I Received System to Become Dragonborn-Chapter 939: Dungeon Again
Chapter 939: Dungeon Again
Sylmira stood still for a heartbeat after Erend’s words.
"She’s in your hands now."
The sentence itself was calm, respectful, even trusting. But underneath it Sylmira felt there were something vast. A weight that pressed against her senses like the presence of a thunderstorm hiding behind clear skies.
Her high Magic sensitivity responded instinctively, pulling her deeper into the sensation radiating from Erend.
He wasn’t flaring his aura of power or anything or doing anything consciously threatening, But it still felt like standing on the edge of an endless abyss when she look at him.
That power. That density of raw Magic, makes Sylmira thinks.
"He’s stronger than Eccar..." Sylmira thought. "And I didn’t even think that was possible."
She forced herself to breathe and gathered her composure with a practiced smile.
"Understood," she said gently. "You have my word."
Erend nodded in return and offered a small smile. "She’ll be here a while. I’ll leave soon, there’s another world I need to return to."
Sylmira tilted her head. "You leaving so soon?"
"I’ve got something else I need to handle," Erend replied. Then he turned slightly to Eccar. "I think now’s the right time to go back. There."
Eccar blinked.
"There?" Then, after a second, realization come to him. "Ah. There..." He nodded, expression turning serious. "Yeah, alright. I guess you’re right. We need more strength anyway."
With that, the two Dragonborns turned toward the exit. Erend glanced back at Arty.
"Don’t cause too much trouble," he said, lips curling into a half-grin. "Listen to Sylmira."
Arty rolled her eyes and waved him off. "Yeah, yeah. I know."
Sylmira watched as the two vanished through the door, and for a moment her mind returned to what they said.
"We need more strength," Eccar had said.
A quiet shiver moved through her spine. There was something between them, something big. She suspected they had a secret method only Dragonborn could access.
"Maybe that is what makes them grow so fast? Is that the secret to their evolution?"
She didn’t know. But her curiosity was piqued deeply.
However, for now, she turned toward the girl standing beside her. Arty looked young and bright, but her posture hinted at steel beneath the surface.
"Have you had dinner?" Sylmira asked gently.
Arty shook her head. "Not yet." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"Then we’ll eat first," Sylmira said. "But before that, you’ll need proper clothes. Walking through the city in your world’s outfit would attract too much attention."
Arty blinked, her nerves returning slightly. "Oh. Right. That makes sense."
Sylmira stepped to a cabinet near the wall and opened it, drawing out a folded pair of elegant clothes.
It was a modest but beautifully designed set of female attire of this world, tailored to match the fashion of Qomore. Flowing fabric with clean seams, etched with subtle runes along the hem. It was Sylmira’s own clothes.
"I prepared this earlier, just in case," Sylmira said as she handed it over.
Arty took it with both hands, the material lighter than she expected. "Thanks."
A few minutes later, they emerged from the room into the hallway. Arty walked beside Sylmira, glancing down at the soft blue robe, the leather belt, and the embroidered cuffs.
"This actually looks cool," she thought, tugging at the sleeve and trying not to smile too much.
---
They stepped into Eccar’s chamber once more. The door shut quietly behind them, sealing off the palace’s echo and leaving only the warmth of golden lights flickering against stone walls.
Eccar leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. His eyes already on Erend. He could tell from the air between them, this wasn’t a casual visit to entrust Arty to Sylmiraa.
"So," Eccar said, "we’re really doing it again. Back to the Dungeon World?"
Erend gave a slow nod. "Yes. We have to. You felt it too, right? Sylmira was practically trembling when she looked at us. We’re powerful, but... not enough."
Eccar exhaled and pushed off the wall.
"You’re right. The threats are getting worse. If we’re gonna deal with whatever Krono hinted at which is visiting another Dragonborns, we can’t go in half-prepared," Eccar said.
"That’s why we’re going to grind more and treat it like a routine. We need to do it days, weeks, maybe months. We need to raise our levels and sharpen everything. So that when Krono calls again we’ll be ready," Erend said.
Eccar ran a hand through his hair and gave a low whistle. "We’re talking serious training arc, huh?"
"Serious enough that I’m not going to hold back," Erend said, a flicker of red light dancing across his eyes. "We’ll go in deeper in the levels so we take the harder enemies who will gives us more essence. No avoiding the pain this time."
Eccar grinned. "I got it, boss."
Erend’s gaze grew distant for a second and turn thoughtful.
"When Krono come to us and proceed to the next part of the plan, we’ll be heading to another world again to find another Dragonborn. Maybe more than one. I’m not sure how well that will goes."
"You think they’ll even join us?" Eccar asked. "You know how we are. We don’t exactly follow orders."
"They won’t have to," Erend replied. "They’ll see what’s coming. Just like we did. I think they will change their mind."
Eccar was quiet for a beat, then nodded. "Alright."
Erend stepped toward the center of the room, where the portal already opened.
"We move now."
Together, they the enterd the portal and the chamber began to shift.
---
They step their feet again in the middle of the desert. The heat from the sun above were scorching hot and it feels like its hotter than before when they first come here.
"Its getting hotter, damnit!" Eccar said with annoyed tone.
Not long after they stepped into this Dungeon World, not even a minute, the sands begin to moved and the ground trembled. They look around with serious looks. Last time they were here they actually meet some heavy resistance, so this time they also expected the same.
