I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 142: Start of Joint Quest
We decided to talk about the mission while sitting. We are sitting around the round table, and I put the quest paper on the table.
"This is the mission I decided to pick. We will explore a dungeon that manages to grow long enough to create a space distortion."
Space Distortion is something that happens when the dungeon gets too strong or at least gets long enough to absorb a massive amount of Chaotic Energy of the Void. There are two types of Space Distortion.
The first one is where the dungeon core expands the space around it. It can be expanding to make it a massive open field full of monsters or expanding where it creates a floor-type dungeon like the one in many fantasy-type games in my previous life.
The second one is where the dungeon core creates a new space and creates a pocket dimension; it will create an even bigger space to trap living beings and birth countless monsters if not looked after. The only way to get into this place is through the portal the dungeon core places on its previous spawning place. This portal is the one connecting the dungeon core to the living world.
Of the two types of dungeons, the second one is the most dangerous because it can birth many monsters at once. Lucky for us, this type of dungeon takes a long time to mature and transform into a Pocket Dimension, and it is rare. Usually, the dungeon will mature and turn into the Expanding Dungeon.
"Lucky for us, this one is an Expanding Dungeon. It consists of ten floors, and the main monsters spawned in this place are monsters that control fire. That means we need a lot of water and any equipment with enchanted water elements."
Quentyn and Jul-Tan nod their heads in understanding. Quentyn rubs his chin for a few seconds and says.
"I know a place that can sell us all the gear we need. Do we need to depart immediately?"
"No. I think we can go in a day or two."
"Great. We can rent gear for the two of us for this mission. Do you guys want to come as well?"
I shake my head and say.
"No. We are good. I think we should meet up here early in the morning. Sounds good?"
"That is good enough."
Quentyn gets up and bows a little before saying.
"Thank you for taking us with you on this mission."
"Don’t mention it. The more the merrier."
Quentyn smiles at me and leaves the adventurer guild with Jul-Tan.
"My lord, why do you take them with us?"
I look at Jonathan and say.
"Because I want to know how the people in this world fight. So far, we only spar with the soldiers in the palace and never see the people of this continent fight a monster."
"But why? We did not need to see them fight."
"Did you know this continent is the most invested, with monsters, in the world? I want to see how they can survive in this place because they look like us; they fight to survive, but unlike us, who need to watch out for the other kingdom attacking us, they only focus on the monsters."
The first one to get it is Jullian, surprisingly.
"You want to know how they handle the monsters, how their equipment handles the monsters, and how they can survive this long."
I nod and say.
"That’s right. While we are here, I notice something. I notice how the people in this kingdom have an even more potent healing potion than the one in our home."
"What?! Seriously?!" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
I look at Silva and nod.
"Yes. We might have a potion that can cure a disease, but they have a potion that can instantly heal a wound."
I learned that from the Royal Healer when we were exchanging some knowledge with each other. The potions he creates have a fantastic healing power for any physical wound. They even have a potion that can regenerate limbs.
That’s right. The Royal Healer blurted out that he knew how to make a potion that could regenerate limbs. A potion that even the greatest Potioneeer and Healer of the Gipan Kingdom cannot create.
If not for the potion recipe from my Second Life account, the Gipan Kingdom would not have that kind of potion.
"The only downside is that potions are expensive in this place. While even the commoner can buy a healing potion for a silver coin, and we already get profit from that amount of money."
Silva nods and says.
"A weaker potion, but commoner can access it, huh? Unlike the one in this place."
"Yup. Anyway, there is also their gear. Jullian, you notice how weird their gear is, right?"
Jullian nod. He looks around the room for a second and says.
"Yes. Most of their gear has some kind of element that can strengthen their attack, protect them from a certain element, and even heal them slowly while they are fighting."
"And the answer is Dwarf. Dwarf is a master crafter. Unlike us, they can imbue magic into their creation and get an enchantment from it, where we need to craft the weapon and then enchant it."
"We need two specialists to create an enchanted item, while the Dwarf can only need one."
"That is correct. Anyway, that only leaves us with one more thing. Fighting style of the people in this place. I hear the people of this place have a unique way to fight a monster, especially one bigger than them."
I learn this from the soldiers when they are taking some sort of cable to the armory, and I ask them a couple of questions. That cable is made of a strong but light metal called Vork, which is used as a grapple hook.
The grapple gun, or in this case, the grapple magic launcher, fires a grapple hook with the cable attached behind the hook. This thing is used for the adventurer to get into a high place and even hold the monster for easy damage.
It is like the [Hunter] class in Second Life. They are masters of tools, traps, and poison. They are the most annoying class to fight if they have time to prepare because all their traps are hard to detect, and don’t make me mention their highest level trap.... That alone makes me shiver.
"Anyway, I want to learn some of their fighting techniques and maybe copy them."
I then look at Jonathan and Jullian.
"And maybe the two of you can also copy the technique."
Jonathan and Jullian look at me with a determination in their eyes and say.
"Leave it to me, young master. I will learn it and make you proud."
"Yes, my lord! We will learn it quickly and make sure we will be useful to you!"
I can only sigh at their answer before rubbing the bridge of my nose.
"Anyway, let’s go and prepare. I need you guys to try a couple of pieces of armor I have inside the pocket dimension."

After casting that spell, I nod and prick Arslan’s finger with a needle. I nod when I see the blood stop and not dripping a lot longer than necessary.
"Arslan is still healthy. That means the disease will no longer appear, and he is free from the diseases."
Today is my last day doing a daily examination on the Crown Prince and the last day we need to stay in this place. This place is great and all, but we want to explore this kingdom, after all.
That is why we decided to be an adventurer in the first place.
"Thank you, Grandmaster Gwyndolin."
I smile at the king and say.
"It is not a problem, your highness. Anyway, with this, he is good to go and do the activities he wants. Combine it with the daily dose of potions; he does not have a small resistance to poison."
"Can I ask for a favor? Can I order a batch for my daughters? I think they also need that. You did not need to worry about the payment. I will make sure to pay you the exclusive payment."
I nod and say.
"That is easy enough. Give me three days or a week to make the potions for the two of them. As for the payment... We can talk about it later."
"Nope! You will not use that card on me. I will pay you in gold. One way or another, I will make sure to pay you in gold."
I can only sigh and say.
"If you say so."
I give a last pat on Arslan’s head and get up.
"Anyway, I think this is all, your highness."
"What? Why are you saying all that? It is as if this will be our last meeting."
"That is not what I mean, and you know that."
The king smirks at me and says.
"Anyway, are you sure you did not want to be my personal healer? That old man already made a nest inside his lab, and I know it will be long before he gets out of his room after you give him that spell and potion recipe."
I shake my head and say.
"Thank you, but just like before, I must decline."
"What a shame. Anyway, I know you will go and do a quest. Don’t let me hold you down, and be careful."
