I Received Messages From Future Self!-Chapter 168 - : Taotie Takes Action
Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Taotie Takes Action
Hotel!
Fifth floor corridor!
“Are you sure it’s room 507?”
Taotie, having recovered his original appearance, asked the woman beside him.
“Yes, the target is in room 507.”
The female secretary replied with a smile.
“508 has always been a decoy, housing a detective from the Tang City Police Department’s first division.”
“It’s a good thing you had me double-check,” she added.
“That woman Capricorn’s information is unreliable. She almost screwed us over.”
The female secretary said angrily.
“Mmm, I’ll settle scores with that bitch when we get back.”
Taotie grimaced and nodded in agreement.
“Is the cop still in room 508?”
Taotie looked toward the tightly shut door of room 508 and asked.
“Not anymore!”
“They were just called away!”
“It seems their surveillance target showed up but then escaped; they went to help capture him,” she said, checking her phone to confirm the information.
“Good!”
“Now it’s our turn to make a move!”
Taotie nodded and said coldly.
“You go downstairs and wait for me. Once we succeed, we’re leaving immediately. I don’t want the cops clinging to us,” Taotie said with a look of disgust.
Something seemed to remind him of an unpleasant memory.
Seeing Taotie’s expression, the female secretary shrank her neck and obediently walked toward the elevator.
The thing her boss despised the most was cops.
The thing he feared the most was also cops.
Taotie had suffered a great loss at the hands of the Tang City Police Department years ago.
A few years back, he had nearly been caught at villa number five.

A damn dog had dug up the bones Taotie had buried in the garden, trapping him in the basement. If the cops hadn’t been unaware of the basement at that time, Taotie might have had a slim chance of survival.
It was by eating a woman’s corpse that Taotie had managed to hide in the basement for two days, escaping only after the forensic doctor had withdrawn and sealed off the villa.
Taotie was lucky indeed!
He had just escaped from villa number five when the cops obtained the design blueprints, learned about the basement’s existence, and made a return sweep to search it.
Luckily, Taotie left just in time, otherwise…
There would be no Taotie today!
Half a month ago, Taotie returned to Tang City.
To deal with traitors in Tang City, another mishap occurred.
The traitor had embezzled several billion worth of Bitcoin from the organization’s research funds.
While tracking the traitor, Taotie again crossed paths with the police from the Tang City Police Department. Fearing the traitor would cooperate with the police to save his own life and betray the Blacklist, Taotie was forced to kill the traitor, but the Bitcoin worth billions was lost.
Upon returning to the Blacklist headquarters, Taotie was reprimanded severely and had his operational funds for the year docked.
It caused Taotie to lose face within the Blacklist.
In Tang City, Taotie never had any luck; he was either being pursued by cops or having his plans foiled by them, never once managing to complete a mission smoothly.
It seemed as if Taotie and Tang City, as well as the cops of the Tang City Police Department, were inherently opposed, destined to clash.
Watching the female secretary enter the elevator.
The elevator traveled from the fifth floor to the first.
Taotie then withdrew his gaze.
Taotie’s cold gaze rested on the door of room 507, a flash of ferocity briefly crossing his eyes.
“Now it’s time to deal with you!”
Taotie muttered to himself as he walked toward room 507.
Taotie stretched out his hand and gripped the doorknob.
The muscles on his arm bulged suddenly, and with a “crack,” he crushed the door lock.
Seeing this, a hint of smugness flashed in Taotie’s eyes. He lifted his leg and fiercely kicked the door. Instantly, the door, already lacking a lock, was kicked open by Taotie.
Taotie, like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey, charged into the room.
His cold gaze swept over the bathroom’s glass door, confirming there was no one inside, and he continued toward the bedroom without pausing.
If not in the bathroom, then in the bedroom.
The sound of Taotie breaking the door also caught the attention of the criminal investigators in room 512, who were securing the area. Two local police officers immediately ran over toward the noise.
As they ran, they also drew their batons.
“Not here?”
Looking at the empty room, Taotie was perplexed and unwillingly surveyed the area again to confirm there was no place for Fang Xiaocao to hide. Only then did Taotie turn around with an angry face and headed toward the door.
It was a miss!
The intelligence was inaccurate!
Taotie was furious, and the consequences were severe.
Just as he reached the entrance, Taotie heard footsteps, and he paused, his eyes gleaming fiercely.
Taotie’s creed was to slay any deity or Buddha in his way — anyone who dared to trouble him would be dealt with harshly.
The footsteps drew closer, and Taotie clenched his fists. As he did, his brawny arms bulged with muscles, veins popping out.
At this moment, Taotie was intent on killing!
Whoever it was must have been drawn by the noise he had just made, nosing around and looking for trouble.
When two policemen appeared in his field of vision, dressed in uniform and holding batons, Taotie’s pupils contracted and then his killing intent surged violently, and he swung his fists.
His fists, large as sandbags, swung with a force that would cleave mountains, aiming for the heads of the two policemen.
The two policemen, although they were from the grassroots level and not active on the front lines of combat, were still systematically trained. They instinctively dodged to avoid the punch aimed at their heads.
Clearly, however, their lack of actual combat experience was no match for Taotie, who frequently struggled on the edge of death.
Taotie’s punches missed, and in an instant, he forcefully sprang into the air, executing a Muay Thai knee strike toward the chests of the two policemen.
With two dull thuds, the policemen were sent flying backward, crashing harshly against the corridor wall.
“Pu…”
The two policemen spat out a mist of blood and collapsed to the floor.
“Hmph!”
Seeing policemen rushing to support from the direction of room 512, Taotie snorted coldly, gave up the idea of a follow-up attack, and turned to run toward the stairwell.
The elevator was not an option.
It was too easy to get trapped inside.
Taking the stairs was much safer.
Even if there were people waiting for him on the ground floor, he was confident he could fight his way out.
Taotie took three steps at a time and quickly reached the first floor, five stories fleeting by in no time.
Simultaneously, the elevator doors beside him opened.
Several policemen rushed out.
Taotie gave them a glance, not even a gun among them.
Ignoring these policemen, he hurried toward the hotel’s main entrance.
Without guns, they posed no threat to him, and Taotie was intent on making a quick escape from the scene.
If police reinforcements arrived any minute, he would be in trouble.
Taotie burst out of the hotel where a female secretary’s car was already waiting at the entrance, the passenger door open, ready for Taotie to get in.
Taotie swiftly jumped into the passenger seat and said sternly, “Drive, go!”
Upon hearing Taotie’s command, the female secretary didn’t hesitate. She floored the accelerator, and the car shot away.
