I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 100: Cerun-Kha
Inside Adam’s office there is an altar with a statue standing on it. The statue is of a black-haired young man wearing a yellow robe.
The god of fissures and opportunity, Cerun-Kha.
Adam kneels down and bows at the statue. Then he takes out an odd piece of paper that is so old it has turned yellow.
He bites his index finger and lets the blood pour out. Adam uses the tip of his index finger like a pen to draw onto the paper.
<O’ Lord, give me strength to combat this darkness>
That is what Adam writes on the paper. And then he lights up an incense and sticks it gently into the sand bowl on the altar.
Adam holds the yellow paper on top of the incense, hoping that it will catch on fire.
Logically, there is no way that this paper can be ignited because of the small fire spot around the incense. Adam doesn’t even hold the paper still for it to touch the incense.
But that is the only way to ask Cerun-Kha for help.
Adam comes from a family with a long line of ancestors. They know much more about this world than the average citizen.
And he knows that there are forces out there that are too much for a mortal to comprehend.
At a trying time like this, only these forces are able to save him from utter destruction.
Wind blows in the window, causing the paper to flap even more, making it impossible for it to catch on fire.
Adam closes his eyes intensely, trying not to be distracted.
"Old Lord! Heed my call!"
He repeats one sentence again and again.
"Old Lord! Heed my call!"
He keeps on saying it, but nothing happens. The incense burns and burns.
And then thunder roars outside. The metal gate of the Police Headquarters is decimated. Blaze steps inside the station.
The eyes of the statue suddenly light up, and the yellow paper burns instantly.
When Adam opens his eyes, the paper has disappeared from existence. Not even ashes are left.
Adam smiles. He knows that God is now on his side.
A particular symbol appears on his forehead.
Blaze looks around the headquarters’ inner yard. Patrol cars and police vans are lying around. In the middle there is a beautiful fountain made out of marble.
This place looks way too luxurious.
In the parking lots, Blaze can see all kinds of expensive supercars. Their paint is gleaming even in the dark.
So this is what they used their money on.
Blaze steps forward.
Suddenly, all the windows of the headquarters building open up. Guns reach out from inside and aim at Blaze.
Some are normal rifles. Some are railguns. There are even the coreguns that use the power of the Crisis Core like Anderson had.
A man stands at the headquarters’ main door, holding a megaphone.
"You are entering government premises!
We will shoot you down if you do not leave!" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Blaze tilts his head to the side, taking in the view in the front.
Isaac flies above, observing the entire station.
"Do you not hear what I said?!
Leave this place!"
The cop yells again.
"It should be about now..."
Blaze says.
Suddenly, the ground under the building shakes.
Before anyone can understand what is happening, a large explosion erupts from under the floor.
The floor collapses, and several police officers fall down. Their formation breaks apart, and panic ensues.
Blaze takes a deep breath in, and the yellow aura exudes once again.
He disappears from his location and smashes into the chaotic police building.
The cops that fell down are caught by Hutton’s arm blade. Accompanying him is Sebastian, taking cover from a safe distance away and blasting his guns repeatedly.
While Blaze drew all the attention by raiding the main gate, Hutton and Sebastian went down to the city sewer and set up a bomb right below the Police Headquarters.
They didn’t want to completely destroy the place, so only a small bomb was used to dig out a hole in the front.
The bomb was taken from Adam’s personal arsenal itself.
Blaze gets inside the building and immediately uses Darkness. The shadow sphere blinds almost every cop, leaving only the one with the special helmet or sensing power able to see.
Then he wastes no time to activate Fear. The dark red energy pours out and finds its way to everyone.
It quickly penetrates inside the minds of a lot of cops, neutralizing them.
But to Blaze’s surprise, twenty cops do not get affected by the power at all.
Zach stands with his squat. All of them are twenty people. Each with a Mental Circlet on their head.
The dark red energy is pushed away by the low frequency produced by the device, keeping it out of reach of these people’s minds.
"We finally meet, Wraith."
Zach says.
Blaze squints his eyes. All these cops wear special helmets that can see in the dark, which causes his darkness to be completely useless.
But Blaze did not intend to use the shadow to blind the enemy anyway. He only uses it so that he is able to activate Shadow Phantom.
Even though that ability won’t be nullified by a light source any more, darkness is still required to activate it.
A cop sneaks behind Blaze and intends to shoot him from the back.
Hutton flies out of the hole on the ground in time. His arm turns into a blade and slices that cop’s hand off.
The cop screams in pain, but he is quickly muted by another deathly strike to the throat.
[You have gained 100 experience points!]
Yes, even his clones are able to collect experience points.
Most of the cops are already writhing on the floor with their deepest fear.
The rest were crushed by the explosion or fell down to the sewer.
Some were killed by Hutton, while the rest were handled by Sebastian.
They are only beat cops, so Sebastian should have no problem dealing with them.
The only threat left is the Deputy in front with his nineteen men.
"Kill yourselves."
Blaze orders, and the panic cops start to kill themselves. He can’t let them recover and join the attack. It is best to finish them right now.
A cop with a Circlet steps forward, intending to save his friend, but Zach pulls him back.
"Don’t do anything stupid, son.
They are already dead! If you don’t want to be like them, keep your eyes on the perp."
The young cop gulps and calms himself down. He returns to formation, giving up on saving his friend. The friend that is agonizingly dying by suicide.
"Perp? You mean me?"
Blaze lets out a chuckle.
"Who else? Attacking a government building. Killing government officials and agents.
You are the worst perp of them all."
Zach says.
"Perps means criminals. Criminals are people that broke the law.
You guys worked with Nadyr. Let him kidnap all those girls and then bank your own pocket with it.
That sounds like breaking the law to me.
That sounds like criminal activities.
That sounds like perps..."
Zach snorts at the idea.
"We did what we had to do to keep order in this city.
You can either know what the perps are doing, or you don’t.
You can never get rid of them.
And what did the citizens of this city do for us anyway?
All they do is complain and complain. Even when they are the source of the problems.
I bet if I fell down in the street, no one would bat an eye. They would have let me rot.
I know this better than anyone.
And so, I did the same to them."
