Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear-Chapter 319: Activity Proposal
Rayen blinked and stopped singing. However, no matter how many times he tried to blink, the new black line connected to Yuzuka was still there.
In the end, Rayen was no longer able to control his facial expression.
Miles, who had received the Party Hat from Yuzuka, immediately noticed Rayen’s intense gaze toward her. His protective instinct rose up.
"What are you two looking at?"
"... The black lines," Xu Jiji muttered, beating Rayen to it.
When Rayen and Xu Jiji stopped moving, Yeo Haru also followed suit, leaving only the music to continue playing. The fan resonance also stopped, with the black lines fading away.
"Black lines?" Miles’s frown never left his face.
The two nodded. Only the Minstrels could see the black lines. The only exception was Plotter, who would often use Rayen’s eyes to peek at the Bugs, so Miles was oblivious to what they noticed.
"What about the black lines?"
"They appeared."
Miles and Yuzuka blinked.
"You saw how they appeared?" Miles asked.
"When Yuzuka used a page, a line connected to her..."
The whole room went quiet.
...
Ms. Jin’s paperwork was higher than usual. Gyeongwon’s Founding Festival was approaching, so even though she wanted to go home early, she couldn’t.
It was already 8 in the evening when she finished all the documents stacked up on her desk. But just as she was about to head home, a large number of students suddenly crowded the faculty room.
"Ms. Jin! Ms. Jin! We have something to report!"
Jin Mira’s head throbbed in pain.
"What is it?"
"The Healing Arts Club used and modified the rooftop for their club initiation!"
The students showed her pictures of the maze set-up.
’It’s Healing Arts Club once again...’ 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Under the urging of the students, Jin Mira had no choice but to head to the Healing Arts Club. When she reached the corridor leading to Room 434, the hard beating of the drums immediately made its way to her ears.
’These guys are even partying inside the school?’
Jin Mira adjusted her glasses. She strode over to the door and knocked on it. With arms crossed, she waited for someone to respond inside.
As soon as the door slid open, the loud sound of the speakers became louder. A familiar head with red streaks appeared before her eyes. She immediately felt tired.
Jin Mira swept her gaze inside the room and saw the party hats stuck to their chins. However, despite the seemingly festive atmosphere, some members of the club wore frowns.
"Healing Arts Club," Jin Mira called.
Her voice echoed inside the entire room. Immediately, Gil paused the music.
The whole room was silent.
"Yes, Ma’am?"
"What are you guys doing? This is school property, not some karaoke bar."
Rayen tried to wipe the dark expression on his face. He scratched the back of his head and smiled awkwardly at her.
Behind him, Gil also stepped up. "We’re sorry. We got too carried away while practicing for our festival performance."
Jin Mira raised one of her brows.
Gil bowed in apology, also pushing Rayen’s head down. The others followed suit when Gil signaled behind him with his hands.
"We’ll make sure to lessen the noise," Gil said.
Their act was definitely effective on her. Watching them being obedient lessened her annoyance of not being able to go home right after finishing her paperwork.
When they raised their head again, Jin Mira continued speaking.
"But, that’s not just why I’m here."
Suddenly, she raised her phone toward their face. On its screen, they could see a picture of walls of chairs and tables, forming a path ahead.
Wasn’t this their maze?
"Students reported that you used the rooftop without authorization."
"....."
Those troublesome students actually left peacefully earlier only to report them to Ms. Jin... Fortunately, they had already cleaned up the rooftop earlier.
Rayen feigned a cough to hide his embarrassed face. "We did use the rooftop... but we already restored it to its original appearance."
Ms. Jin’s eyes squinted. "Is that so?"
"You can head over and take a look," Gil said beside him with a smile.
But Jin Mira did not buy it. Just looking at Gil’s smile, that smile was definitely up to no good.
’Wait, since when did this kid become a member of the Healing Arts Club? Wasn’t he an Elite Club member?’
Every member of the Elite Club was as troublesome as the members of this special Healing Arts Club. With the addition of this new member in Healing Arts Club, Jin Mira could already see her future getting bleaker.
’I really need to quickly find this club an adviser.’
If she did not, she didn’t know how much of a headache these guys would bring her again. At least, with a new adviser, the burdens wouldn’t only be hers to carry.
"I will give you until tomorrow to restore it."
"But we already said, we restored it..." Rayen muttered.
Jin Mira refused to listen to him. Before she leaves, she also wants to make these guys pay for wasting her time.
"There’s less than two weeks left before the Gyeongwon’s Founding Festival. Your club still hasn’t submitted any activity proposal."
"Eh? Activity proposal?" Rayen blinked.
"Yes." This time, it was Jin Mira who smiled. "If your club doesn’t submit a proposal within this week, forget about participating."
Do take note, the weekend was just two days away.
Without waiting for Rayen’s response, she turned around and left with a smug smile. She definitely seemed satisfied.
...
As the members watched her leave, the corners of Rayen’s mouth twitched. Why is this teacher even pettier than him and Yeo Haru?
Rayen turned to look back at the members of Healing Arts Club behind him. They were no longer in any mood to continue the celebration after having discovered a critical matter earlier.
"Should we head home?" Gil asked, trying to break the ice.
...
Rayen, Xu Jiji, and Yeo Haru went back to Flower Garden Agency. However, it wasn’t just them who came back. Miles accompanied them as well after taking Yuzuka back to their hotel.
When they entered the building, Misty immediately greeted them.
"Welcome back! Mr. Miles is also here. Welcome."
They nodded at her.
However, seeing the dark expression on Miles’s face, she tilted her head.
"Was my greeting not enough?"
Rayen smiled at her awkwardly. "No, it’s fine. He’s not just in the mood."
"Is that so?"
Miles was too tired to respond. Immediately, he turned back to the portal.
"Is Mr. Miles already going out?"
Did he just escort Rayen and the two kids back home? What a kind person.
Rayen seemed to be able to read her mind and laughed awkwardly.
After Miles tapped the door’s electronic keypad several times, the door of the agency opened again, revealing a swirling dark portal.
Of course, he wasn’t here to accompany those silly Minstrels back home. Only Yuzuka had that privilege from him! He was just here to use the Flower Garden Agency as a transit point to head somewhere.
Entering the portal, Miles arrived at the place he was supposed to head to. The entire place was filled with countless bookshelves. Wherever he turned his head, these bookshelves that didn’t seem to have an end surrounded him.
This place was the Great Library.
