I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1819: Evading Hye Is the Right Answer!
Such a small-scale war that happened in this small area of space turned out to be the hottest spot in the universe at the moment!
The person who stirred all this in the entire universe wasn’t paying any attention to that. Hye simply focused on following the progress his warriors were making in this war, while gathering the loot left behind.
At the first hour of this war, the situation didn’t look very intense to the Golden Cross forces. They simply tried to stop Hye by moving more ships over and trying to use long distance attacks to take down his ships.
In their eyes, Hye was just using three fleets to attack them, a number that looked small in this big scale war. And yet when the attacks stopped by the superior defensive shields of the outer universe ships, it was clear to everyone watching the war that this tactic wouldn’t work.
Hye was feeling such confidence by using the outer universe ships. He knew how sturdy their defensive shields were, especially when he filled the ships with his upgraded warriors.
After leaving them to train for enough time under the gem effect, their cultivation bases soared by leaps and bounds. They weren’t the same warriors he used in the last war. And now steering the outer universe ships wasn’t that taxing or exhausting like how it was before.
Just by watching how his ships stopped the thick barrage of attacks that came from many flagships the Golden Cross moved to attack him was enough evidence for that.
He watched the first wave of attacks, before finally dropping any worry or doubts he had. "I need to train more warriors, give them more time to raise their cultivation bases," Hye thought to himself, before checking over the loot he gained so far.
"Not shabby," he gained lots of bones, enough ships to form half a fleet, and on top of that he amassed many golden coins. There wasn’t enough yet to make him feel that rich, but he felt like those Golden Cross folks were wealthy!
"I have won almost one hundred times of the golden coins I gained from all the wars I’ve been involved in so far!"
He knew he never focused on gathering the loot properly before like he was doing now. Aside from this, it felt like after this war he would gain enough golden coins to make a few deals, gain more warriors.
Hye then focused on something else. He accidently opened the common channel after five hours had passed. The Golden Cross forces started to switch their tactics. Instead of targeting him, they began evading anywhere his fleets were!
This made it harder for his forces to attack like how it was at first. So, he thought of going to the common channel and issued a request for the Hescos.
They hadn’t tried to contact him yet. The only messages he got came mainly from Silverlining, which he totally ignored.
Yet when he opened the common channel, he was amazed by what he saw. "There are lots of people broadcasting this war live, and according to them, the views are skyrocketing like most of the universe are watching this fight..."
Hye was taken aback by this sudden realisation. Then it hit him. "That’s why that dude is trying his best to get in touch with me, I get it... But what I don’t get is why the Hescos didn’t try to cooperate with me. Don’t tell me their pride is that high and they won’t easily bypass our grievances for the sake of winning this battle!"
He didn’t believe such a mighty race would act in such a pity. And yet he ignored all the hectic topics and threads on the common channel and wrote another post.
[A message from human Hye to the Hescos force fighting here: Let’s collaborate motherfckers!]
He was bold when he wrote this topic. And in mere minutes, the post turned out to be the most heated one in the entire common channel!
Lots of people commented, while the ones live broadcasting the war put a special emphasis over it. Hye didn’t stay there to see what their response would be, and simply collected the few loot his forces gained, before returning to his ship.
"Those bastards... They didn’t even bother to contact me on the ship channel!" Hye waited for any message to arrive, or a request for meeting or a call from the Hescos fleet in the area using his ship channel. But none happened!
"I’ll give them one more hour," Hye wasn’t idly waiting for them. He opened his ship radar and started examining the grand map in front of him.
"Those Golden Cross bastards know how to fight their wars," the first impression he got was how hard it was to force the Golden Cross hands in this war.
When it was clear there was no way to stop Hye, they decided to totally avoid him. They moved their fleets far from his, even to the extent that a big empty area was always there between his ships and theirs!
Instead of fighting a losing battle against him, they targeted the Hescos. Even if the Hescos were a frightening force, the Golden Cross still had better odds in winning over them than over Hye.
"Do you think this can stop me? Pathetic!" Hye shifted his eyes away from the radar, then opened the common channel again, "oh, they finally responded!"
Just when he was this close from losing all hope of working together with the Hescos over this war, he spotted a post that was written by Hescos leader in the area.
[To human Hye, let’s talk!]
He found this simple post, which mentioned a channel the Hescos arranged for the two to talk. "Lucas, find this channel and let’s connect to," he passed the numbers written in the post over to Lucas, and the latter let those responsible for this to find and connect to the channel.
