Chapter 52: Decryption

Bang!

The bomb was detonated and the heatwave from the explosion pushed Jin Yang and Qiu Tong to a corner.

Jin Yang’s pupils constricted. Qiu Tong was in his arms and their lips were pressed against each other through their masks.

Multiple explosions rang out one after another in the second level basement. With this method, the lives of countless civilians were used to attack the soldiers. The military unit suffered heavy losses.

There was a burnt smell in the air and tattered clothes were scattered on the ground.

The remaining soldiers bypassed the iron gate and barged in. Where were the terrorists?

There were only a few iron cages left behind, that reeked of blood, as well as some abandoned firearms.

They gritted their teeth in frustration. The ambush plan that they had planned for days had failed. 𝗳𝙧𝐞𝚎w𝗲𝚋n𝚘𝙫𝑒𝘭.𝑐om

Qiu Tong stood up awkwardly and helped Jinyang up. She followed Shao An to check the scene.

The old man who had attacked Jin Yang had his limbs torn apart due to the explosion of the bomb. The scene was tragic. Qiu Tong used her leg to kick the corpse on the ground and discovered that a woman in the corner was still breathing weakly…

Qiu Tong covered her most critical wound with her hand and used her special ability to heal her, so that her life would be out of danger for the time being.

She restrained the person and asked, “Who kidnapped you all? Why did you agree to become a human bomb? Cooperate with us and I will ensure that you can leave safely. You can change your name and welcome a new life.” 𝙛𝐫e𝚎wℯ𝗯𝒏𝗼ѵ𝙚l.𝒄o𝚖

“They are terrorists! The organization is huge, the division of labor is clear, there are also the lookouts…”

“There are many secret exits in this building. If there is any disturbance, they can quickly retreat and escape.”

“They carry out a lot of human trafficking. They kidnap us to sell and keep us in cages. If there’s an emergency, they’ll kick us out and send us to our deaths. They are just betting on the fact that you won’t shoot…”

Qiu Tong frowned as Jin Yang listened to her narration with a dark expression.

Shao An took stock of the scene and handed the woman two slices of bread.

She ate ravenously and said in a daze, “Oh right! They also have special staff to brainwash some of the captured folks so that they are willing to be used.”

Qiu Tong looked down and realized that the terrorist group had an extremely tight management system that would be difficult to break through from the outside.

If they wanted to force an attack, they would have to face the problem of innocent civilians getting injured.

She recalled one of the methods to surround a group of zombies during the apocalypse and had the idea of pretending to be human traffickers and infiltrating a terrorist organization.

“Are the movements of the kidnapped people limited to this building? Is there no way to leave?”

Qiu Tong threw out an inexplicable question. The woman shook her head and calmed herself down. Pointing at an electronic ankle device around her ankle, she said, “Only high-level kidnapped people who have been brainwashed can move around outside. They are responsible for buying some daily necessities, vegetables and fruits, as well as looking for other trafficking targets…”

“To prevent the police or others from sneaking in. They put this special ankle device on us.”

“It’s developed using the latest technology and materials. Unless you destroy the device or cut off the feet, you’ll never be able to remove it. Only the senior leaders of terrorist groups have the password and method to remove the device…”

“I’m afraid that I won’t be able to remove it even to the day I die… even if I run to the ends of the world, I won’t be able to escape…”

The woman’s eyes were filled with helplessness and resentment. Qiu Tong squatted down and examined the ankle device with interest.

Shao An summoned the best decryption expert in the military. He fiddled with it and triggered the defense system of the device. It indicated that the password was wrong and would explode in five minutes!

Everyone panicked and retreated while protecting Jin Yang.

Qiu Tong comforted the terrified woman as she examined the device. She stared at the electronic screen and tapped at a few places with her fingertips.

The ear-piercing alarm disappeared. Jin Yang pushed the bodyguard away and walked to her side. He stared at Qiu Tong’s actions, his eyes shining with anticipation.

She always seemed to be able to surprise him!

Two minutes later, with a click, Qiu Tong unlocked the passcode and removed the electronic ankle device, swinging it around…

Qiu Tong glanced at Jin Yang before putting on the ankle device under everyone’s shocked gazes.

She smiled playfully and murmured, “Not bad. It’s quite exquisite.”

“But the password system is just child’s play, it’s very easy to crack.”

Jin Yang frowned at her actions. He seemed to have guessed something and asked anxiously, “What are you planning to do?”
