I open my eyes and release a yawn before getting out of bed. I make sure to do it slowly, not to wake Silva and Hilda. After getting off the bed, I leave the room and see one of the servants already waiting in front of our room.

She bows at me and says.

"My lord!"

"Shhhh, the other is still asleep. Can you prepare a bath for me? A warm bath."

"Of course, my lord. Should I knock when the bath is ready?"

"Do it slowly. I will wait near the door."

"Of course, my lord. I shall do it quickly."

After saying that, the servant left me alone, and I returned to our bedroom. I sigh, take the chair nearby, and place it near the door. While waiting for my bath, I decided to look at the things we got from our little vacation.

The first thing I take out is a stack upon stack of gold chests from our adventurer job. We take their highest-paying quest, which gets us a lot of gold. Dungeon cleaning, where the adventurer needs to kill at least a hundred monsters inside the dungeon, gets us around ten gold. If the Dungeon Cleaning job already gives us money, the Dungeon Conqueror gives us even more money. When we conquer a dungeon, the guild will give us a hundred thousand gold coins, which does not include the monster we are willing to sell.

All in all, we can get more than two hundred thousand gold coins in a single dungeon. Combine them with all our missions outside dungeon diving; we get over a million gold coins. I think it is almost two million if we count all of them. That is a lot of money.

Combine it with the reward the King, Duke Itor, Count Rezghi, and Viscount Serhakan gave to me for healing his son and helping in the monster wave; I get more than ten million gold coins. That is enough for me to live comfortably for seven generations or more.

That is all the gold. I did not count the artifacts and other items the Kings gave to me. Potions, medical ingredients, and magical books are among the things that he gives to me. Just how much money do they have? I know that the Verlagan Kingdom is a trading Kingdom because of how much trading happens in that place, but really? They are willing to give more than ten million gold and many precious things to someone from another Kingdom.

Well, now that I think about it, it makes sense that they have a lot of trade. Their neighbor is the biggest empire in the entire continent, and their other neighbor has an academy known as the world’s strongest and most famous magic academy.

They can get a lot of money from putting a tax on each ship that comes to their Kingdom, and they can even put a tax on each transportation ship that goes through the river. That is only from a tax. They are also the biggest export of monster parts. I learned from Vida that most of the monster part from the hunt has heating property in them, and it makes it valuable for the people in the Northern Continent and the Eastern Continent when winter come because, according to Vida, the Eastern Continent have the worst winter, even to the northern continent people.

Trade and tax are what I think make them a rich Kingdom and the reason why the Empire next door wants to take over their Kingdom, to have access to that sweet, sweet sea. The empire is a land-locked country, after all. They did not get that much tax from the trade ships that came to their country. Most of them come from the Verlagan Kingdom or the other Kingdoms in the eastern part of the Verlagan Kingdom.

I shake my head and open the treasure chest one by one and see a glittering of gold, silver, and bronze coins inside of it. I nod and put them back into my inventory. Now, I take out the artifacts and magic books the King and Duke Itor gave to me.

However, before I can even take it all out, I can hear a soft knock on the door. I put them back into my inventory and opened the door. I can see the servant already waiting for me in front of the door.

When she sees me, she bows and says,

"The water is ready to go, my lord. Please follow me."

I nod and follow her through the corridor of the palace. After walking for a minute or two, we arrived inside a massive bath. The servant helps me take off my clothes and gives me the towel. I remove my pants and clean my whole body with cold water before getting inside the bath pool.

I let the water soak my body, and I released a sigh. I can feel all the fatigue wash away, and my entire body gets refreshed.

"So, today will be the day you get back home, huh, Grandmaster Gwyndolin?"

"Please call me Gwyn, Your Highness. Also, yes. We will take a carriage back home."

"Please call me Raymond, Gwyn."

"Of course, Raymond."

The king of the Luzia Kingdom smiles at me and says,

"Good. Anyway, I already prepared some carriages to escort you."

"You don’t have to, Raymond. You can trust me to protect your daughter with my life."

Hilda blushes a little at my words, and Raymond nods in approval of my words.

"It is not because of me not trusting you, Gwyn. However, as a king, I have a certain obligation to fulfill. I nod in understanding and give him a small smile.

Raymond laughs out loud and wipes a small tear out of his eyes before saying.

"Yeah, that sounds just like what she will do. She has been in this kingdom, not doing anything. Because of the incoming winter, she needs to attend a lot of parties as a noble, and she has been grumbling a lot because of that."

"Ah, I understand. She and a noble party is not something that can get together."

Raymond laughs once again and says.

"And you know what makes matters worse for her?"

"What?"

"It was a tea party."

Now, I also laugh at that word. I can imagine an almost two-meter-tall Amazonian woman wearing a white dress drinking tea while gossiping about something middle-aged women find interesting.

I can already see the grimace on her face when she attends that kind of party.

"Yeah. I can imagine what kind of torture she has to endure. I don’t mind a tea party, but sometimes it is rather boring."

I can see all of my companions nodding their heads. It looks like they agree with me.

"Ah, don’t let my wife hear it from you."

"Speaking of your wife, can I ask where she is?"

"She is attending one of those parties. An afternoon tea party."

"An afternoon tea party. Then why did she go this early?"

"The distance of the location and the pre-talk between two noble women. I don’t really know what they are talking about, but I know it is important because it makes a connection between the royal family and the other nobles."

I nod my head in understanding and say.

"I see. It is a shame. I want to thank her for taking care of us."

"I will inform her about your gratitude."

"Thank you, Raymond."

"It is not a problem. Now, let’s move on to another matter. Can you give this letter to Lord Cunningham, your father?"

Raymond takes out a letter from his pocket and gives it to me. I take the letter and say.

"Sure. I don’t mind."

"Thank you. You don’t want to know what’s inside the letter?"

"Nah. This is between you and the Lord of the Cunningham family. I’m just an heir."

Raymond nods his head proudly and says.

"I know that you are a good man, Gwyn. I hope that Hilda and you have a child faster. I want to see my grandchildren."

"Dad!"

I can only laugh at daughter-father bickering.
