Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Journey To The Western Continent

I look at the infinite ocean in front of me and sigh a little. It has been seven hours since we set sail away from the Sea Serpent Point, and the only thing I can see is water and nothing more.

And I cannot help but smile at the sight in front of me. Some might not understand why I smile at the sight around me. It is just water, right? Well, that is true. However, this is a sight I have wanted to see since I was a small boy.

In my past life, I got a terminal illness too soon to explore the world and grew up in a bed and inside the hospital. I cannot go out because direct sunlight exposure will worsen my illness. I need to stay inside a room where the doctor and nurses already cover the entire window with a special film that blocks sunlight. I can still see if it was still noon because I can see a circular light behind that film.

Because of this, I wanted to explore the world even when it was killing me to do that. I want to see the sun, I want to feel the wind fly past me, and I want to see the ocean. I want to see the blue water of the ocean.

I’m glad to be reincarnated into this world and experience something I could not experience in my previous life.

"You really like the ocean, huh, dear?"

I look to the side and see Silva walk toward me with a smile on her face.

"Silva."

I smile at her and look back at the ocean before saying.

"Yes. This is the first time I have seen this much water, and I like it. It has a unique sight that cannot be found in the land."

"Hmmm, I guess you are right."

Silva stands next to me and puts her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her and said.

"What about the other?"

Silva chuckles a little and says.

"Hilda is taking care of them. Their sea sickness should get better in about ten minutes."

Sea sickness... something that even my spell cannot cure. All the spells I cast at them can cure the seasickness, but it quickly returns back. I can cure them temporarily, but it will not last long, only around fifteen minutes before the sea sickness returns back in full blast.

Hilda and Nathalie have a solution. It was a chewing herb that helped them quickly get used to the sea and even cure sea sickness. Sadly, they need to chew them for a few hours before the effect starts to appear.

"I see. That is kind of her."

"Hilda is like that. Her appearance might look like she does not care for others or is cold to others. No. She is kind, and I’m glad to be her friend."

"You really care for her, huh?"

"Of course! She is a great person."

"That she is."

We stayed there for a few minutes, did not say anything, and only enjoyed each other’s company while looking at the ocean.

"Can I join?"

I turn around and see Hilda smiling at us while wiping her hand.

"Sure. We can have tea here."

After saying that, I take out a table and chair for the three of us to sit.

"You know, I’m interested in how you can store this many items. I know there is a Void Mage who can create a pocket dimension to store their items, but they can only store a small number of items, and it cannot be bigger than a certain size."

That is news to time. Oh well.

"Well, I can take you to the place where I store all these items if you want."

"Really?!"

"Yup. After the others are done with their sickness, we can go there. For now, let’s have some tea time together."

I pour some tea for the three of us and take out snacks from Second Life. Sadly, because of the current era, the snack is not on par with the modern snack. Because of this, I became the inventor of pizza.

I still remember Catharina’s expression when she learned that I’m the one who invented pizza in this world. Priceless.

"Gwyn, can I ask you a question?"

"Hmmm?" I look at Hilda and nod. "I don’t mind."

Hilda smiles and says.

"Can I ask if what you have shown is your most powerful? I mean, I’ve seen your summoning magic, healing, and attacking magic, but is that your maximum power? I’m curious if you can go more?"

I blink for a few seconds before saying truthfully.

"No. That was not my full power."

Hilda and Silva widen their eyes, and Hilda starts to mutter something.

"I see... I cannot catch up to him..."

Ah, she wants to catch up to me, huh? I feel bad because I’m cheating. I get them from my previous life, after all.

I pat Hilda’s head and smile at her.

"You don’t need to catch up to me, Hilda. Each person has their weaknesses and strengths. Truthfully, I’m a support type of mage, you know?"

"Really?! If you use your spell, you can destroy a small kingdom, you know?!"

Silva shouts in surprise.

I turn to her and say.

"But it is the truth. My talents, [Druid] and [Astrologian], are supporting talents that mostly help others."

"But what about your summoning spell?"

"That’s right. Those fluffy beings can destroy a wall with ease!"

I look at Hilda in confusion and say.

"Fluffy?"

Hilda blushes a little and says.

"I ask Freyja if I can see the memory of the fight against the monster and see the creatures you summoned in that fight."

"Ah, I see."

Hilda has a talent called [Memory Share]. She can share a copy of anyone’s memory and show them using special orbs to the others. She can copy the memory in the form of a string and put them inside the orbs to share it with others.

"Which one is your favorite?"

"The White Tiger! And the Black Tortoise. The tiger looks fluffy, and the tortoise looks cute! Even when it has a snake as a tail."

"What about the other?"

"The dragon looks majestic, and the bird is beautiful, but the tiger and tortoise are my favorite."

"I see. I will tell them that when I summon them."

"Can you let me say it myself?"

"Sure. I can do that."

I smile a little when I hear Hilda cheering at my word.

"Anyway, they are not the strongest creatures out there."

I can think of more than two hundred creatures that can defeat them with relative ease. There are five strongest summoned creatures in the Second Life. They are called the [OP Five], and two people can only summon each creature. That means only ten people can summon them.

The first one is [Diablos: Ruler of Hell]. [Diablos] is a demon of the highest order and a tank that can take a lot of damage while also debuffing the one attacking it. Fighting a user who can summon this being is a hassle because you will debuff everything you hit this thing, and that debuff is something that frustrates many people.

The second one is [Lucifer: The Brightest Star]. [Lucifer] is an angel or fallen angel, depending on the player’s karma. If it is negative, [Lucifer] will be a Fallen Angel. If karma is positive, [Lucifer] will be an angel. When he is an angel, he is a support that cleanses and heals the player. When he is a fallen angel, he is a DPS and Debuffer.

The third one is [Cthulhu: The Old One]. [Cthulhu] is an Old One, a creature of the deepest ocean. This thing is a beast, literally. [Cthulhu] is a DPS; boy, does it hit hard. It is slow, but when it hits, it hits like a truck, and what makes it worse, it has a skill that can immobile players, and only a high-ranking cleansing spell can dispel this.

The fourth one is [Leonil: Beast King]. [Leonil] is a giant lion with golden fur and fire around it. This thing is a Tank and DPS combo. It is a tank in stats and passive skill, but the more the enemy fights this thing, the more damage they will receive. This summoned creature has a skill called [Beast of the Sun] that damages anyone around it for 1% of the player’s maximum HP per second. However, this is dangerous because it was a [True Damage] which means no defensive spell or skill can block or reduce the damage.

The fifth one is [Tiburon: Sea Predator]. [Tiburon] is a Megalodon that shoots lasers, and I’m not joking. This is another DPS and Tank combo creature. While this creature’s stats are not as tanky as [Leonil], [Tiburon] has decent stats like an Off-Tank. However, what makes it deserve the title of a tank is its ability to generate HP every time it hits something, and this thing hits fast and hard.

"Really?!"

"Yup."

I nod and continue.

"My summoned creatures are not for destroying things but rather protecting me from harm. They are my last defense if something worse appears. I’m lucky not to meet someone strong enough to kill them. However, I know that there is someone who can kill me out there. Some already show me the power to do so."

I look at my left hand and see Silva and Hilda wince a little.

"Anyway, what I want to say is that you did not need to compete with me because we are all different. You need to find your own path and build that path to help you attain your dream. I will help you build your path so the three of us can walk together. Don’t see me as your goal. See me as your partner that will help you reach your goal. I prefer you walk next to me than in front of you."

Hilda nods her head and smiles a little at me.

"I see. I will do that."

"Good. Anyway, let me show you where I store all the items I have. The others are already waking up."
