I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier-Chapter 42: A War of Divinity
"Ground it," Lucifer commanded.
Elara did not hesitate. The Fallen Valkyrie launched herself off the cracked balcony. Her golden wings snapped open with a sharp, resonant crack, propelling her upward with the speed of a fired arrow.
She flew straight toward the jagged, closing rift in the bruised-purple sky.
Zerathis’s Avatar, severed from its primary divine power source by Lucifer’s cosmic beacon, was rapidly shrinking.
It was no longer a castle-sized limb threatening to crush the entire valley.
It had condensed into a towering, thirty-foot humanoid monstrosity of rotting flesh and fractured bone, completely trapped between the Divine Realm and the mortal plane.
The Avatar shrieked. It was a sound composed entirely of vibrating, necrotic magic, directed straight at Elara.
It swung a massive, sludge-covered fist at the approaching Valkyrie. The physical force behind the blow shattered the sound barrier.
Elara did not dodge.
She raised her heavy silver shield. The celestial light radiating from her core flooded the metal, forming a brilliant, solid golden dome of protective energy.
CLANG.
The Avatar’s fist slammed into Elara’s shield. The impact was catastrophic. A shockwave of pure concussive force exploded outward, blowing away the remaining necrotic fog covering the high peaks of the Scourgelands.
Elara was thrown backward in the air, her wings beating frantically to stabilize her descent. The heavy silver shield cracked loudly under the immense pressure of the Level 50 Legendary strike. The golden light flickered, but the barrier held.
"Filthy mortal!" the Avatar roared. Its voice was a guttural, wet sound, bleeding pure malice. "You dare strike the hand of a God?!"
The monster thrashed, trying to pull its remaining mass out of the shrinking rift. Thick, dark green blood poured from its fractured joints, raining down like acidic hailstones on the fortress below.
"You are not a God here," Elara countered. Her voice rang with absolute, divine authority.
She leveled her celestial javelin. She channeled every ounce of her remaining holy magic into the weapon.
"Sarah! Anchor it!" Elara shouted down to the balcony.
The Star-Touched Oracle didn’t need to be told twice. She had taken back her Scepter of Cosmic Alignment from Lucifer.
She stood near the balcony’s edge, her white dress whipping violently in the turbulent winds stirred by the battle in the sky.
Sarah slammed the base of the mythic staff into the cracked stone.
"Starlight Bind," Sarah whispered.
Four massive pillars of pure starlight shot up from the fortress courtyard.
They raced toward the struggling Avatar. The pillars materialized into thick, glowing silver chains. They did not wrap around the monster’s limbs like they had with the Bone Dragon. They struck the edges of the closing spatial rift.
The silver chains hooked directly into the fabric of the tear, physically preventing the rift from shrinking any further. They anchored the dimensional doorway open.
The Avatar roared in fresh panic. It grabbed the silver chains with its rotting hands, trying to snap them.
The starlight burned its necrotic flesh upon contact. The monster shrieked, thick black smoke pouring from its scorched palms, but the chains did not break.
"It is pinned!" Sarah called out, her voice strained. She dropped to one knee, panting heavily as the massive mana drain assaulted her core.
"Good," Lucifer said.
He stood on the balcony, watching the struggling monster.
Lucifer raised his left hand. The dark, spatial rift of his Dimensional Vault tore open beside him.
He reached in and pulled out a single, heavy, glowing blue crystal. It was the Cataclysm Orb he had secured from the Lich Lord’s stash. He had used one to vaporize Vorthos, but the multiplied loot drop had yielded a second orb.
"Elara!" Lucifer’s voice echoed up to the struggling Valkyrie. "Clear the airspace!"
Elara heard the command. She immediately folded her golden wings and dove into a steep, evasive spiral, dropping rapidly toward the fortress courtyard to avoid the impending blast radius.
Lucifer did not throw the Cataclysm Orb. He needed absolute precision. The Avatar was still partially inside the rift. If the explosion occurred outside the tear, the monster’s divine armor would absorb the brunt of the solar fire.
He needed to detonate the orb inside the monster.
Lucifer activated Zephyr’s Grace.
He became a blur of dark motion. He sprinted to the edge of the balcony and leapt directly into the empty air.
He did not have wings. He could not fly. But he was a Void Arcanist.
"Void Step," Lucifer whispered mid-leap.
He vanished.
Lucifer instantly materialized exactly one hundred meters straight up, appearing directly in front of the Avatar’s massive, rotting chest.
The Warlord hung suspended in the air for a fraction of a second, perfectly eye-level with the screaming monster.
