Chapter 315: Homeless Gil

"Eliminate them?" Rayen asked.

’This guy... Isn’t his mind a little too dark?’

And he said it too with such an innocent face.

Gil seemed to have read his mind. He waved his hand to deny Rayen’s thoughts of him. "I don’t mean it in a literal way,"

Hearing that, Rayen sighed in relief. At least, he could still be saved.

"So? What do you have in mind with this so-called elimination of yours?" Miles asked. His gaze was still a little too sharp as he looked at this newcomer.

Yesterday, this guy tried to take advantage of Yuzuka by holding her hand, and today, Yuzuka had just stumbled to the ground because of him again. No matter what Miles thought, he just couldn’t help but dislike him. It was already innate at this point.

"I mean, we should think of a way to reject them fairly," Gil explained. "If we don’t do that, our club will be turned over the next day."

Rayen and the others held their chin in thought.

Xu Jiji nodded. "I think what he said is reasonable."

The others also nodded in agreement, even Miles did. Even though he didn’t want to agree, this guy’s thinking was quite meticulous.

"But how do we do that?" Rayen asked.

Suddenly, Yoo Gyeo joined in on the conversation. "W-Why don’t we base it on your experiences?"

"Our experiences?" Rayen muttered.

Xu Jiji was quick to realize what Yoo Gyeo meant. "A survival show?"

Yoo Gyeo nodded. "Y-Yes."

Yuzuka clapped happily. "That’s a good idea!"

Seeing that Yuzuka was satisfied with the idea, Miles also nodded along. But then, he suddenly turned to Gil, his eyes gleaming with a more brilliant idea.

"I’m just concerned about one thing," Miles said, staring at Gil.

Gil felt a bad omen coming.

"Shouldn’t you also take part in this so-called elimination of yours? After all, if the other students realized you’re not a teacher at all, and we just accepted you without proper procedures, what would they say to us?"

"What you said makes sense..." Gil could only agree.

"Then..." Miles gestured toward the door. "Please go out."

Seeing that Gil still remained in his place, Miles shed his unenthusiastic demeanor and took the initiative to ’guide’ him out the door. Gil could only let Miles push him without resisting.

The moment Gil was out of the room, Miles quickly shut the door before he could even turn around.

Gil glanced back and tried to peek through the window, but Miles was one step ahead of him. He shut the window with its blinds, leaving Gil no way to peek inside.

What just happened? Weren’t they just happily talking about his idea earlier?

At the same time, Lee Seoha was just on her way to the Elite Club when she witnessed this scene.

Lee Seoha was also a member of the Elite Club. Rayen wasn’t aware of this fact since she was always with Choi Jaehan when he came to bug Rayen.

The two met eyes briefly. Gil was the first one to shift his gaze away.

Was it a wrong decision to quit the Elite Club to join this Healing Arts Club?

...

After the afternoon classes, when the students went on to check the situation on Healing Arts Club, they were instead greeted by a notice posted on the club’s bulletin board.

"For club member applicants, please head to the rooftop at 6 in the evening for the Club Initiation. Thank you :)"

The rooftop?

Some students tried to knock on the door to inquire, but no one answered them. And so, they could only head toward the rooftop at exactly the time indicated in the notice.

A crowd had already gathered at the entrance of the rooftop. There, they saw the same ’teacher’ who had scolded them this morning, wearing a student uniform.

Wait... That guy wasn’t actually a teacher?

The students who just realized this fact gritted their teeth. Now that they’ve taken a closer look at him, wasn’t this the member who betrayed the Elite Club and joined their nemesis’s ranks?

"For those who submitted their club application yesterday, please line up," Gil instructed.

The students could only begrudgingly follow his words.

Gil smiled, his entire expression amicable and seemingly experienced. If the students hadn’t learned that this was just a fake facade, they would have mistaken him for a reliable person.

A person’s face really matters a lot.

As the time of the appointment slowly approached, the number of students arriving steadily decreased.

Once no more students were arriving, Gil glanced at them with a smile.

"Welcome to the Healing Arts Club initiation."

Murmurs filled the staircase.

"What’s this initiation about?"

"Since all of you wanted to join our Club, with your astounding number, we can’t possibly accommodate everyone." Gil’s smile remained on his face as he explained. "To give everyone a chance, the club came up with a simple initiation."

"If that is the case, aren’t you supposed to take part in this initiation too?" a student protested.

For the first time, Gil’s smile stiffened. His facade broke for a second.

’Can you not remind me of that?’

Gil readjusted his posture to hide his heartache.

"I’m also going to join you. That’s why I’m here outside."

Hearing that, the students who were just about to follow in the protest calmed down. However, there were still some who weren’t satisfied.

Among the line of students, a girl raised her hand. "What if you already knew the mechanics of the initiation?"

Gil glanced at her. "Don’t worry. They did not include me while they were planning the initiation." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

That was the truth. After being welcomed by Miles yesterday, he was deliberately kicked out of the club room by the very same person today. And now, this girl was actually reminding him of that heartrending fact.

It truly hurts his heart.

He was the one who suggested it, yet he was kicked out of the group?

However, the girl wasn’t convinced. "I don’t believe you."

"I can’t do anything about that." Gil shrugged.

He turned toward the shut door, waiting for it to be opened by the members of the Healing Arts Club. He was also curious as to what kind of ’fair elimination’ they would prepare, and how they would ensure that he and the other Unaffiliated Entities among the applicants wouldn’t get ’eliminated’.

Well, they had to make sure that he wouldn’t get eliminated, or else he would be a homeless person. He no longer had a place to go back to after quitting the Elite Club, after all.

Thinking of this, his heart ached once more.

After waiting for a few more minutes, the door to the rooftop was finally opened. Yoo Gyeo appeared at the entrance together with Rayen.
