged a look.
A clear mutual understanding.
Among the last group remaining, Fu Ran’s gaze kept tracing the direction Ye Mian ran, yet he hadn’t expressed a stance.
Tang Zi regained her composure, tidied her mood, and with a perfect smile, asked Cheng Zhirang in a conflicted tone: "Brother Cheng, what should we do?"
"Split up and run."
Cheng Zhirang scanned the entire beach, saying: "This beach is large, but it’s not like inland buildings where you can hide at any time, three of us together make a big target, easy to be tracked and attacked."
The bright open beach, you could see bikini beauties from one end to the other, almost no chance to hide and ambush.
Moreover, he didn’t really want to walk with her.
The reasons were ample, but the conclusion was simple: each to their own, and quickly scatter.
Tang Zi gave a somewhat perfunctory smile: "Alright, then I’ll try going solo."
Without asking Fu Ran’s opinion, she nodded to him casually and followed in the direction Li Yang and the others had gone before.
Fu Ran didn’t mind either, after exchanging a word with Cheng Zhirang, he followed the direction Ye Mian went, walking neither too fast nor too slow, keeping a moderate distance.
Cheng Zhirang stayed in place, gave a sweeping glance, and seeing everyone’s movements, went towards the cushion high platform prop used in the previous water balloon game.
Everyone started to split up and run.
As Cheng Zhirang analyzed, everyone realized, the beach was bare, no good places to hide.
They could only try to run to where there were fewer people, hiding under the sparse shade of coconut trees, always on guard for others approaching.
That’s exactly what Mu Qiu thought, but she was different because she also carried a disguise prop—
A cardboard box.
It was the prop box Fu Ran used in the first game, since the program team didn’t know how many people would play this game, let alone if the players would tear apart the boxes, they had prepared quite a few cardboard boxes.
While running towards this side, she grabbed one when nobody was looking.
After running under the coconut tree, she gasped for breath, tearing open the top of the box and slipping it over herself, her movements quick and efficient.
The photographer brother filming her from behind was taken aback, quickly backed up a few steps and refocused. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
After putting on the box, Mu Qiu sat cross-legged; the cardboard box was relatively spacious for a girl.
The box had two holes on top, meant to be handgrips for carrying, but now she pushed them open like miniature windows, knocked on that spot, making a pusi pusi sound.
The photographer brother wearing a floral headscarf hesitated and turned his lens towards that spot, capturing a pair of strikingly black and white eyes, blinking.
Then a voice came from inside the box, sounding muffled due to the confined space.
"Big brother, big brother, could you back off a bit later and just shoot a wide angle, lying behind this row of coconut trees without moving, okay? And... can you take off that colorful headscarf?"
The photographers all hesitated a bit, sending a representative to negotiate.
"We need to shoot your footage, it’s hard to see clearly from far away."
The director had given them a briefing that they couldn’t miss a frame of Mu Qiu and Guan Yu.
Mu Qiu quietly negotiated with them: "But with you guys here, they’ll quickly find me.
How about this, you give me a small GoPro or another small lens, mount it on the coconut tree or the box, would that work?"
The photographer brother agreed, pulling out a cute little GoPro from his bag, then switched one of the lenses to the "fishing rod lens" revealed in the previous episode.
While handing her the tiny GoPro, the photographer brother habitually extolled the merits of the lens.
"HD image quality, clear audio, durable material, portable, and reasonably priced."
Mu Qiu stretched out her hand from under the box to take it, and hearing such a "sales pitch," pondered briefly, then asked through the small opening: "Five bucks, fifty cents, will you sell it?"
Photographer brother: "..."
The guy behind, removing his headscarf, whispered: "What kind of dream are you having."
Mu Qiu awkwardly pulled back her hand, muttering: "Didn’t you say it was reasonably priced."
"Five bucks fifty is not reasonably priced, that’s a giveaway."
"...Alright, my apologies."
