The first thing that comes out is the foot. With one determined strike, the wolf cub pierces through the hard shell and membrane, reaching its foot out to the real world.

The wolf’s leg is wet and covered in a dense, clear liquid. Its paws stretch to feel the air of the outside world.

Then its head follows up and pops out from under the shell. A wolf with fur as white as snow and clear blue eyes.

Blaze looks at it, and it looks at him. It opens its mouth and is already able to speak its first word.

"Mama?"

"Not Mama. Papa."

"Dada."

"Close enough."

The wolf cub doesn’t actually speak human tongue, but Blaze can understand it thanks to Beast’s Link.

"Are you going to get out of there?" Blaze tilts his head slightly.

The wolf understands him and flexes its entire body. Its white fur stands up like spikes and pierces through the eggshell, completely breaking it.

You’re one lucky dog, boy."

The wolf jumps onto him and licks Blaze’s face. Even though it is technically a cub, it is bigger than any dog or wolf that Blaze has seen. The cub is almost two meters wide, and its body is as heavy as an adult human’s.

"Alright. Alright. I like you too. Now sit down."

The cub does as it is told. It has the soul slave mark in its so above everything, the cub is very obedient.

The System sends a message.

Blaze drops down and pats the cub’s head. It lies on its back and shows Blaze its fat belly.

"Oh! You’re a girl, eh? Well, if it’s a girl. I should give you a feminine name. What do you think about Ella?"

The cub shakes its head.

"Hmm? How about Monica?"

The cub shakes its head even more.

Blaze rubs his jaw and thinks carefully.

"Well. Since you are white as snow. How about Snow?"

The cub sticks out its tongue to show its excitement. It lunges at Blaze and licks at him.

"Okay. Okay. Haha! Snow it is then."

"Hmm. I need someone to take care of you while I’m gone..."

With one flick of the hand, Anton and Hugo burst out from the Clone Storage.

"You call, Sire?" The two talk in unison.

"Yeah. I need you to take care of her. She’s a newly born wolf cub."

Anton and Hugo take a look at the two-meter-long Direwolf and its fully grown hair.

"Are you sure it is freshly born, Sire?" Hugo’s eyebrows furrow.

"Yes, I am. Find her something to eat. If there’s any problem, come to me."

"We understand, Sire." Hugo and Anton bow and lead Snow away.

The wolf cub looks at Blaze with her two big eyeballs, desperately wanting to stay. Blaze pats its head.

"Be good, now. I have work to do. We will meet soon."

Because of Beast’s Link, Snow was able to understand him despite the species difference. Snow voluntarily leaves with the two winged servants.

Blaze does have things to do, he has prepared his body to its maximum wellness to handle a metamorphosis. He has enough to upgrade Thunder Force to S-rank. The second S-rank ability that he’s going to have.

Genesis Legion’s metamorphosis was not nice to say the least, and it took quite a while. Now, Thunder Force is a much more aggressive power, and the process can be very demanding. The metamorphosis to A-rank was the best example.

So Blaze has to prepare and make sure his body is in perfect condition.

Now that Snow is gone, Blaze sits down on the rough and cold floor. The discomfort makes him want to break it into pieces.

"Another thing adds to the list. I need to put carpet in this cave...".

Blaze takes out a notebook and writes it down.

"Now... the important matter."

Blaze swipes his hand, calling upon the windows of the System.

And then, Blaze speaks.

And Blaze knows for sure that everything is real. He doesn’t hesitate long to make his choice.

It is obvious. Electrokinesis and Storm Rider aren’t bad. But comparing it to the power of a god, they never stand a chance.

So Blaze does what was only logical to do. He chooses to become the God of Thunder.

This metamorphosis, however, isn’t something that Blaze could have ever imagined or anticipated.

The primordial law is awakened, and before him, a gate of light opens. The reality that Blaze knows so well suddenly stops.

Everything stops. The clouds freeze. The air stops. And the people stand still like statues.

Even the souls in the other room freeze in place. Everything in this particular plane has lost its will and capabilities to move.

All because of the presence of that blinding gate of light. Blaze did not know what it was before this very moment. But when he sees it with his own eyes, he instantly knows the name of this gate. It is like the universe communicates with him the long-forgotten secret.

"The Gate of Heaven." Blaze utters the words that he doesn’t even know the weight of.

The Gate of Heaven. The door that leads to the Cosmic Order, the rulers of this very own universe.

This is no mere Vox Entertainment. Nor the Hyperion Federation. Nor the Institution of Order.

This is the group of the highest beings of every planet in this vast cosmic space.

Blaze regrets his choice. He doesn’t think that a mere S-rank power can lead to such an event, making him the center of attention of the most dangerous group of beings in this entire plane.

Not even Cerun-Kha is in the Cosmic Order. Or any of the gods in the True Sun Empire right now. The Sun God Infera was once a respectable warrior in the Cosmic Order, but that was a long, long time ago.

Blaze is only able to utter this one word before digitized pixels envelop him. He has not seen this type of energy for a while. It only showed up once when the System created the Destruction Wand for him.

Now it shows up a second time to snatch him out of the hands of the Cosmic Order.

Blaze is covered by the pixels and disappears from this realm. The gate of light is materializing, but suddenly it loses its target. So it slowly disappears and fades into nothingness.

The world continues like nothing happened, and only a few were able to be aware of the past few seconds.

Sebastian looks up in the sky with a confused look.

"Why did time stop?"
