Chapter 126: Chapter 126: Visiting the Guild Base

"Alright. With you guys here, I can show you something. This is something I got when my talent awakened. This is a special place for me; it is as if it has a special place in my soul. It is as if I have seen it in my previous life."

Reincarnation is not an uncommon belief in this world. Goddess Alena is the one government over the soul and where to put them. The religion believes that Goddess Alena will put someone doing something great and good in their life and be given a second life. They will not remember their first life, but they will get something out of it, like a remnant of their previous life talent or maybe something they created in their previous life.

The reason why I decided to use this excuse is because I don’t want them to know that I’m a reincarnated person from another universe. I want that secret to be kept as a secret. This is a new life for me, and I don’t want to be remembered because of my past life.

"A portal, my lord?"

I shake my head at Jonathan’s words and say.

"No. It was not the portal I was talking about, but what was inside it. Come on, let me show you around."

I step into the portal and wait on the other side. It takes them a few seconds before one of them gets inside the portal. The first one is Jullian, followed by Silva. They walk through the portal one by one and arrive in front of my guild base.

"Welcome to my pocket dimension."

They look at the massive building behind me, and I cannot help but smile a little. My guild base is massive if we compare it to the building of this era. This building looks like the Church in the Capital City, and that thing is the biggest and the grandest church in the entire kingdom and even some of the kingdoms around us.

"Beautiful."

I look at Silva and say. I can see a small light in her eyes. She uses her talent to see the entire dimension, huh?

"What do you see, dear?"

"I can see a man made of flame holding a giant sword that can burn the world."

Ah, Xxx_Burn-Your-Arse_xxX, our DPS and Off-Tank. He is a massive dork that likes to roleplay his game. Because of his nickname, he makes his character into something that boosts any of his flame-based skills. His race is a [Homunculus], but he takes a special quest that changes it into [Flame Lord], one of the five highest [Homunculus] races. As for his class, he decided to take [Gladiator] and [Fire Dancer]. [Gladiator] lets him absorb a portion of the damage he does to the enemy, and [Fire Dancer] lets him continuously do damage so he keeps healing himself.

"What’s else?"

"I can see a massive shield in the middle of the sun. Instead of blocking the sun, this shield makes the sun even brighter."

Ah, that is our main tank. She is called Normie_Brrrrrrr, a Main Tank that can take damage head-on while healing herself. She is an introverted woman who speaks a little, but when angry, she can spit many words, mostly curse or slur words. She is the first one to retire because she is getting married. That was a surprise for the rest of us. At first, she still played quite regularly, but after getting pregnant, she decided to retire to take care of her child.

Her class is [Sun Knight], a tank class that has a massive health regeneration and a great buff to boost that regeneration. Her second class is [Sunlight Priest], a Support and Tank class that excels in health regeneration and healing per second spell.

As long as we are fighting an enemy who cannot stop her regeneration, I can focus on healing the DPS and the Off-Tank because her regeneration is ridiculous. Even when the GM makes a cap for this, she gets an item that can break the limit of one limitation the GM puts. Guess what she breaks? That’s right! Her regeneration.

"The next thing is a massive amount of stars! They are pulsating with power, and I can see many creatures swimming, floating, and flying in this sea of stars."

Ah, that would be our best DPS, Gold_Baron. Just like his name suggests, he is a whale in Second Life. He is willing to buy the equipment he wants using real-life money, and he is willing to spend a lot of them without thinking. He is just like me. I spend a lot of money from my parents on this game without thinking because I cannot spend it on other things.

Because of this, he has the best equipment and items to be one of the best players in the entire game.

His classes are [Star Mage] and [Summoner]. [Star Mage] is the opposite of [Astrologian]. If [Astrologian] is a pure support class, [Star Mage] is a pure DPS class. [Star Mage] is a pure Glass Cannon because of how big the DPS it can do, but it has only a small amount of HP and thin paper defense.

To balance this, he takes the [Summoner] to boost his HP a little bit and gives him a companion that can take damage instead of him. He is one of the few that can summon the [OP Five]. He decided to take [Diablos] as his strongest summon.

"Urgh"

Silva suddenly closes her eyes and grunts in pain.

"Silva! Are you okay?"

"Ah, I’m okay—just a headache. There are too many things around here for my talent to handle. Those three are the biggest among infinite things in this place."

Ah, she can also see the vault, huh? As a Loot Goblins guild, we have a lot of things in the vault, and we even have an item that we cannot use. I still remember how we waged war when a guild ambushed one of our members and stole an item from us.

The desperation in their voice as we steal all their goods and destroy their guild base brings back a smile on my face. Good time.

"Then please don’t use your talent while we are here."

"Yeah. That would be a bad idea. This headache is bad enough, with only me looking for a minute. I don’t know what happened when I did this for more than a minute."

I nod and help her stand up.

"Anyway, let us get inside. We can rest inside the guild base."

"Guild base? Is this a guild? It is more like a church than a guild."

Right. A guild is usually a place for people to exchange goods or something like that. Even the Adventurer Guild looks like a warehouse because they are hunting monsters and wild animals before selling them to the merchant guild.

"Let’s just get inside."

We walk to the base, and I chuckle a little when I see them gaping at the sight in front of them. The first floor is the lounge. This is where all my guild mates gather together and enjoy each other’s company.

"This is the pub. You can take as much food and drink as you want."

"What is this place?! This is bigger on the inside!"

Oh! I never notice it, but Jullian is right. This place is bigger on the inside, huh?

This place can fit almost two hundred long tables and still have a good enough space to walk around. Besides a lobby where we can enjoy talking to each other, this place also has a kitchen and a storage room for our junk, low-level items, or something we cannot use.

"Do you guys want to eat something, or should we explore?"

After a few seconds of talking, we decided to explore first.

"This is the second floor. This is where I train and experiment with my spells."

I point at the small open arena and say.

"This is where we can spar or fight a golem. I can choose how powerful the golem will be. That means you can fight something even more powerful than me."

And I’m not lying. The golem can copy anything we defeat, except the boss monster, and copy the member of the guild, be it the one who still stays or the one who decides to quit. That means I can fight one of the best players in the entire Second Life, and the golem copies them perfectly, which means I fight them in their 100%.

I know that I cannot defeat them at their peak, so why bother? However, I have a feeling that Jullian and Jonathan want to try it.

"My lord, who are they?"

"Hmm? Oh... I don’t know their name, but I have a feeling they are connected to me."

What Jonathan points at are statues of my comrade in the past. I cannot tell him their names because some of them are weird.

Silva looks at me for a few seconds before saying.

"Which one are you?"

I instinctually point at my statue.

"That one."

Silva looked at my character and me for a few seconds before saying.

"You must have been a great mage in your previous life."

"You are not questioning this knowledge?"

"Why should I? The Gods bless me with a great husband. Instead of questioning them, I will thank them for their blessing."

I release a sigh of relief and smile a little.

"Anyway, while I did not have a memory of them, I have a feeling that they are my brother and sister in arms."

I look to the side when I hear a small shout in surprise just to see Jullian manage to summon the strongest PvP player of our guild.

"Ah, you found the control command. That is where you can change which opponent you face."

"Who is that, young master?"

"That is the strongest dueller."

After I said that, I could see a strange shine in Jullian’s eyes. Haaa... that spar maniac will try to beat that golem. Oh, well, that’s for later.

"Anyway, you can fight him later. For now, who wants to see a mountain of gold?"
