I reincarnated as an elf .......and married the yandere villainess.-Chapter 61:Morning of the.(bonus)
It was almost past midnight and Atheline was proven right when he said preparations were going to be tiring.
Fitting clothes, jewelry, and taking deep baths in aether-infused pools with almost ten servants surrounding you and panicking in his stead wasn’t the way he wanted to spend the night before his wedding.
"I think it looks good, sir Seris," he said for the fifth time, irritation sipping into his voice.
The tailor a short, blue-haired, lean man shook his head as he walked around him.
Seris was their personal tailor and had been responsible for making his wedding robes and Lilith’s dress.
He also made the palace clothes.
Atheline hadn’t seen it but he was sure it was going to be a beautiful dress that matched her fully.
He sighed inwardly and looked at Helther who was sipping wine and laughing at his plight.
"Stay still young lord, I think there might be crises at the corner," he reprimanded and held the edge of the robes.
Atheline rolled his eyes but waited patiently as he smoothed out the robe.
"Do you think something might happen tomorrow?" Helther asked suddenly.
Atheline nodded while looking at himself in the mirror.
"There are quite a lot of people who do not support this union," he carefully said," almost all the invited species have arrived, which means we’re more open to danger or an attack during the ceremony. "
Helther nodded.
"The number of security has been increased but how about I add another ten warriors since the ceremonial hall isn’t really built for defence, " Helther offers.
Atheline nodded.
"Sure.. it wouldn’t hurt to have more in place just in case."
Silence ensued as they both watched all crises small or large, disappear and the robes become smoother.
"I feel sorry for you," Helther said amusement in his voice.
"Why?"
Atheline looked at him in confusion.
"You’re going to see your wife before the wedding," he said," no element of surprise. "
Atheline rolled his eyes.
"Lily never ceases to amaze so that won’t cut it," he said with a smirk," pass me those sweet, the blue ones."
Atheline sighed softly inside.
’This is it, I wonder how Lily is faring’
.
.
.
Lily wasn’t much better. Her session was more intense since most of the maids were too scared to approach her.
The ones who did were all her personal maids she had come with and the head maid.
She sat inside a tab and the maids massaged her body to release all the tension.
Her mind was on Atheline, wondering how he was also doing.
’I want to go see him... I miss him so much already... I shouldn’t have postponed the wedding... I can’t wait for the wedding night’
She stood up abruptly startling the maids.
"Your majesty you..."
"Thats enough, I think I feel all better and ready now," she said cutting off her head maid.
The maids all nodded and stepped back after helping her put on her bathrobe.
"Has everything been prepared?" She asked her personal maid.
"Yes your majesty, every security measure has been placed," she answered then continued, " we found some of the remnants hanging around the edge of the capital. They were trying to blend with the soldiers. "
"Tsk.. how annoying. They’re probably looking for those three," she chuckled, " I’m sure my husband will love the present I prepared for him."
Color drained from her personal maid’s face at the thought.
"Yes your majesty, " she affirmed," it is the best gift."
Lilth smiled almost giddy.
"I know."
The head maid helped her dress in her sleepwear before escorting her back to Atheline’s room.
She found Atheline waiting for her.
"Aren’t you asleep?" She asked him and climbed on the bed.
Atheline placed the book he was reading and lay down beside her.
"I was waiting for you."
She smiled. She rubbed his cheek affectionately.
"Go to sleep."
Sleep took both of them. They have a long day tomorrow.
.
.
.
.
Two hours before dawn the door was knocked. Both of them woke up at the same time the moment the first sound came.
"Young master, it’s time for your preparation."
Atheline grumpily got out of bed, dragged himself to the door, and opened just a little bit enough for him to get a good look at who was outside.
Lucian and Lilith’s personal maid was standing by the door with a strained smile on her face.
Atheline groaned inwardly.
’I only slept for two hours!’
He nodded to the two and closed the door behind him. Lilith was already awake but still lying on the bed.
"You should wake up, we have a long day ahead of us," Atheline said while looking for something appropriate to wear in the closet.
He picked out both their clothes and hurriedly put his on. They weren’t dressing in the same room but next door to each other.
That had been the compromise Lilith had accepted.
"If you need anything just send someone to call me," he said while buttoning up his robe," you look beautiful as always."
He didn’t wait for her response.
He kissed her forehead and walked out of the room in a hurry. They had a lot of things to do and Atheline didn’t want anything to go wrong on his wedding day.
He’s only got this one wedding where he was the main character.
Dressing and preparations didn’t take as long as he had imagined. An hour later, Atheline was fully dressed and reviewing all the rituals to get what he was supposed to do.
Since he would be the first to leave, he needed to be at the ceremonial hall first to receive his bride.
"Inform my beloved that I have left," he said to Lucian, who nodded and left.
Atheline didn’t want her looking for him and wondering where he had gone.
He left the room dead set on his first destination their home’s main hall. He needed to pay respect to his parents and inform them of his departure.
Downstairs both his parents were standing by the door waiting for him.
His mother seemed to have been crying because of how red and puffy her eyes were.
"Mother," he bowed to her.
"Father " he bowed to him.
His mother took his hand into hers and faintly squeezed.
"May the light protect you, my child," she said softly, " may you have a fruitful marriage that will bear healthy fruits."
Atheline smiled and accepted the blessing.
"Thank you, mother."
Lady Arthena smiled at him.
"May the light protect and give you strength to protect your family and the fruits that will be borne from your union," his father said offering his official blessing.
"Thank you, Father, I will fulfil my duty."
A smile barely flashed on his face before it returned to normal.
"Shall we go?" His brother interjected gesturing at the waiting carriage.
Atheline nodded and followed behind his family. Before he could enter the carriage his gaze went to his balcony.
His breath stopped.
There she was looking down at him like she owned the world a smirk on her face as she let him admire her.
"Atheline we should get going, " his brother’s irritated voice startled him out of his stare and he entered the carriage.
