Chapter 1826: Preparing to Meet the Hescos!

[It’s your call!] She didn’t stress too much over this point, despite all of his top leaders and generals asking the lady nymph to try and convince him.

They wanted to come with him, people like Lily, Isac, and even Legend and Major. Yet Hye was stubborn about this point and refused to come with him!

For one point, he didn’t want to have many who could slow him down or be a liability. From another point, he didn’t want to expose his forces like that, especially someone like Major and the pirate king.

As for what they wanted, he didn’t even mention this to the lady nymph. He avoided asking them anything before the meeting, so they wouldn’t take this as a sign of weakness and would make things more difficult for him.

He learnt his lesson quite well from his long dealings with the Toranks. Being generous, kind, or showing respect for anyone dealing with him wasn’t right. And on top of anything, showing his weakness or need for something wasn’t going to make things easier for him.

As he decided on this approach with the Hescos, he started to visit more warzones, making the best out of his time. He made sure to discuss his routes, making sure he wouldn’t get drifted far away from his final destination.

Yet the universe was so chaotic! Anywhere there were lots of wars erupting daily! Most of the conflicts were about the control of recently found spirit crystal mines. And yet there were a few which were other stuff.

Things like fighting over planets, weak races, and even some weapon deals were present in some wars.

For Hye, he wouldn’t say no to any chance he would find. For any weak race he met in the middle of any war, he would instantly try to invite them to his kingdom. Most refused, and few agreed to join his force. For those who agreed, he would open many portals leading to the newly established territory at the border of the universe.

He would leave behind his trusted generals, who moved their fleets to buy enough time for the races to move through the portals.

As for those who refused, he would simply use brute force, making them sign contracts using his technique. And then he would simply open portals, leave behind his capable generals with their fleets, before going back to the raging war around to hunt more loot. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Yet such occasions were quite rare. Of all the wars he went through, he only met four of such occasions. Yet he wouldn’t even complain if he just met a single chance like this.

One month wasn’t that long, yet Hye tried to make the best use out of it. In the end, he stopped and headed straight towards the planet for the meeting.

[I gathered all the recent updates about the Hescos as you asked.] The lady nymph sent lots of reports regarding the recent news and intel regarding the activities that the race was famous for.

Hye asked her to gather this one month ago. If he was going to strike a deal with them, he needed to first learn in detail what they were famous for.

[Great job!] he went through the reports fast, before sucking in a cold breath, "They aren’t called the best race in the universe for nothing! And here I thought their top commodity was their unique suits! The suits are just the tip of the iceberg for those folks..."

Hye sat inside his small ship, setting it on autopilot mode, while going slowly over the reports he received.

The reports covered lots of things the Hescos were famous for. The suits were indeed a hot commodity in the universe, yet they limited those who could trade for them. Besides, they had a skyrocketing price that made Hye evilly grin.

"I don’t need the suits, I have my old Gan department making lots of these. What a shame! If I knew they were highly sought after like this, I’d have sold a lot before this meeting!"

He knew once he accepted the meeting, he shouldn’t do anything bad to them. He still wasn’t sure of the purpose of this, but he knew the odds of meeting to strike a peace treaty with him were very high.

"Aside from these suits, they trade lots of U.stat crystals, spaceships, different weapons, and what I need the most; warrior tokens... Wait, can they even provide entire races for trade? What the heck?!!"

Hye froze the moment he spotted that report. It wasn’t very detailed, but from it, he knew the Hescos had such trade going on. As a race that partook in lots of apocalypses and won most, they weren’t short of any race.

In fact, Hye started to see where this trade came from. Even in his apocalypse, there were useless races who provided nothing worthy of mention for twenty years!

Such races would be best to trade in for high prices; that was a great deal to him. "Thanks to the crazy prices they asked for, this kind of trade was never that popular... In fact, they had no demand for over a thousand years... Wow!"

Hye felt this was super weird, yet when he gave it more thought, he realised why this happened. "If I’m a race that won an apocalypse, then I’d either be poor to try and buy more races to join my kingdom, or so strong and rich like the Toranks, and I won’t need to buy any race at all..."

He nodded in realisation, feeling this was the right reason behind the low to zero demand for this service.

For races like the Toranks and Hectors, they wouldn’t be short of new races thanks to the large number of apocalypses they were winning. As for the middle kingdoms, ones like Major’s, Hye could tell their top priority wasn’t in growing their population, but to grow their overall strength by visiting the outer battlefield.
