I reincarnated as an elf .......and married the yandere villainess.-Chapter 63:Married
The officiant swallowed.
"Then.. by the authority granted...do you take..."
"I do.."
She cut him off answering too fast. The officiant froze the mask he was barely keeping slipping.
"... I have not yet.." he started.
"I said yes."
Atheline almost chuckled at the deer-in-the-headlights look everyone had.
’I’m starting to be immune’
Her hands tightened around his as she stared sharply at the officiant.
"You can continue if it makes you feel useful."
The man didn’t waste the opportunity given and the ceremony stumbled forward.
"... Do you take this man..."
"Yes."
"... to bind your life, your soul, your..."
"Yes."
Each yes came more sharply, displaying the hint of possessiveness she had towards.
Her answers were just too much for the officiant to handle. He turned desperately to Atheline’s side hoping for a respite.
"And you.. do you take..."
"I do."
Atheline didn’t spare the poor man. There was no hesitation as he accepted her vows.
Lilth froze as though she had been electrocuted. Her hands came to his cheeks and held his gaze something fragile flickering behind the obsession she always wore like her second personality.
"Say it again," she whispered.
Atheline didn’t pull away from her touch despite being in front of the whole congregation.
"I do."
Something inside of her snapped into place like a piece of a missing puzzle had found its place.
The officiant rushed the final words.
"Then by sacred light, you are bound..."
She didn’t wait. She pulled him towards her and he moved voluntarily.
She kissed him, her tongue seeking entry into his mouth without the care of the audience they had.
Atheline wasn’t one to refuse. His hands went around her waist as he deepened the kiss.
Several nobles looked away in discomfort as the two went at it without a shred of shame.
The kiss felt special, like a sealing pact between them.
The moment they separated Atheline didn’t even try to look towards his parents’ side. He leaned forward as she wiped the dark lipstick that had stained his mouth.
She pulled him back down, her lips going to his ear while her hand went into his hair.
Her voice dropped to something only he could hear.
"If you ever try to leave me..."
A soft breath passed over his ears. Atheline felt a shiver go down his spine.
"I will break the world before I let it take you."
Atheline’s heart hit harder against his chest. The pause felt almost uncomfortable.
"I’d rather destroy you myself than lose you."
Atheline let out a ragged breath as her words sank in, into his psyche.
The bell rang signaling the full eclipse approach. She let go of him and stepped back.
She took his hand and looked up at the moon, which almost fully overlapped the sun.
"It’s time," she said softly.
The dark elven priest stepped forward, a dark bowl at hand. Behind him followed another holding a ceremonial knife.
The priest held the knife and gestured for both of them to put their hands together.
Atheline glanced at her and she nodded.
They placed their hands concurrently and the priest sliced through them.
"With the blood as a medium, " he stared," may the goddess witness the union of these two under the moon. "
They intertwined their hands the moment the moon fully covered the sun. The world went dim but there was still light.
At this moment, in the dark elven territory in the middle of the valley. The alter deep within glowed before it dimmed and returned to its unusual self.
The full eclipse didn’t last longer than a minute before the sun and the moon started to slowly separate.
The marriage had finally been sealed.
Atheline looked at his already healed hand and sighed. They had basically gone through the extreme and tied each other up.
’If any of us dies, the other won’t survive for long ... Guess I have to try and become strong to make sure we’re both unkillable’
Atheline squeezed her hand and turned his attention towards the guests. His other dreaded moment had arrived.

.
.
Nobles conversed among themselves while they ate the little deserts but all their conversations were focused on the new couple at the front.
The venue had been moved from the ceremonial halls to the palace gardens but still under the world trees. Golden light spilled through the leaves illuminating the smiling couple.
It was Atheline doing the smiling but they were married now which meant they were basically one representation.
Most of the nobles had started to organise themselves into careful lines.
Except for the rulers, everyone went to the line or would occasionally join as it moved forward.
"Stay close," Lilith whispered to him her hands tightening around him as her impatient gaze went to everyone before them.
The herald stepped forward and struck his staff on the floor.
"Presenting her highness and..." he paused as his gaze went to Atheline then his family beside the king," ..her crown consort."
The words didn’t really give Atheline’s position justice but he had been called that by everyone working in her palace, so he got used to it.
The first to approach was of course the high elf nobles.
Of course they were.
An elderly elf, dressed in expensive and intricate robes his expression carefully neutral.
He bowed.
"Your majesty," he glanced at Lilith then to Atheline," I offer my congratulations to this union."
Lilith stared at him, her head tilted a little.
"Do you?"
The noble stilled, his eyes avoiding hers.
"Yes, your majesty. "
Lilith chuckled.
"Good, perish whatever though you have."
She dismissed him with a wave. The elder elf stepped aside dignity forgotten.
The next approached, then the next, and the next each repeating almost the same script as they said their congratulations.
Atheline was so bored, and it was clear Lilith was on the verge of impatience.
’Who even came up with this tradition?’
If things weren’t bad then they just got worse.
A young noble human woman stepped forward with a bright smile on her face and a sweet voice.
Atheline recognised her after a third take. She was a princess of one of the human kingdoms.
’How is she even in line’
"Your majesty, this is truly a beautiful ceremony. And your husband..."
She paused her gaze moving to Atheline. Only a fool would miss her admiration of him. Atheline felt like facepalming at her sheer courage and stupidity at the same time.
"Your husband...is quite remarkable."
The noisy grounds went quiet. Everyone turned their attention towards them.
Lilith didn’t even look at her.
Her gaze went to Atheline first then back to the woman, then to Atheline.
She had the same strained smile on her face. Atheline’s heart skipped even though he hadn’t done anything wrong.
