I Reincarnated as the World's Worst Healer-Chapter 52: Dead Elf Makes Good Fertilizer (3)
Luther, struggling to withstand the crushing weight of the massive serpent’s jaws, saw Kaly appear before him from inside the creature.
The white-haired girl advanced through the serpent’s throat, unleashing lightning without pause as she climbed toward its jaws, not to escape, but to strike with every ounce of strength she had left in her body.
The moment her fist made contact with the elf, a massive explosion erupted, releasing enormous bolts of lightning that even affected the great serpent.
At that instant Luther’s body was blasted even higher into the air than they already were, while the serpent and Kaly, who was still inside its mouth, fell to the ground.
"What the hell was that? The serpent is the ruler of the lake, it shouldn’t be able to release lightning of that color," Lucian said, intrigued by what they had witnessed from below as the serpent’s head came crashing down from the heights.
Seeing that explosion, Ebony immediately understood it was the woman who had previously fought their enemy and had disappeared along with the serpent.
When the enormous creature dropped its gigantic body onto the earth with a thunderous crash, the blonde girl hurried toward the serpent’s mouth.
The lord of the lake was now unconscious from the explosion that had occurred inside its mouth, so Ebony took the opportunity to set her shield aside and step into the creature’s mouth in an attempt to find the woman responsible for the blast.
"Hey, are you in there? I know you can at least say something! I’m here to help, so yell or something!" Ebony called out as she sharpened her gaze, trying to see inside the serpent.
The blonde cautiously began walking deeper into the creature.
"(Please don’t wake up, please don’t wake up, I don’t want to become snake crap)"
Her unexpected ally coughed, blood filling her lungs as she crawled through the serpent’s throat, trying to reach the outside.
"(That bastard... He’s still alive... I have to kill him... I have to kill him)" Kaly thought as her body agonized from the strain her transformation had caused.
Her mask, a bear skull that had once been painted deep red by the forbidden spell, was now split in two, its color slowly fading, just like the pelts that had once seemed fused to the girl’s skin.
Without hesitation Ebony grabbed Kaly’s body and, carrying her easily thanks to her strength, pulled her out from inside the serpent. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Outside, she laid the white-haired woman’s body on the ground and began examining her wounds. "Don’t move, let me help you, we’re not enemies anymore so don’t make this harder than it needs to be, okay?"
The leader of the hunters was losing blood rapidly, she had multiple cuts caused by the lord of the lake’s scales, however the worst damage was internal.
Ebony took her patient’s hand in an attempt to calm her, but at that moment, thanks to her Healer trait, she connected with her body, sensing the damage more precisely and even feeling the girl’s internal injuries.
She had broken ribs, one lung had been punctured because of it, as well as multiple points of internal bleeding.
The condition was grave, so grave that it was obvious to Ebony she could do nothing.
"Help! Somebody please help!" Ebony shouted, watching as the hunters who had aided her before rushed over.
Seeing their leader in such a state, the hunters began placing their healing pelts over the white-haired woman, starting their healing spell.
But at that moment a sound was heard, something fell from the sky and crashed into the center of the camp.
From the crater emerged Luther, limping, his clothes torn to shreds from the battle and now a massive purple mark staining his abdomen from the blow he had taken.
Spitting blood, Luther dropped to one knee, but lifting his gaze he looked at his rivals with hatred, the ones who had driven him to this point.
"You sons of bitches! How dare you... How... Ho—" the dark elf muttered before vomiting blood violently.
That strike had connected at his most vulnerable moment, not to mention the fall from such a considerable height that had even broken a couple of ribs.
It would not be easy to recover from that, especially now that his magic was nearly depleted.
"Old man... Just stop screwing around! Just die already!" Lucian shouted as he began running toward his enemy, gripping the violet sword.
Despite his determination to end the battle, the green-haired elf was still fighting the dark magic that had seeped into him, dulling his senses like deadly poison.
Despite the pain, despite the dizziness and the urge to pass out, Lucian kept going, however Luther began charging his left hand with violet magic capable of poisoning the soul.
But Ebony struck Lucian with a blow that sent him to the ground, her expression serious, shield in one hand.
"What the hell, woman?!" Lucian complained, trying to stand, but it was impossible in his condition.
"Stop trying to act tough... You’re poisoned by his magic, if you take another dose like an idiot you could die, now let me handle this," the blonde girl said as she began walking toward Luther.
"Oh look who decided to come alone... Don’t have your little friends to save you anymore? Huh? BITCH?!" Luther shouted, enraged, his face twisted.
"Let’s finish this piece of shit old man..." Ebony said as she started running, closing the distance with Luther.
The dark elf received her, attempting to punch her with his fist wrapped in magic, but Ebony used her shield to slam into his fist with force, deflecting the attack.
"You’ve gotten so slow, now you really look like my grandpa when he was drunk trying to hit his kids," Ebony said with a confident smile and mocking tone.
"Shut up already! You talk too much, you damn bitch, I’ll make you watch as I kill your frie—" With a direct strike from the heavy shield, Luther was silenced instantly.
Luther staggered back a couple of steps, he looked at Ebony who had now lost her smile, serious and silent, the girl began walking toward the dark elf.
Seeing his disadvantage, Luther tried to flee, but his legs could barely support his weight and he fell to the ground.
"You’re going to do this and that... You’re going to kill everyone... All you think about is making others suffer with your stupid poison, you damn bastard!" Ebony shouted in frustration, however seeing the elf crawling on the ground trying to escape, she sighed.
"You know... Once a friend told me, don’t hate snakes for having venom, it’s their nature, they were born that way," the blonde said before smashing her enemy’s legs with her shield, breaking his bones.
The elf’s scream of pain echoed through the forest, yet he refused to die and kept trying to crawl away.
"I told him... Old man, I don’t hate snakes for their venom, I hate not having the antidote to their bite to save lives... That’s why even if it’s ugly sometimes..." Ebony stepped on the elf’s back, stopping his escape.
"Sometimes you have to cut off the head to save lives in the future."
After that, Ebony’s shield fell like a guillotine onto her enemy’s neck, ending the battle.
