I was Kidnapped for Revenge by a Ruthless Alpha-Chapter 37: Climb over me
Chapter 37: Climb over me
ODETTE’S POV:
When I felt his hot breath on my neck and then his soft lips on my neck, I was so unprepared and taken by surprise my body instinctively reacted, I wasn’t given anytime to process. It bent to touch, craving it. I caved before I even had a chance.
I melted into his touch. The caress of his lips up my neck before I knew it we were lip locked his tongue exploring every part of my mouth. I wanted more. Needed more. I felt desperate and out of breath. My stomach jumped while my heart danced.
I was losing my mind in this kiss. It became too much. Way too much. I had to push him back before I lost complete control. I was pink from the heat of the moment, breathless from the kiss, and mindless from the intensity.
I wouldn’t give in that easy, I wouldn’t forgive him just because he touched me in a way that made my insides set themselves on fire. Because I ached for the familiarity of his touch.
No, I was stronger than that. Stronger than my urges.
"I’m sorry." I found myself whispering to him.
I don’t know why I’m apologizing.
"For once you’re not doing anything wrong." He teased, straightening his clothes.
"Ready?" He asked me.
I was still so hot and bothered, but had to keep my composure, I couldn’t let him know exactly how affected I am by him.
"Yeah, I guess." I shrugged nonchalantly. Trying to appear indifferent.
"Let’s move then." He slid his hand to my lower back and gently led me out of his room and out of the castle. A car was waiting for us. An all-black Ferrari, black rims, black windows, black paint. It was clean, sleek, a pristine instrument for precision and aerodynamics.
I looked down at my dress, it was much too long for me, though the matt black matched the car and him, I still felt underdress to ride in this car and overdressed for shopping.
"This is a bit excessive for a shopping trip." I mention strolling up to the car.
Then he opens the door for me. Like actually opens the door and held my hand while he helped me inside. Taking my seatbelt, he pulled it over me, his hand just barely grazing my chest a slight gasp escaped from his hand brushing against me.
His face centimeters from mine, his close proximity made my heart drum in my ears, causing my breathing to shallow and quicken.
If I leaned forward just a little our skin would touch.
When he pulled back, he stopped right in front of my eyes, staring into my eyes, I could lose myself in those beautiful suns shinning in his eyes.
He spoke quietly. His voice was slow and seductive. Like he was challenging me to close the gap between our lips.
"Are you ready, princess?"
I died when he spoke those words to me, every annunciation was deliberate torture, designed to tease me.
How could any one man have so much charisma? It was truly unfair!
I shivered from his tempting warm breath.
"You know, you don’t have to be so close to ask me that? And I know how to use a seatbelt." I tried to brush him off. But, oh my goddess, was I getting hot and bothered again. I wanted him to touch me right here in this tinted car.
"I know." He smirked.
I was going to hate that smirk; I can already tell.
He responded like a condescending child. And it irked me.
I scoffed and stared out the window at the beautiful view exiting the palace gates.
The city was bright and robust. It looked a live with lights and people moving around. The homes were all big and beautiful. The streets were smooth. We go through another gate to find what must be the shopping district. Shops lined up on the side of the street with big signs. People walked at all different speeds, moving around with unfinished business and loaded with bags. People walked in all kinds of different styles. The city was polished but not polished like Bucharest, my clan capital. My family liked living small, away from the politics. They traveled every month and would be gone for a week to handle court business. I came with during holidays and breaks.
But this was different. It was less busy but had all the same charm.
We pulled into a parking garage, and he was at my door opening it before I could finish unclipping my seatbelt.
"Let me show you the beauty of the wolf shifters capital. There are other shifters here, not just wolves. We host feline shifters as well as some bird shifters." He stated proudly "I’ve worked to make this place a safe place for people with many different backgrounds. It’s not perfect by any means, and just like other cities we have our own crime and poverty problems. But out of all the packs, this city offers the most to its citizens."
I looked around the street in awe. I couldn’t tell the difference from one species of shifter to the other. But I guess that was the beauty of it, the different breeds of the same species blended and mixed well enough together.
Vampires didn’t intermix with anyone, not like them really. She was the only vampire in her school, all the rest went to a night school.
But his world was diverse and interesting. I walked around wide eyed, gaping at all the business and kiosk stands.
The sweet aroma of salty snacks and savory meat filled the street. People talked in different languages and argued with their hands.
I couldn’t stop smiling.
Until the people noticed their Alpha King and then noticing me standing next him.
I wanted to shrink under the heavy glares. But I refused to back down, readjusting I stood tall with confidence walking like the royal I am. I’d be damned if I let these people make me feel less than them. Because I’m not, I’m a bad ass. I pushed out an aura the felt strong and self-assured.
They would not intimidate me.
That’s when I felt it.
I felt him slowly slide his hand to the lower part of my back, gently guiding me. He was asserting some kind of possessive claim over me in front of everyone. Almost daring them to say something.
"Since we lost our breakfast, how about lunch?" Ambrose offered with a smirk.
I crossed my arms and frowned at him "You mean, You destroyed breakfast."
"Semantics, princess, this place has a great brunch, I get take-out from here." He opened the door to the restaurant.
"Sit down." He gestured toward a corner booth.
"What no private room?" I joked.
"Nope. Today I’m a normal guy with a girl on the street, taking her out to eat and going shopping." He leaned in and said quietly. He scooted into the booth and was sitting right next to me. His legged touched mine, sending a jolt through my body. I don’t get the reaction I have when he touches me. It’s not like any ’love’ I’ve ever felt. This wasn’t love, it was something different.
And it scared me. A lot.
It made me forget about Kalvin, and that also scared me. That was unfair to him. to us even.
Guilt crept into my heart. Hear I am enjoying my time with my captor while he’s probably worried sick.
I gut wrenching pain hit my stomach hard, and I needed a moment, I needed to get away, I needed to breathe.
"I’m going to use the bathroom." I scoot to the other side, but then he grabbed me by my arm pulling me back to him.
"Cross this way." He whispered lowly into my ear.
He wanted me to cross over his lap in front of everyone.
My heart was pounding, my cheeks reddened with embarrassment.
"No way." I grunted trying to pull away from his grip.
But he just tightened it "Then you won’t be going anywhere."
I bit my lip. I needed to get away, I needed space, but doing this in public. It’s too much.
But I had to get away for just one moment.
I take a deep breath and move across his lap, heat creeping up my body. His hands poised to have my ass move over them.
But to my surprise he didn’t take the low hanging fruit and grab my ass. I felt slightly disappointed
"I’ll be watching." He growls seductively at me.
"That’s not creepy at all." I mumble.
He laughed.
Damn that wolf hearing. That was going to pose a problem Sigh.
The bathroom was down the hall to the left.
I quickly rush inside, closing the door and locking it behind me. I start to take deep breaths to slow my heart. I was hot, too hot.
Fanning myself and doing deep breathing exercises, I was calming myself down. When a knock jerked me from my focus.
I open the door, and a man pushes me back inside.
"What a pretty little thing you are."
