I was Kidnapped for Revenge by a Ruthless Alpha-Chapter 198: Its a deal
***Author’s Note: I am so sorry, I’ve been sick with Influenza B and Norovirus for the last week and haven’t worked on shit. I just picked my life up again and cleaned my house, and now I’m writing. Hopefully these next Chapters will make up for everything. This Chapter is the same as 244 in the Gentle Maiden***
~Narrator~
"You come at last, DarkChild. We’ve been waiting for you." The Crone’s voice raspy and cracked.
It scratched in Violet’s ears like nails on a chalkboard. She covered her ears. Ezelreth laughed at Violets discomfort. Any amount of unhappiness Violet experienced, even the slightest, brought him joy.
"That’s good, let me not waste time, if you work for me, I will gift immortality, to those who are worthy of it." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Define worthy, DarkChild, if you would?" It was The Maiden who spoke now.
Ezelreth smiled, he liked smart people, as long as they were obedient. The obedient ones could be given grace for smart questions.
"Who serve me well in this war, prove themselves useful, and of course it’s leaders and I will allow one chosen witch agreed upon by you three. I will turn you into vampires. You will not be half, you will not be Trueblood’s, you will be Purebloods. Original creations the first of a new era of vampires, loyal only to me and my father, the god of darkness and death, Cerberus."
It was all a part of his plan, a way to give his father more power, by making more worshippers. Tributes, belief, worship... Love. That’s what gave a god their strength. Ezelreth knew the way to bring his father back to his former glory, he needs followers. Just like before, he would destroy those who worship any god but his father. He believed his father should be the absolute ruler.
He would burn the world to make that goal a reality.
"If we serve you, serve this war, we will be granted immortality after? No. For the three of us and our chosen, we will do it now, upon agreeing to the deal. You can pick witches of your own will, and from our recommended names." The Mother took her turn to speak rejecting his first offer with an alternative.
He didn’t like defiance; he found himself frowning. But the ask was worth it for his end goal, he knew this was a possible ask of them. They would be loyal only to him and his father. A blood pact could force it even after his own death.
"I accept those terms on a second condition of my own. We make a blood pact ensuring future generations of any vampire in your coven, if they are born or take the Rite under your coven will have loyalty to the god of darkness and death."
The three witches glanced between one another, gauging their faces for their decision, not verbally announcing their individual position on the condition.
All the three were in agreement.
"We accept those terms we will agree to a blood pact that is sealed only once we are made immortal." The Mother spoke for them.
"Failsafe."
"Then we have a deal, how long for you to make the spell, what is needed? I don’t have a lot of time to waste." Ezelreth kept Violet’s tone cool, even with his deep echo underneath.
"Wait for the new moon. The moon must be new to make a blood pact as strong as this. You want it to stretch generations, we need the moon that shows the rebirth of a new cycle to do that." The Crone explained.
Ezelreth frowned, it’s not like he kept track of lunar phases. He didn’t worship Artemis, the betrayer. He wasn’t found of the idea of using the moon goddess for any ritual, either, it didn’t sit well with him.
"I don’t want anything to do with that traitor." He growled.
It was almost laughable to The Maiden, hearing it with Violet’s sweet sounding voice.
"It’s not about her, it’s simply the way magic works, the wind direction, the star and planet alignment, the location, even, the time of night or day. Everything has its own contribution to magic, that’s the only way."
"Fine. When is the new moon?"
"Tomorrow night." The a grin tugged at The Maiden’s lips like she had just played a joke.
"That was a long winded way to answer me. My patience is thin." He growled, his words carried an underlying threat that no one in the room missed.
"Tomorrow night. Be ready." Ezelreth’s cold demeanor returned and Violet’s voice leveled, becoming its normal flat uninterested tone.
He left the room another witch followed silently and swiftly, pretending to be nearly invisible, the young witch learned early to blend in, not stand out.
Ezelreth stopped and looked back, "You, girl, lead us to rooms. We will be staying tonight."
The witch just nodded, trembling in fear, she held her arms close to her chest, hugging herself for even the smallest sliver of comfort and moved between the shifters and the scary looking pink haired girl.
She took them out of the coven house and to a large beaten down looking house.
"You expect me to stay here." Ezelreth asked in disbelief.
"I apologize for its outward appearance, but the inside is nicer." The young witch whispered.
"Go." Ezelreth waved her on impatiently.
She led them to the door jiggling the keys.
Inside, it was very different. Clean, minimal in design. Practical, nothing to fancy, but nothing broken or mismatching.
"This will do." Ezelreth wasn’t too picky, but he had decent standards for his stays.
The witch nodded and backed up toward the door. Before leaving she said "If you need anything there’s a bell by the fireplace, ring it and someone will come."
She turned a quickly left before anyone could say anything. The girl was mousy, but quiet and obedient, maybe he’ll keep her as a little slave girl. He smiled.
Once he got out of this body, he’d take her from the back.
The night was mundane, uneventful and seemed to drag on.
While Ezelreth was bored out of his mind, the witches were in their craft room working on the spell.