The Avatar saw him. The creature’s eyes, burning with sickly purple fire, widened in sheer disbelief. A mortal had teleported directly into its strike zone.
The monster swung its massive, sludge-covered fist at Lucifer, intending to swat him out of the sky like an insect.
Lucifer did not dodge. He didn’t need to.
He channeled a concentrated pulse of Gravity Crush directly into the incoming fist. The localized, intense gravity slammed into the monster’s arm.
The rotting bones and necrotic flesh were instantly subjected to a thousand times normal atmospheric pressure.
CRACK.
The Avatar’s arm shattered violently. The thick bones splintered, and the rotting flesh compressed inward, completely stopping the punch dead in its tracks.
The monster shrieked in agony.
Lucifer twisted the top half of the silver Cataclysm Orb, activating the three-second fuse.
Click.
He used his Warlord’s immense physical strength. He drove his heavy iron gauntlet forward, punching the activated orb directly into the open, bleeding wound on the Avatar’s shattered chest.
He buried the explosive deep inside the creature’s necrotic ribcage.
Click.
"Enjoy the light," Lucifer stated coldly.
He immediately channeled his remaining mana.
"Void Step."
Lucifer vanished again, teleporting a hundred meters straight down, reappearing flawlessly on the cracked balcony next to the kneeling Sarah.
He landed heavily, his boots cracking the stone, and immediately threw his left arm around the Oracle, shielding her with his dark armor.
High above them, the Avatar of Zerathis realized what had just been planted inside its chest.
The monster let out a final, deafening scream of absolute terror.
Click.
The Cataclysm Orb detonated.
The explosion was contained entirely within the Avatar’s body for a microsecond. The creature’s rotting flesh expanded, glowing with blinding, pure white solar fire from the inside out.
Then, it ruptured.
There was no concussive shockwave. The legendary solar blast was absolute. The ten-meter radius of pure, unadulterated heat completely vaporized the top half of the Avatar.
The rotting head, the shattered arms, and the massive chest cavity were erased from existence in a flash of blinding white light.
The lower half of the creature, completely severed from its core, instantly lost all cohesion. The remaining legs and lower spine crumbled into a shower of gray ash and harmless, smoking bone fragments that rained down over the fortress.
The massive rift, no longer held open by the Avatar’s mass, snapped violently shut with a deafening thunderclap.
Sarah’s silver starlight chains dissolved into nothing.
The sky above the Scourgelands was suddenly empty.
The dark, Bruised-purple clouds were entirely gone. The afternoon sun shone brightly over the fortress, casting long, stark shadows across the ruined balcony.
[System Warning: Boss Eliminated!]

Lucifer slowly stood up. He lowered his arm, allowing Sarah to safely look up at the clear sky. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
The Star-Touched Oracle stared at the empty space where the rift had been. She let out a long, trembling sigh of relief.
The crushing, terrifying weight of the Divine Realm was finally gone.
"You killed a god’s projection," Sarah whispered, her voice filled with absolute awe. She looked at Lucifer, her swirling, cosmic eyes wide.
"The Church has spent centuries praying for the gods to save them, and you just blew one out of the sky."
"He was trespassing," Lucifer said simply.
He brushed a light dusting of gray ash off his dark leather tunic. He felt the heavy, satisfying pulse of the Carnage Core on his hip.
The artifact had gorged on the massive, high-density death energy released by the Avatar’s destruction.
The Warlord aura radiating from his body felt even denser, heavier with the absolute authority of a man who could kill legends.
A sudden, sharp whistling sound caught his attention.
Lucifer looked up. Something was falling from the exact spot where the Avatar had been vaporized. It was small, catching the sunlight as it plummeted toward the balcony.
He pulled the object into his hand.
It was a small, intricately carved wooden box, sealed with a complex golden lock. It pulsed with a faint, ancient magic that felt entirely different from the necrotic rot of Zerathis.
It felt like the laws of the world itself.
[System: Legendary Loot Acquired!]
[Item: The Sovereign’s Casket]
[Status: Locked by Fate.]
Lucifer stared at the small wooden box in his hand. He recognized the magical signature. This was not a standard drop from a monster.
This was an anomaly, a fragment of the System’s core architecture, hurled into the mortal plane by the violent clash of divine magic.
Elara walked over to Lucifer and looked at the small wooden box.
"Is that a core drop?" Elara asked, her brow furrowing in confusion. "It does not look like standard loot."
"It isn’t," Lucifer replied softly. His eyes narrowed as he examined the golden lock. "It is a piece of the old world."
